Accel World: Burst Link (RP signups)

In the past, there were rumors about a game known as Brain Burst. Brain Burst used the Neuro Linker, a personal computer which connected to the user's brain, in order to be installed. The program could only be given to someone directly through a person who already had the program installed. Brain Burst allowed players to step into a virtual replica of their own world, seeming to slow down time. This was known as a Burst Link. This allowed them to gain various advantages in their world, such as giving them time to think out a strategy. However, this was not without a limit. Brain Burst users used up one Burst Point each time that they would do a Burst Link. In order to gain points, they would have to play the game that Brain Burst contained. The game was essentially a fighter, taking characters to a random stage, and giving them specific attacks. Winning would give players points, while losing would take points. The game was ruled by various kings, who were the first players to reach level 9. They were told that upon reaching level 10, they could meet the creator of the game...

 

The game was eventually lost to time, and faded out of memory for most. Now, 50 years later, someone recreated the program, and began to distribute it. Due to limitations with the software, only those who were given the Neuro Linker 2.0 upon birth are able to play the game, similarly to the original game with the original Neuro Linker. This means that the oldest players are 19. There are 6 kings: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, and Pink. The seven kings share reign over the world of Brain Burst 2.0, and hold various events, such as tournaments for lower leveled players. Similarly to the original Brain Burst, the kings are all players who have reached level 9. In order to reach level 10, a level 9 player must defeat three level 9 players. In order to avoid an uproar, the six kings decided to keep the power between each other. However, it's only a matter of time before one of them decides to revolt... Will you play?

 

So... Yeah. I decided to do a roleplay for Accel World. It might not be the best idea, considering that I'm only four episodes in (I blame Neon Alley taking ages to upload the dubs -_- I'll probably start using other means if they take too long), but I get the basic gist of the story. In fact, I set this RP 50 years in the future in order to avoid screwing up the Accel World canon. So, anyway... Yeah. That's basically it. On to the rules!

 

Rules:

1. No godmodding. This includes killing other people's characters, or taking control of them for any reason (Unless they give you permission, and let me know that they're fine with it. That will be a rare case, though).

2. Two characters per person, but one would be preferred.

3. The RP is rated PG-13, in all aspects (Swearing, romance, etc.)

4. If you'd like to battle someone (Unless it's some event for the RP, like a tournament), please ask them in PM or on this thread beforehand. Random attacks will not be tolerated.

5. All basic KH13 RP rules apply.

Gender: Female

Appearance: Kurenai has long red hair, reaching down to around her waist. She typically wears her school uniform, which consists of a blue sweater, red tie, and black skirt, with long, white socks and black shoes.

In-game name: Cyan Swan

In-game appearance: Cyan Swan wears blue armor, with a fairly scrawny build. The armor appears worn and rusted from years of combat.

Abilities: Punch, kick, short-distance teleportation (This allows her to teleport out of the way of an opponent's attack, but has a very short range, and takes a while to recharge.)

Level: 5

VR Appearance: In the virtual world, Kurenai has the same build, face, and hairstyle that she does in the real world. However, she wears a red tank top, with blue shorts. She is also notably faster within this world, as shown in various games.

Personality: Kurenai isn't overly talkative, and tends to keep to herself. However, she is very friendly, and always willing to help people out. In-game as Cyan Swan, she is known for taking in new players and training them, putting her years of combat experience to use. She is a bit secretive, as well.

Bio: For most of her childhood, Kurenai was constantly targeted by bullies. At the age of 10, someone who helped protect her told her about Brain Burst. Kurenai accepted the program from him, and used it to beat the bullies at their own games. When she was 11, the bullies had stopped targeting her. She decided to use her new power for good, and help new players. She says that she rose through the ranks of the game, and passed on her combat skills to new players. She commonly focused on hand-to-hand combat. She is now looking for a new candidate to invite to the game...

In-game appearance: Clothes are replaced with dark green armor covering entire body with helmet resembling that of a ninja's mask.

 

Abilities: Punch, Kick, Iron Wall (armor hardens immensely, allowing Hayate to withstand common attacks for a limited amount of time)

 

Level: 4

 

VR Appearance: A black panther with piercing black eyes.

 

Personality: At a young age, he was meek and had a hard time speaking his mind and standing up for himself. Presently, he is normally calm, repressed, stoic and doesn't like to mince words with people. Has a habit of only speaking when he feels he needs to speak. Is a little pompous when his ego is being challenged

 

Bio: The youngest of three other brothers, Hayate was the "black sheep" of his siblings; his brothers were all bigger, stronger, and smarter than him and they all ganged up on him as kids, pushing him around and making him feel weak. By the time his brothers became adults, he had used the hardships they had caused him to mold himself into a more independent and successful person by the time he reached high school; he is a top student, well liked among his peers (especially female) and teachers, and his martial art skills (which he started to develop around the time his brothers left home) keep his male classmates either afraid or jealous of him. Having heard about Brain Burst from one of his classmates, he accepted the program in order to further prove his new found independence, and is in search of new challengers to test his skill.

Abilities: Cut, Shoot, SA (Special Ability): Cyclone Slash ((Requires two hands) When he cuts the air causing it to go in a straight line towards his opponent.)

VR Appearance: Has white hair with a long gray scarf, wearing and orange short sleeve shirt, gray sweat pants, and white socks with black shoes.

Personality: Kind, Calm, Not Afraid, Protector

Bio: As a kid he was always looking for people to help and be friends with, as he made friends he had the feeling that non of his friends were truly friends. Whenever he wanted to hang out with them they always had the same excuse, soon after he became silent and never talked to anyone... He would always try to help people but when he would try the other person would push him away. He soon gave up on talking with anyone, and started caring more about video games then anything else. When he became a freshman in high school for the first time in a long time a person walked up to him and began talking to him, asking about gaming and if he wanted to play a game that he has never played before. He accepted and learned about Brain Burst. After that he became open to others again, making friends and felt like everything was how he wanted it to be.
