Warxend 5 Posted March 24, 2014 Hey guys I'm back. For anybody who might still be reading Rise of 14, I havn't given up on the story yet. I'm just trying to decide which way to go about it. For now here, s a new fanfic, a story about a boy who wakes up in the middle of a forrest, not knowing who he is or how he got there. As he searches for civilization he meets a Growlithe who doesn't trust any humans. These two will go on a journey which will change the very destiny of the pokemon world. Review as much as you can, I'm always looking for feedback.
Warxend 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Blackness and pain. That is what I awoke to. As I open my eyes, I realize it is early dawn. The sky is a dark blue. My entire body is stiff. There is pain in my left ankle and right arm. I try to sit up. Pain flares in my arm. Despite this, I mange. I see trees covered in dark green leaves. I realize I'm in a forrest. How did I get here? I try to get up, using my good arm. Once again, my ankle burns painfully. I am able make it, however, and shift my weight on my right foot. It seems fine, and I can manage walking. Then I notice another pain. Hunger. When have I last eaten? Come to think of it, I can't remember anything. Not when I last ate, how I got here into this forrest, not even who I am. I notice another pain. A headache. I try to rub my temple, only to wince from the resulting pain. It feels sticky, and wet. I look at my hand to see my fingers covered in blood. Whatever happened, it beat me up pretty badly. I continue my search for food, but it feels like hours before I find something. Finally, I see a different looking tree, covered by round, red, spiky fruit. Hungrily, I grab one and take a huge bite out of it. Immediately my mouth burns painfully. Spitting out the fruit, I continue on, my hunger all the more known, and my tongue still burning. Soon I come across another tree, this one with small blue berries. Taking one, I examine it closer, seeing if it is another fire-fruit, or even worse. It looks innocent enough. Weighing my chances, my hunger proves too much. I take a small bite out of it. The pain in my mouth subsides as it touches my tongue. It is sweet. I take another bite. And another. Soon I finish the berry. Nothing seems to be happening to me so I take some more. I eat until I am full. Strangely, my wounds feel better too. I test putting weight on my left leg and feel only a slight twinge. I think I can walk on it. These berries must have some sort of healing property to them. I have no idea how long I will be in this forrest, so I take with me as many berries as I can hold. I then continue my journey, my goal? Civilization. The sun is shining over the trees now and I can see better. As I look around for any signs of people, I see an orange lump on the ground. On closer inspection, I realize it's a pokemon. Doglike in appearance, this pokemon is covered with orange fur. Along it's back and legs were black stripes and it had cream colored fur on it's chest, head, and tail. The poor thing is thin and covered in scars. The fur is soaked, possibly from rain. Suddenly it moves, opening it's eyes a deep dark purple. They harden instantly. The pokemon jumps up growling. I back off not wanting it to think I mean harm. The pokemon looks slightly confused, but continues walking towards me, growling at me. Suddenly it helps in pain and stumbles on it's right foreleg. I try to move closer, but the pokemon snaps at me. "It's okay, little guy. I don't want to hurt you, I just want to help," I say. The pokemon keeps growling, not convinced. "Here," I say, pulling some berries out of my pocket "You must be starving." Once again, the creature looks confused. I roll the berries over to him. The pokemon steps back slightly. "It won't hurt you" I say "If anything it'll heal that leg." The dog pokemon still looks at it confused. "I'm not leaving until you eat something. Unless you like my company, I'd eat that berry." Finally, the pokemon sniffs the berry, then looks at me again. I nod my head encouragingly. He once again sniffs the berry, and at least, takes a small bite. He swallows it, then can't control his hunger anymore. In the span of seconds, he downs the rest of the berries. "Here," I say, taking out the rest of the berries in my pocket, "You need these more than me." The pokemon hesitates for a moment, then eats them straight out of my hands. Once finished, he tackles me to the ground. At first I think it's to attack me, but he's sniffing my pockets for more. "All out, little guy." The pokemon whines in disappointment, then pins me to the ground. This is it, I think as the creative's muzzle moves to my face. I close my eyes, and feel a wet tongue stroking my cheek. He's licking me! I stroke his head, and he rubs it against me. Little did I know, this was the start of a long and happy friendship.
