My Idea For the Next Saga

My idea for the end of the first saga is having the worlds reconnect to be like they used to. Now, you can literally walk across an overworld from Agrabah to HalloweenTown. Each area wouldn’t be randomly placed though. Say Hawaii from Lilo and Stitch was in the game. You could walk off the Hawaii beach and go through an underwater route to get to Atlantica, then to Atlantis, or maybe take another route to end up in Monstro which if you stay in will take you to Prankter’s Paradise. You get the idea. However, after a couple of games, this set up would get stale, right? Same routes to the same worlds each game? No. Not like that. This would actually be one, two, or a maybe, at most, a few of the games in the saga, as the rest of the saga would be far off in another set of worlds of the universe

Now, we all know that Pixar has never been in KH, but it IS possible, since we all also know Woody and Buzz were almost summons in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. What if this new set of worlds was Pixar-oriented, with some worlds with unused Disney movies as well? This could make the series similar to the first saga, with the worlds being randomly placed around requiring various means of travel rather than simply walking over to each one. In this new world would be a new protagonist (I know it’s been confirmed we’re keeping Sora for as long as the series go on, but from a “I want freshness” and “we never know if Nomura is lying” sort of view…). This new protagonist would be taken out of his homeworld, ending up in a Toy Story-themed world, potentially the inside of The Claw from Pizza Planet. While here, the protag would take be the size of a toy and meet Woody and Buzz. Answering Woody’s call for help, the protag would help Woody track down Buzz. They travel the insides of The Claw and fight off heartless or some other type of enemy based off of the little green men. Eventually, in the main upper area of the claw where all the prize toys are, Buzz willingly attaches to The Claw and Woody and the Protag fight it, with the little green men trying to stop them. Eventually, I dunno how, Protag, Woody, and Buzz end up outside the Toy Story world. Buzz, seeing the various worlds placed around in a space-esque area gloats to Woody, saying things like “I told you I was a space ranger! Now I just need Star Command to send me a ship so we can get out of here,” which could be a running gag in the game. Buzz and Woody would find ways of fighting enemies through their tools. Outside of the Toy Story world, Buzz’s laser thing could actually be lethal and used for combat.

 

Anyway, this saga would be called “Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect”. See what I did there? The name we kept seeing in all those secret movies, and with the fact all the old worlds are connected again?

 

Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect, Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect 2, and Kingdom Hearts: Reconnect 3 would take place in the new separated worlds while “side games” would use the old connected worlds, with Sora and the rest of the old cast getting the spotlight and learning of the other worlds far-off in the distance.

 

Between the games in the series, Woody and Buzz return home for a while before springing back into action to help the protag save the worlds again, allowing for returns to the Toy Story world for Toy Story 2 and 3, and for Buzz learning that he’s not a real space ranger. In fact, the last world for the final game in the saga could use Toy Story 3 as the final main world. Adding the protag to the incinerator scene would actually make sense. He’s been on many journeys with Woody and Buzz now, and they’d be very close. Placing the protag among the them in the incinerator scene would actually be fitting and still have that same powerful tension the scene had in Toy Story 3. With their final journey currently taking place, and being so close to the end, just one world away, they’re just sitting there helplessly being pulled in to their death. They know they’ve failed and everything looks bleak. It could work.

Also, each Pixar world could easily have its own form for the Protag, Woody, and Buzz. Having a form for every world could be a big theme for the saga.

• Finding Nemo - Fish (imagine fighting Bruce as a fish holy crap)
• The Incredibles - Super Hero Costumes
• Cars - Cars (I can see this one being left out…)

• WALL-E - Robots
• Up - Dogs
• Brave - Cubs

(Possibilities, depending on when this game would theoretically come out)

• Inside Out - Uh, cells?
• The Good Dinosaur - Dinosaurs
• Dia de los Muertos Movie - ???

 

So, what do you guys think? Anybody like this idea? Hate it? It's sort of just a "What if?" thing, not saying I actually want it to happen, but I think it'd be cool. If this is in the wrong section, sorry. Just move it somewhere else.
