The Lion King II, 1½ and Six New Adventures in Kingdom Hearts III

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking that among others franchises that will be appearing again in Kingdom Hearts III, The Lion King franchise could be one of those. Not to mention that Nomura loves lions so it could be more than possible xD Anyway, if it will be back, the events that would be included in Kingdom Hearts III are those of "The Lion King II" since we had the events of the first one in Kingdom Hearts II, "The Lion King 1½" and maybe the plotline of "The Lion King Six New Adventures" if reputed canon :D What you guys think? Sounds good and possible for ya? :D

I think I read somewhere that Nomura doesn't want to do movie sequels, which I suppose is fine.  The sequels aren't all well-regarded, anyway.

Really? That's too bad though! There are tons of sequels that would fit perfectly in Kingdom Hearts III :

Yea but maybe he meant he don't want to do it in Kingdom Hearts III xD

If all of the new Disney movies can't fit into KH3 I guess they might as well do sequels to older Disney movies. Not saying it's going to happen, but it's possible. :)

Actually this is the first time I hear about this thing that Nomura doesn't want to include sequels, I stick with the fact that it would be a BIG loss and frankly I think this decision doesn't have any sense unless there is a specific explanation :D

Same here. I never heard Nomura say that before. I hope that Nomura talks more about what kind of worlds he wants to put in KH3 in e3.

The Loin King II, if i'm not mistaken, takes place a few years later right? And 11/2 takes place in the middle of the events of KHII. Sora is only going to be either sixteen still like DDD, or seventeen. I don't think that's enough time because I doubt the daughter cub is only a year old

Maybe they can use timetravel like they did in DDD right? I'm not sure if i'm 100% confident with this because in the dream realm you can only travel though time without their body. :(

I just wanted to add that I personally hope that the Loin King makes a return, because it is my favorite world, running around and fighting as Lion Sora was soo much fun, however It might make an appearance in the Next saga, which should be a few years later...

I haven't played DDD yet, however my understanding is that the whole of DDD is in a dream right? So it wouldn't really count.

Actually it's about the Realm of Sleep and the story does count xD

This may be a spoiler but I wonder how Xehanort time traveled especially Young Xehanort, That's why I think that time travel  could possibly be in the real world in the KH series.

I understand that it's an important part of the story, I just meant that it's a dream world... none of it happened for real, ya know?

I think you'll see why when you finish the whole game.

1½ is a parallel story and both a prequel and a midquel so it could be included as a flashback and "The Lion King II" is set soon after the first one, since Lions' growth is rather different than human's xD

A fair point but how would "a flashback" work?

AH, fair enough. However I still think that they'll save the Lion King II, until the next saga.

Well maybe when there will be needs to explain things that happened in the past, it's not that much uncommon to include a flashback in a Videogame xD

Spoiler Alert: I noticed that some of the worlds in DDD are flashbacks like pranksters paradise. It's set before KH1 starts.

Dude I guess the time of the spoiler alerts is long finished xD And that's because Sora and Riku traveled back in time in order to access the Realm of Sleep and the events of the parallel sleeping version of the worlds are set in the past

But he technically did Return of Jafar in KH2(a sequel to the original Aladdin) although a very butchered version of the movie
