MythrilMagician 6,963 Posted May 5, 2014 All because of one small statement, there has been a lot of speculation that Kingdom Hearts III will have a PC release. Tetsuya Nomura said "Yes, Correct, but again DirectX 11 is the tool that we’re using and whichever hardware which has a compatibility with that tool, we can keep it consideration." Because of that, a PC release is likely but they didn't mention this at time of announcement which is strange and a norm for Square Enix. Still there is E3 to look forward to... Maybe then we can get an answer. 1 Kittenz reacted to this
Sora96 17,256 Posted May 5, 2014 I only see them releasing it on PC if they do it for FINAL FANTASY XV as well. And yes, Square Enix could easily announce a PC version this year. They announced the Xbox 360 version of FINAL FANTASY XIII in 2008. 2 Green Sparrow and Kittenz reacted to this

Sora96 17,256 Posted May 5, 2014 honestly, i don't know why they didn't do that, it would have made more sense than for xbox It doesn't matter what makes sense, it's what hardware supports it. It's firstly developed for PlayStation 4 and then they see what platforms can easily support it. Only Xbox One and PC can at the moment. 1 Kittenz reacted to this

I suppose that makes more sense, though it still seems like a baffling decision to me, seeing as how supposedly most Japan companies aren't too fond of Microsoft...you know, American competition and all that. There isn't competition, Square Enix just want more players. PC technically is Microsoft anyway.

You can use controllers on computers very easily. 1 MythrilMagician reacted to this

Sora96 17,256 Posted May 5, 2014 So why should I buy it for the Pc ? Some people prefer PC versions. PC versions usually look better. Personally I don't play PC games, but tons of people do.

Caity 3,946 Posted May 5, 2014 If there's a stir among fans, like people are arguing over it, why doesn't everyone just stfu and stop acting like they're the CEO of Square who gets to make all the decisions on what game belongs where and just wait to see if it's announced or not. 1 Raziel reacted to this
Aile 273 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) Personally I prefer playing games on a console, just because my PC can't run games, or they are very laggy :'D but I guess a PC release could be good for people who can't afford a console to play on. Ace326 79 Posted May 5, 2014 A PC version would be great. I hope its 60 fps for PS4, but if it is not PC will be depending on the hardware used hardware.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted May 5, 2014 There isn't competition, Square Enix just want more players. PC technically is Microsoft anyway. I was talking Japan in general. Most Japanese gamers tend to prefer Sony and Nintendo systems, as they are both Japan-born companies. I don't hear much about a Japanese Microsoft demographic, but I'm not necessarily in the know, so I could just be presumptuous for all I know.

Roxas Illini 49 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) What are you trying to say? Lol. Regardless of what you think makes more sense, Square Enix prefer to release their games on as many platforms as possible. Except for Nintendo consoles . They have not released a main series Final Fantasy non-remake on a Nintendo console since Super NES, because Nintendo preferred smaller and more expensive cartigades for the N64 in order to combat priracy rather than cheaper CDs which can store more data. Than Nintendo's president made that slight to Square, and Nintendo has been practically begging Square Enix to develop exclusives for them ever since Nintendo decided to go disc format for the Gamecube. Nintendo has been practically begging? LOL. For awhile there, Nintendo wouldn't even allow them to develop games for their consoles. Square wanted to release those Game Boy Advance ports years earlier. Nintendo's only got themselves to blame. Their hardware decisions prevent Square Enix and other developers from releasing their games on their consoles.
