Can someone tell me how come Master Eraqus keyblade is in the middle of Destiny Islands

Can someone tell me how come Master Eraqus keyblade is in the middle of Destiny Islands

It was just a simple promo trailer, and likely means noting

Kingdom Hearts is alot of suprises so maybe Aqua and Ansem The Wise got out

I think in an interview Nomura already confirmed that isn't canon, but instead symbolic

 

Also Destiny Islands and the Realm of Darkness are connected- Kairi's letter reached the Realm of Darkness from Destiny Islands while Sora and Riku reached Destiny Islands from the Realm of Darkness

 

It would make sense that if Aqua, for whatever reason, put Eraqus' Keyblade into the water from there it would eventually end up on Destiny Islands

It doesn't really matter at this point as the game isn't out yet. It's either representative of something that's going to happen in Kingdom Hearts III, or it has absolutely nothing to do with the story and is just being used for a darn awesome promotional trailer. Either way, I don't think it's something worth worrying over.

To me watching that scene told me that Sora is ready to face his destiny and save his friends who are trapped in the darkness.

Well, as many have said above me, Master Eraqus' Keyblade is meant to be symbolic in the trailer, and remember that it is a teaser trailer, so odds are we won't see what we saw in the trailer in the final product.  But anything is possible!

Nomura: In this stage of testing he can transform it. By the way, in the trailer, Sora picks up the Keyblade belonging to Master Eraqus that Aqua had. We put that together in order to remind you of the story of KHIII, as this time we weren't able to prepare a scene that would show you a portion of the drama.
