The 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses in a nutshell

Recommended Posts

I'm sticking with my theory that the lights don't have to be keyblade wielders. (Even though I'm probably wrong...)

And so do the darknesses, they don't need to have keyblades, but ever since Birth by Sleep they've been giving those keyblades like candy

Even though Kairi getting it by accident just by touching it seems a bit ridiculous, the fact she is a pure princess of light probably played into the keyblade allowing it to happen.  Otherwise when Jack took Sora's he should accidentally have done it too.

I don't mind there being multiple keyblade wielders (Axel's is the only one that's really fanservice and nothing else, and just to shock people at the end of DDD like it was a comedy show) since there was a keyblade war, I doubt it could have been fought if there were only a handful of wielders so it makes sense that Sora isn't a unique little butterfly and the only wielder, he's merely unique by the fact the Keyblade chose him.  Then again so did Mickey's.

That's the point of the keyblade war,it was devestating to the point only  a few set of wielders can wield it after the war....not f***ing 20 WIELDERS,Some of them I can't even imagine having a keyblade to begin with.

As of Kairi,in that case Cindrella,Snow White,Aurora,Jasmine,Alice and Belle can wield keyblades too

I guess I would have more annoyance if keyblades were the only weapon in the series, but they're not.  I like all the characters with their weapons and have no problem with it.  And yes, if the other Princesses could inherit the keyblade too then they all could learn to defend themselves which is more of a bonus.

Yeah it's not the only weapon but now it's required that everybody uses it....why?

Nothing says that all of the 7 lights and 13 darknesses are required to have a keyblade yet they want Xehanort to clone himself into them so they can wield one themselves.....AxelLea is more badass with his Chakrams and he looked really stupid with the keyblade.

The keyblade's uniqueness as a weapon of legends has been quite reduced and undermined....this is like taking the legendary one of a kind Excalibur sword and then suddenly an entire army can wield it instead of the chosen one

if the number of wielders were few that would've been fine....BUT OVER TWENTY??

That just means getting a keyblade is now more easier than ever

But the point is the keyblade wasn't just a unique weapon.  It's representation of Sora being the Chosen one, i.e. the only one to wield it is misguided in the first game, and corrected later when you see others with it.  He was chosen by the Keyblade, but he's not the only one.  Axel's I think was ridiculous cause his keyblade did look stupid and he didn't need it, I personally have no problem with the others but that's personal opinion I guess.  Agree to disagree.

Next thing you know Chip and Dale will have their own nut-themed Keyblades...

What I get from this is: KH is perfect we should never criticize it

Not really.  I've criticized it plenty, i.e. things I've said in the past the graphics from KH3 are too orange and too airbrushed, they should have redid the lines from KH1 in the remaster where they're all saying Sora's a keyblade master, considering they gave that title meaning later rather than it just being the one who wields, the lip syncing is off, Axel's keyblade was fanservice and the actual shape of it looks off and unnatural,  death has become meaningless to the point where if someone dies you feel nothing and just wonder when they'll pop up again, Xion's addition to Days took away time from the lives of the organization members, the ones that people actually wanted a game to find out more about rather than just focusing on Roxas, Axel and Xion, the gameplay in DDD in each world was too short, just to name a few; I'm just not bothered by multiple characters having keyblades, everyone bar Axel has logical reason to, Kairi completing Riku and Sora's trio, TAV having the right as they trained with it, etc  Axel's is the only one that was purely fanservice and unnecessary as his weapons and himself were badass enough without needing to throw a keyblade in.

Just because I don't share your opinion doesn't mean I think it's perfect.

Sorry I misunderstood you

It's just......that's the impression I get whenever I make a thread criticizing a certain aspects in Nomura's writing....people either flip out and write me an essay about how wrong I'm for doing so or calling me a bloodthirst because I wanted death to have a meaning in the KH series
