Eliza just stared down at Evany's body. Within a moment, she collapsed onto her knees, keeping a blank expression.

Meanwhile, in an unknown realm, Evany's soul was floating. "Where... am I...?" he murmured.

"Keehee, welcome to the afterlife," something spoke out.

"Scarecrow?" Evany asked. "What's going on?"

"Well, long story short, you're dead," Scarecrow's voice replied. "However, something is wrong with the process."

"I figured," Evany said. "The souls won't completely die. Therefore, they come back, half human, half Folk."

"And you want to take this advantage to fix it?" Scarecrow asked.

After a moment, Evany replied, "Yes."

"Keeheehee," Scarecrow laughed, "even if you do, you're still dead."

"I know..."

Raiden looked over at Eliza, frowning. "Hey... He might come back. Don't shut down, idiot- think about what'll happen to you if you're like that and Luke comes back."

Eliza clenched her fist. "I swear, if he shows his face again... I'll kill him."

"Keehee, have fun with your half-life..." Scarecrow said as Evany faded into unconscious.

Almost like from a bad horror movie, Evany's body dissolved into the ground in front of Eliza's and Raiden's eyes. It didn't disappear. More or less, it transported to the HellRealm, where Evany had come to.

Raiden dropped his gaze. "Luke will thrash you if that happens." His eyes, trained on Evany to avoid looking at Eliza, made it all too easy for him to see what was happening. Covering his mouth with one hand and scrambling backwards, he made a muffled cry of surprise, eyes wide and face paling.

Eliza just stared in horror where his body used to be. She was as still as a frozen-over hell. So many thoughts and emotions ran through her mind. After a minute or two, she simply stood up and headed for the portal.

Evany sat up, rubbing his head. "Ugh... what happened...?" he asked himself, trying to recall what happened.

Raiden didn't try and stop her, but after crawling around and finding his other dagger, he stood up and walked up to the portal, squinting into it the best he could, until curiosity got the better of him. He hadn't really been anywhere but home in months, after all- so he stepped through.

Instantly nearly stumbling back through the portal, he coughed hard, blinking tears out of his eyes- he'd forgotten the fumes and the dust in the real world. Blinking tears out of his eyes, he urged himself to get a grip and tried to stop coughing.

As Eliza walked, she didn't mind the spirits that greeted her from the pub. She walked straight towards the door to her little house. As she reached for the doorknob, a meow stopped her. She looked down to see a black cat, purring against her leg. She gave it a solemn look. "Ruru..." she said as she bent down, petting the cat. As she held the cat in her arms, she began to realize how heavier gravity was in the real world-- a lot. Clutching the cat to her chest, she began crying.

"Let's see..." Evany tried to recall. "... I was going to my post... I got into a fight.... Ah, yes, then I got stabbed, dying instantly. Now, I have to figure out what is wrong with the Netherworld so the balance can be restored." He stood up.

Name: Will (I'm too lazy to think of a last name!)

Age: 16

Side: Good guys

Appearance:

Posted Image

(Ichi~! :'D /shot'd)

Bio: A messenger, albeit barely; he refuses to follow their usual summons-not-weapons-no-killing way. Completely driven on getting rid of the imbalance, and will do anything to keep the worlds safe. Has no real morals, and doesn't hold back. A bit of a conundrum, as he is rude and antisocial but craves company.

Other: Tends to tie his hair back. :'D

(( Approval! 8'D ))

After sitting on the porch, crying for several minutes, Eliza stood up and went in the door, taking Ruru with her.

After realizing which realm he was in, Evany said to himself, "I should head back to the Faery Realm..." With that, he approached a nearby portal which led him to the realm.

Completely and utterly UNinvited, and not waiting for it to be otherwise, Will had climbed in through the window of her house to wait for her when he saw her outside on the porch.

"So, Evany kicked the bucket, huh?" he said, not looking the slightest bit awkward or embarrased at, you know, sneaking into her place without telling her.

Despite her current mood, Eliza had jumped when Will spoke up. "W-when did you get in here?!" she questioned.

Ruru continued to stay oblivious, purring in her arms.

"About five minutes ago, when I heard what happened."

He leant against the wall, expression a little too smug, given the circumstances.

"You really should lock your windows."

"So, since you're the only witness around here... what happened to Evany? I tried to go for his body when I found out, but it wasn't there."

"Why must you ask me?" Eliza questioned as she sat down at a chair, petting Ruru. "You're certainly hearing rumors, why don't you go ask whoever you heard it from?"

"Because I heard it from a spirit. In the pub, no less. I didn't really expect to get anything other than the fact he was dead from any of them- they're so whiny, I just can't stand more than ten minutes in their proximity." Will wasn't looking at her as he spoke, instead glancing around the room, mildly interested. "Oh, and, of course, you didn't lock the window properly. Which is pretty basic self-preservation."

Eliza snapped. "My... My best friend was murdered before my eyes, and you want to lecture me on how to lock my window?! What ever gave you the right?!" She began leaking tears.

"Oh, get a grip. We're messengers. Mistakes happen, people die, blah blah blah. But we can't let other people's screwups distract us, or we'll just all go down. It's war out there- so stop crying."
