Shulk 8,623 Posted April 22, 2014 I've officially caught all 454 Pokemon in the Kalos Dex of Pokemon X/Y! It took hours of training, breeding, trading, and catching, but it's all worth it in the end! The last Pokemon I got was Weavile. Also, because I know someone's going to ask about the crowns, it only shows a crown if they were all caught within the Kalos region. Some were transferred/traded to me by people who transferred. I could get the crowns if I wanted, but I'm too lazy to go for that at the moment. That, and I'm focused on my next goal: Completing the National Dex. 17 Agucsoccer, Reyn, Xiro and 14 others reacted to this

It takes forever regardless of how much Pokemon you've played. ._. I found a few useful guides online for Pokemon locations, although grinding's the majority of it. : *slowly begins clapping* he caught em' all I didn't think it was possible but he caught em' all There are still around 150 left for the National Dex... Those come later (When I finally pay for Bank ).
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted April 22, 2014 Congrats! If you haven't, take and show Professor Sycamore the three Kalos Dexs. He'll give you an Oval Charm, which makes eggs appear more often, making any breeding needed for the National Dex a much faster process. I filled my Kalos dex while doing the National, so I ended up getting both charms at the same time. Just make sure to take breaks, as filling your National Dex out is a long and irritating process. Also, just in case you dunno, all 13 event legends aren't necessary for completing the National Pokedex. Basically, you dun need: Mew Celebi Deoxys Jirachi Shaymin Manaphy Phione Darkrai Arceus Victini Keldeo Meloetta Genesect

Thanks for checking, though. I figured it'd be easier to just go for the Kalos Dex first so I'd have a better starting point (That, and I figured the Oval Charm would be helpful to get earlier on). 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted April 22, 2014 Actually, according to bulbapedia Phione is necessary to complete the national Dex in gen VI. They would be wrong then. To get Phione you've got to breed Manaphy, and to get Manaphy, you've gotta do its event. Therefore, Phione is an event legend and isn't required. Without event legends, the Pokedex number for completion is 705, with Phione it'd be 706. You only need 705.

It'd be hard to explain how one can obtain the Shiny Charm with their Pokedex at 705 then. If Phione's required it'd mean you'd need 706. It seems the video I've seen where the guy had 705 is gone...completely gone. Might as well go with 706 then. Edited April 22, 2014 by Vexoria
