Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted April 16, 2014 http://www.standard.net.au/story/2219242/i-just-dont-care-texting-p-plate-driver-hits-cyclist/ While browsing the wonderful world of CNET.com and spotted this article, and my reaction? UNBELIEVABLE! Sure we get texting and driving accidents which can go from mild to deadly, but this one in particular, infuriated me so much! A woman was texting and driving and hits the cyclist, calls emergency number, and DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE. Did not help the cyclist out, who is suffering with many injuries included Spinal fracture, which could've nearly paralyzed him! oh oh oh, and guess what ticked me off? The driver did not give a *BLEEP* Yeah, she admitted she didn't care, she said her car was expensive, and complains that she has to shell out money to fix it, and is mad at the cyclist for hitting the side of the car... WHAT A *BLEEP-BLEEP*! She was using the phone 44 times, sending and receiving messages 22 times, while on a trip to the market and back, and then hits the cyclist while texting, even though she claimed she wasn't on the phone, they were able to prove her wrong. They took her license and banned her for? Nine months!? Should have banned her from driving for year or two! Heck, she was not even using a full driver license, but a provisional license! Ugh, scum like her sickens me. She just lowered my faith in humanity so *BLEEP* low, that I had to create a new level. This is just wrong. I never read anything so terrible to the point where I need to rant it all out. I just want to get it all out, I'm sorry if I made anyone mad, and if mods want to, they can move it to the random thread or delete the topic. I also noticed that this happened in Australia, I have nothing against Australia, its just that one... particular woman that only cares about herself that ticked me off to where I want to rant. If you want, state your opinion. I'm just gonna hope the new Naruto chapter calms me down a little more. 11 Katara, Omega Ness, tlrpttmn and 8 others reacted to this
Javelin434 3,164 Posted April 16, 2014 People think they can multi-task. They can't. People need to be taught driving discipline. I keep my phone on my lap, but when I get a text, I pull over to the side of the road before answering. Calls, I can handle, but texts are something else. 2 Amber Cole and Kittenz reacted to this

MasterXemnas 2,285 Posted April 16, 2014 Fool. It wasn't the texting that got her in a crash. It was her attitude. 5 Reyn, Neptune Vasilias, Kaneki Ken and 2 others reacted to this
Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted April 16, 2014 Fool. It wasn't the texting that got her in a crash. It was her attitude. Exactly, during my ranting statement, I forgotten to mention that. You're correct on this Her attitude was unacceptable. In a situation where I need to text, I would just pull over to a parking lot, and text, or just wait till I get to a destination. A text can wait.
CROW 115 Posted April 16, 2014 They took her license and banned her for? Nine months!? Should have banned her from driving for year or two! Heck, she was not even using a full driver license, but a provisional license! Why not forever?.. Fool. It wasn't the texting that got her in a crash. It was her attitude. It was both. I really hate irresponsible and stupid scum. Let's be serious, nobody can pull off texting/calling while driving and if you get away without accident you're not cool or talented, you're just LUCKY. And if I'm honest, I don't give a shit if someone who texts and drives dies in an accident. The people I feel sorry for are the innocent victims who get involved and, in the worst case, killed in such accidents caused by idiots. In my opinion scum like that deserves a bit worse than just losing their license or paying some money. 1 Katara reacted to this

Caxkj 481 Posted April 16, 2014 I suppose "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" would be a fitting thing to say here. But then I would be overusing it.

Katara 23 Posted April 16, 2014 (edited) The world we live in today......That girl needs her license to be evicted for at least two years! This is a me, me world, and I'm sick of it. We need to love, care, and respect one another. Despite who did what. That poor man, he must be in so much pain. Fierce Deity Link 926 Posted April 16, 2014 This is rather small compared to most issues in this world, but still, this girl's a jerk. Kinda like my neighbors.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted April 16, 2014 This really isn't even all that shocking at this point. There should be a mandatory device installed in everyone's car that disables your phone while the car is in motion. TBH I'm surprised such a thing doesn't exist yet. 1 Lalalablah reacted to this

TBH I'm surprised such a thing doesn't exist yet.I like that idea, my mom mentioned something along the lines of that as well. I mean of course in times of emergency there should be a way to use your phone while you can't stop (like if you need to call 911, who knows).
