The case for and agains KH3 on the Wii U

Should KH3 be on Wii U?  Here are what I think are some arguements on both sides (Though I am biased for it being on Wii U)

 

For:

The Disney aspect of Kingdom Hearts seems to be right at home on Nintendo consoles.

Though no number titles has appeared on Nintendo consoles, 3 portable KH games were made for Nintendo portable systems since Sony decided to start making portable consoles.

KH3 is already confirmed to be going multiplatform, with it appearing on both the Xbox One and PS4.

Wii U has outpaced PS4 in sales in Japan, in terms of number of consoles sold since the same period after console launch.

 

Against:

No main series non-remake Square game has appeared on a Nintendo console since the SNES games.  (Main series games from the Enix half of Square Enix has, but not the Square half)

Wii U is much less powerful than PS4 and Xbox One.

Porting may not be easy since the Wii U's architechture is so much different than the PS4 and Xbox One. (Though if the demand is perceived to be there, this is the weakest arguement against).

The Final Fanatasy half of Kingdom Hearts does not seem to fit Nintendo consoles.

 yea it should be on the Wii U the fanbase is the there but it is not going to happen. Square likes to jump around platforms with the KH series so maybe one day there will be a KH for the Wii U

You can't really get mad for different people asking the same question though ( not saying that because I am for a Wii U port). Not everybody sees the thousands of threads on this site.

KH3 on Wii U is doable

The Wii U is about as strong or almost as powerful as the PS4 and Xbone....though it uses a different architecture so idiots would just be comparing the numbers instead of researching on the differences between PowerPC and x86 Architecture

So the Wii U could possibly handle KH3

 

The real problem comes from the fact that the Wii U uses PowerPC Architecture and Square(as most devs) would be too lazy to make a Wii U version cuz it would be quite a hassle to port it over to the Wii U

Basically most devs this generation were prepared to develop new games using x86 Architecture instead of PowerPC Architecture...so Nintendo was really kind of punished for not following a trend

The Wii U being inferior hardware-wise to the PS4/Xbone is a complete and utter lie by devs...they just don't want to go through the hassle of porting stuff to the Wii U cuz it would really be hard considering how different the Architectures are...and I can sort of understand them

It's not going to happen. Square Enix aren't going to take all that time (delaying) downgrading the game so it can run on the Wii U for it's small user base.

 

There has not been a numbered FINAL FANTASY or Kingdom Hearts game released on a Nintendo console since FINAL FANTASY VI in 1994 for the SNES. And that will never change.

From what I've seen of KH3 it didn't look anything more amazing then the average PS3 game to me(from a technical perspective)....so the Wii U can possibly handle it(even if it's pushing the PS4/Xbone to it's limits...which I really,really doubt it from seeing the trailers)

The problem is that Square doesn't want to put the effort and money into a Wii U port when the Wii U has a terrible install base and is flopping

Who knows? If the Wii U sees a big surge in sales they might change their minds at the last moment and port it but it's unlikely

They don't have to downgrade the game at all...they just have to port it

The Wii U can handle KH3(especially KH3 who doesn't seem to push the limits of the PS4 at all) but Square won't port it cuz it would be a hassle considering the Wii U and PS4 use different architecture...and it would be a waste of money(literally...since the Wii U install base is pretty small)

 

No-one cares about Numbered FF Games anymore...nobody has since FF13...so no big loss there

SNES had the best FF Games anyways

Y'know what,it's not a big loss at all that KH3 isn't coming to Wii U,Xenoblade's sequel is coming and it's gonna be waaaay bigger than Kh3 while KH3's power will be mostly in cutscenes and plays the same as previous KH games

Kh3 could never come for the Wii U becauses it has a second screen thing. Square Enix doesn't want to do extra stuff for each console.

 

It doesn't matter that the Wii U is much less powerfull then Ps4 and Xone because the ps4 and the Xbox one aren't the same power one of them is less and the other is more powerfull.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't get enforced like it should . It's still a rule and should be followed . This should have a pinned thread on top so everyone can just argue on one thread and say what they want .
