Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem (RP sign up/main discussions thread)

Many eons ago, wars covered the Earth. Country's fought to control one-another, nearly ending in a complete nuclear fallout. After the world became completely habitable again on the surface, the world leaders banded together based on their beliefs and formed two completely different country unions, and forced all who did not wish to join on into a third, neutral area for both , respectively named The November Union, made up of North and South America with Japan as a satellite nation, as well as the United Kingdom and Australia, The Navarre Conglomerate, which is made up of the most of the rest of the Eurasian Continent, and the Democratic Republic of Galia, which was made up of the entirety of Africa, and a few other smaller places, like Madagascar, which has no say in the world's control. In each union, the countries and states within them became like city-states in the union as well.

 

Unable to find a safe solution for control of the world between the NU and the NC, peacetalks failing and rage mounting again, the two groups who strive for power turned to the Mobile Suit, or the Gundam: a mecha armed to the teeth with weapons and piloted by a single fighter or small crew of three at max, they called the best of both side's fighters and sent them into a tournament. The prize: Control of the world for their side. The arena: Galia after they were pressured into it by both sides.. After all was said and done, the first victory went to the Conglomerate, but as the cheering and fighting brought the nations peace and calm between the two, the tournament continued every four years, and the prize of control went to the winning side, as it had before. Now, may millions of years have past, and the tournament still goes on strong. Space Colonies have been created, and a seeming peace has gone on for years, though, talk of another war like the Valentine Conflict, what they called the great war, has slowly began to seep into the cracks of the country's. The Conglomerate is the current one in control, as they had one the last tournament.

 

Rules/things to know:

You do not need prior experience in mechas to join, just understand what a mecha is and you should be fine.

General KH13, RP section, and general RP rules apply. We all know what is right or wrong, it's only common sense.

This RP is a bit higher on the maturity level, as like in normal Gundam, there will be heavy violence, and possibly very gore-y scenes, so be prepared for that. I rate it at PG15, but we're keeping romance pretty PG13 all around. I'm cool with extended periods of love-based scenes, just don't be pulling any form of sexual content (I.E. actually having a scene where characters are in bed with each-other) and everything will be fine (if you have to ask yourself "Would I get in trouble for this?" then you probably will, so think things through). Allusions to sexual content can be made, but make them subtle and almost invisible if you do them. If I find something goes too far, I will provide a warning, then a kick if it happens again.

Oathkeeper136 is my RP co-host, and as such can approve characters and run the story in my absence. After sign-ups close, it's all done.

Biography(Opt): Born in the November Union, Alexis was an orphan for most of her life. Discriminated and picked on for being lesbian, she attempted suicide three times before ultimately running away from home. The military snatched her up for advanced tests into Mobile Suits, using her vulnerability to mold and manipulate her. Showing great strength and a surprising force of will, once accepted, Alexis was one of the top pilots for the November Union. Veteran their Gundam Academy (the slang term, as the title was long and prestigious and obnoxious), Alexis no longer was picked on for her sexuality nor her regulation-breaking light pink hair. Thrown into a tournament on graduation day, she came out on top, and was chosen to be the pilot of the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Seraphim, equipped with a devastating system known as ZERO.

Biography(Opt): Born on Ahkraziel, she always got in trouble due to her mechanical mind. Despite her slightly shy exterior, she turned outgoing the moment her wings were on. Flying really really really fast, Serena soon was grounded by Gallia (forcefully) and as they instituted harsher laws, she was driven away from her home after her mother passed.

Falling in with a prostitution ring when she was sixteen, she nearly died on her first night from a serial killer when salvation came in the form of Trinity. But in the end, despite the Trinity agent having arrived, she saved herself (and him) when the murderer had gained the upper hand. Grabbing the agent's weapon, she gunned the killer down before dragging the agent to safety.

 

Taking her into their midst, Trinity didn't need long winded speeches. All they asked was for her to become their warrior, to fight against a rising threat.

 

She then became the pilot of the ORB - 1 Akatsuki, she entered the tournament under the banner of Canada (because no one expects the Canadian inquisition). She ended up in a sort of friendly rivalry with one of the other November Union Champions, Alexis Hunter from America.

Trinity: like The Terminal from Gundam Seed, Trinity works behind the scenesto take down Gallia. Unable to gonpublic due to lack ofnproof and political lackings, Trinity can only use its resources in indirect ways.

The Earth Preservation Society: a group of fanatics who are small, they hate space colonies and colonization, believing humans can only inhabit Earth. Mostly ignored, they have gotten bigger recent times, and the source of their funding remains a secret.

Luna's Guardians: A group of activists trying to fight for the freedom of the moon from Gallia, NG is fighting a losing battle that TEPS has been slowly beating back in the public eye. The voice of outernspace is slowly being broken.

Corinthos: a terrorist organization, they hate all three nations. Internationally hunted, Corinthos has been the perpetrators of bombings, mass killings, and shuttle desteuctions from November to Navarre. They are active from Luna to the farthest colony, and are still killing despite the tournaments.

 

 

That way you can have some secret agendas and fun stuff. But please talk to me about Trinity, or Crona about anything else; anything you could do with them could break whats been set, so just go better safe then sorry
