Power Jusho 1,783 Posted March 26, 2014 I was thinking it would activate Attraction Commands or just Reaction Commands in general and you have to swipe it a certain direction or press it to activate it.
Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) I'm actually more curious about what they'll make the controller's speaker say. Almost every PS4 game I've played so far has used it, so KH3 will most likely use it too. Edited March 26, 2014 by Velvet Scarlatina
MasterRoxas13 340 Posted March 26, 2014 Maybe the touch pad on the PS4 will help players direct Donald's and Goofy's attacks. coordinated attacks are usually the best 1 Agucsoccer reacted to this

Velvet Scarlatina 607 Posted March 26, 2014 The PS4 controller has a speaker? like the Wii remote speaker Pretty much. Some games actually has the controller give you a short briefing of the mission you're about to do, or what task you complete, or when something has been updated in any data logs, stuff like that. It isn't too necessary, but it's cool nonetheless. 1 Britipinojeff reacted to this
Moochieh32 676 Posted March 26, 2014 You never know with Nomura. That man comes up with the most weirdest yet interesting things when it comes to battle systems. As for the touch pad, I think it'll be used for: a) QTEs? (During cutscenes or w/e) b) Directing your aim if they add an aim feature for magic attacks and or keyblade throwing c) Activating a Command Style / Drive Form
NO_HEART_XIII 312 Posted March 26, 2014 Maybe nothing considering KH3 will also be on Xbox One or does their controller have a speaker too? Every game I've played has used the speaker, but every game has also been an exclusive to PS4. 1 SkullMajora reacted to this

Maybe for KH3 they should have the bosses retorts come from the controller, or maybe like the characters could have a communication system.
RoxSox 3,593 Posted March 26, 2014 If it was a PS4 exclusive, who knows what it could have been. It's not though. And the XBOX One has nothing like a touchpad on its controller. So.. due to the necessity of cross platform, nothing will probably be done with the touchpad.

Moochieh32 676 Posted March 26, 2014 Well, it has been said that KH3 will have some exclusives on the PS4, so maybe the speaker and the touch pad are some of them?
143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted March 26, 2014 The touch pad could be used for reaction command type things, similar to infamous. Light bar could go from green to blinking red if your low on health. Speaker could have the sound effects such as the low health one, picking up items that type of stuff
Kittenz 4,281 Posted March 26, 2014 Maybe they won't put anything on it the xbox one controller can't do. Or maybe they will cater it to both. But that would take longer....
Sora96 17,256 Posted March 26, 2014 Doubt they'll do anything. Maybe they won't put anything on it the xbox one controller can't do. Or maybe they will cater it to both. KH4Real 749 Posted March 26, 2014 The PS4 can still have exvlusive content. But yeh I think it won't do anything.
Sora96 17,256 Posted March 26, 2014 The PS4 can still have exvlusive content. But yeh I think it won't do anything. It can, but Square Enix always want to keep both versions of the game the same as much as possible. They won't even release DLC if the other version can't support that DLC. Regardless, the Xbox One controller doesn't have a touch pad either, so my argument still stands.

Tigerruss 576 Posted March 28, 2014 For the touch pad, either they will do something they can easily do with it, or just ignore it. But basically it won't be adding anything it would just be an alternative way of doing something in the game.Maybe they could make it an alternative to the D-pad for going through menus. And for the PS4 controller speaker, it'll have two words of advice for you, "GET ON THE HYDRA'S BACK!"
