KOTOR HD Remake Currently In Development

Recommended Posts

I would have thought the PC version would already be in HD.

I'm all for it!

I have a question, 'Why should I give a care? I don't care much for Star Wars.'

That sounds pretty impressive Aang. :)

Sounds great. Always loved KOTOR and KOTOR II, but unfortunately, my current PC can't play either of them.

If you end up doing KOTOR 2 will you add in the restored content mod?

You know, this is just like a certain team of passionate gamers who remade the first Half Life game, and it took them a while to do so, and they ended up with success.  I had heard about KOTOR, it's from Bioware, one of the top names in Western RPG's, and well, I've never got to play it, but I  hope to do so one day!  I hope I could get to play it on my PS3 if possible!  I really hope you succeed in making this Remaster, because now I'm looking forward for you guys to be interviewed by Game Informer about how you went about making this remaster, and when I read the article in the near future, I'll be like: "Heck yes, I know this guy!" Good luck my brother! :)

Hey everybody!

If you're interested, we have a small website available here:http://kotorremaster.webs.com/

There you can learn about the game, see videos, screenshots, sign up for alpha, and more.

Cheers,

-Aang

KOTOR is a great game, one of the best I've ever played. I actually just finished it again a few days ago, that's actually what brought me to this thread. After finishing it I was looking around to see if anyone was planning on making an updated version of it and this is what I found. For anyone that doesn't think it'll work right now, I just played it on my Win7 machine at 1920x1200. There are a few mods that need to be installed but after doing so it plays great. I've played through it at least 5-6 times and I've finished KOTOR 2 maybe 4-5 times, both are great games. I'm looking forward to the time this is finished and I'd like to thank the developers for the work they've put into it. It's a testament to the quality of this game that it's still talked about and enjoyed more than a decade after its release.

So you are telling me that it is basically the Star Wars version of Infamous?

KOTOR came first, infamous would be the non star wars version of KOTOR.

KOTOR is tabletop style turn based gameplay, infamous is not like KOTOR at all.

You might as well have asked; "So you are telling me that it is basically the Star Wars version of Fallout NV?"

It's essentially like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but with a Star Wars skin. This of course is because Bioware made all of these games. If you aren't one for Star Wars then it won't probably appeal to you in the slightest but it is a solid RPG and is arguably one of the best games ever made.
