Shulk 8,623 Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) As any other fan would, I've been thinking about what all we have in store from Nintendo's performance this year at E3. They're definitely building hype for it, so we're going to have some pretty good things coming up here soon. My predictions are: New Mario game (2D platformer? new SM64 style game? I'd personally love to see a new game like the Galaxy games, although I won't jump to conclusions yet). Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U (Likely including specific release dates, and definitely some more characters). New game from Retro Studios. Information on new DS/GBA games coming to Wii U. eShop titles for 3DS and Wii U Some sort of Pokemon game (Main series or spin-off, maybe something about that teaser we saw way back when X/Y were coming out. Maybe even a new Stadium game?) Hyrule Warriors Monolith Soft's new game (Hopefully with a release date and an actual title). Bayonetta 2 Some sort of localization news from the Treehouse, since they're confirmed to come to E3 (Hopefully Dragon Quest, but I won't get my hopes up...) And I feel like they'll end off with Zelda U. Of course, there could be more than this, and I could be wrong about some of these. I feel like a new Mario game and the VC/eShop information are given, while we all know that Smash and Zelda will be there. So, what do you all think? EDIT: Forgot Hyrule Warriors. Shulk 8,623 Posted May 3, 2014 Aren't they doing a direct again instead of an E3 presentation? Yeah, they recently confirmed that's their plan for this year, too. I personally prefer it that way, they're faster and more to-the-point. more like SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 SSB4 Zelda U SSB4 Bayonetta 2 SSB4 SSB4 So we're just going to ignore all the other great games that Nintendo makes, then? 1 Kingdomhe reacted to this

MasterRoxas13 340 Posted May 4, 2014 The new Mario is a 3D one, IGN reported that a month or two ago. I am thinking a new Metroid either for the 3DS or the Wii U A new Star Fox for the Wii U is also possible That Pokémon game that was hinted months ago might make a appearance Quality of life platform I think could be shown. I was going to do a topic about my predictions for Nintendo's E3 but you bet me too it.

If it is, I'll be really excited, since I love those types of games. A new Metroid could be interesting, and with Retro Studios making a new game for Wii U, that sounds pretty likely. After all, Metroid Prime is pretty much what made them famous. I'd really like to see a new Star Fox game, especially if it's not like that DS one. I wasn't a big fan of that one. I really hope we see it. Any sort of Pokemon news would be fine by me. It's possible. I'm kind of curious what that's supposed to be about. Sorry. Green Sparrow 795 Posted May 4, 2014 Let's see...-I definitely think Smash Bros. will be their main game. They'll have a release date for the 3DS version for this summer, but I don't think we'll get anything specific for the WiiU version, though there will be plenty of gameplay.-ZeldaU will be shown, but more towards the end, and probably not that much. I hope I'm wrong, but I keep getting vibes from them that it's not quite ready to be revealed to the world just yet.-Maybe a Metroid teaser revealed (equivalent to the initial ZeldaU teaser), but nothing more.-I'm not sure about Quality of Life. If it has to do with gaming then maybe a bit will be covered but if not, I don't think E3 is the best place to discuss it.-Sonic Boom more than likely.I just recently became a Nintendo fanboy, so that's all I've got for now lol super excited though! Can't wait!!! 1 Shulk reacted to this

tlozbj 74 Posted May 4, 2014 Aren't they doing a direct again instead of an E3 presentation? It still is pretty much the same thing, they still are having a presentation at E3, they simply aren't doing a live conference. Which at the end of everything is not that important, since either way, fans would still end up seeing a stream of it, or see the news on gaming sites. The game has been ready for reveal since E3 2013, they were also going to show it at Comic-Con on New York, but they decided against it, so that it wouldn't take the spotlight from ALBW and WWHD. Setrex 1,031 Posted May 5, 2014 It'll probably be more of games we know about, a few titles that are confirmed to show up, a few GBA/DS titles for Wii U & a few of Nintendo's great surprise announcements. I'd like to see N64 and GameCube games be shown for the Wii U VC. SNES games for 3DS Virtual Console GBA games for Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles DS games for Wii U Virtual Console and digitally for 3DS GameCube games for Wii U Virtual Console Releasing DS games digitally for 3DS is about as likely as Wii games being released digitally for the Wii U. No point when the system is backwards compatible already.

Setrex 1,031 Posted May 5, 2014 What about all the discontinued DS games? I don't think there is any point in putting DS games on the 3DS VC just because a few games here and there have been discontinued. You can still buy DS games if you go online or to a shop that sells games. Sometimes you might be lucky finding new copies or maybe it's just all used copies but they still exist. At least DS games make sense for the Wii U given you can't natively play games on the system. I guess we'll see though, Nintendo might announce it or they might not. At this point I think 3DS owners have more of a chance of getting GBA games on the VC.

But you're right, Nintendo doesn't seem to care about the 3DS' Virtual Console.
