If you could get rid of any KH charcters from the games...

For me, it would be Roxas and Xion. The two of them just bug me. I don't HATE them. They just get on my nerves and a lot of what they add to the story seems pointless to me.

I honestly can't think of any character that can be taken out with nothing changed.  Gripe all you want, but everyone connects to someone in some way and everyone influenced the plot, or gave more info to the setting.

I didn't say anything about whether or not they were good characters, or if they were handled well.  I was saying that completely taking them out of the picture wouldn't be as seamless as people expect--because this thread really is turning into "Get rid of this character because they didn't appeal to me."

But Xaon never implied or said anything about how they affect the story either . He just said if you could get rid of them .Nomura has been writing this story by the seat of his pants and there are many retcons so if he wanted to 'get rid 'of anyone he could . As for people disliking characters- that will never change bc people like/ dislike different things so not everything will appeal to everyone the same way .Take it with a grain of salt.

...Anyway, I understand what you mean. He is practically just a stereotypical villain, and very uninteresting as a character since he really doesn't have a personality, his only purpose is 'to be a villain'. But he is fun to fight, so that's why I still like him.

 

I wouldn't actually erase him, but I don't like DiZ. I don't hate him, but he just gets on my nerves. But he is actually (very) important for the plot and it wouldn't work without him. So I just hope they aren't going to bring him back (which they probably are going to do since no one ever dies in KH).

Can't get rid of anyone without taking a piece of the story with it.

Vanitas is an empty character. We can do without him. 

Xion is not really necessary. I was so angry. I thought Days would be about Roxas and Axel's relationship not Xion.

Sometimes I feel as if they dropped the ball on Kairi. I hope they make her in KH3 like Serah. Toriyama did Serah's character well. She was important but not there all the time. FFXIII-2 she was the center.

honestly every character has some type of importance to the series, big or small. Not all of them are developed the best a lot of them could use some touch ups but to take them out of the game all together would change the story line quite a bit. (for example if Xion wasn't their, Roxas would have just did his everyday missions and would have never met twilight town Roxas, and then Sora would have had to wake up some other way. Also, yeah not all of the organization members have a huge part but I guess some of them are just there for just the fact they can, same with some of the ff characters) But if I had to pick I would say the characters from the world ends with you, it was just kind of random to bring them in, they could have just made new characters all together but to bring them in KH probably promoted them so that why they did that rather than make new one.
