Ghost 1,857 Posted March 24, 2014 Jesus Christ I had so much fun. Went with 3 friends (one drove) on Thursday night after school to pick up our badges. Were-reg'd, and rather than wait in an (even longer) line the next day, picked them up that night. Friday was the actual first day of the convention. I woke up at five and got ready, decided not to wear a ton of makeup (just eyeliner) otherwise I'd be greasy and not able to touch my face all day... Yeah so in short just laziness, haha. That night we left probably around midnight. I was dressed in lolita that day and when I talked through the mall part this little girl pointed and smiled at me while holding her mothers hand and I thought it was freaking ADORABLE. A man asked to take my picture and said "my kids will never believe this" and I just thought it was so cool. That day was great, my only regret is not attending the opening ceremony or the cosplay deathmatch. I'm not sure why I didn't, but...definitely next year I'm going to go to one of them. We met up with more friends, split up and met etc. throughout the con, the first day we actually met this REALLY CREEPY FCKING GUY AND IT WAS REALLY WEIRD so we went to the bathroom and his there for a bit (myself and two girl friends) until one of our boy friends could pick us up LOL I went to the swap meet and traded some stuff but I had a reaaaaaal hard time saying "no" to people, so when my friend came by i asked her to do it for me (we signaled eachother via ASL) I got some cool stuff, chatted with some nice girls and guys for a while, and yeah. Ate a lot of good food as always, mmmmh Did I mention that I started sobbing when I saw yugioh cosplayers? Yeah, I was realy bawling. I cried 3 times at the convention. Second day was a blast, I was dressed as Yami Bakura and I had convinced my friend to let me borrow and wear his duel disk!!! Though I forgot my deck in the car and at home so... We stayed til 2am the second day and 2 of my friends and I waited in the mall which is REALLY SCARY sincd its so...rich looking. Like literally it's the richest freaking mall ever. I napped on one of the benches and a group of guys coming from the convention passed us and said "MAD respect for all of you". One guy thouht we were actually going to spend the night sleeping on the bench and offered for us to share their room. My friend laughed and said "naw we're just waiting for our last friend" but I was too sleepy to say anything, heheh. Last day is bittersweet. Sad it's over, glad you came anyways. I was bawling while leaving and asked a Weevil cosplayer for a hug. I didn't take too many photos the last two days (or any, actually) because I was wearing my friends duel disk and it was just a hell to take off to get to my backpack and blahblahblah more excuses. My only regret besides the pictures is not being as social as I wish I was last year. I made friends last year and talked to people, but this year I was just more awkward that normally. I'm not sure why, really. Maybe it's just because I'd been so depressed lately and the convention made me so happy that I was in a perpetually dazed state. Ahhhhh.....I'm gonna miss it...I have the money and means for one convention a year, and that is anime boston. I can't believe its over, it's almost surreal. I did see many KH cosplayers but I didn't get pictures of most of them since there were soooo many. After a few years going to a con and you see the same characters over and over again, ya tend to not take pictures of common ones. Or at least thats how it was for me >w< Here's a link to a short slideshow/album thingy on photobucket. only 40 something photos, but enjoy anyways! Forgive the selfies and weird faces I make B) I took no serious photos of myself since I wasn't feelin' the selfie game: http://s64.photobucket.com/user/JelIyfish/slideshow/Anime%20Boston%202014 ^ the password for that is "rollingintheswag" Actually since photobucket sucks and I'm sighing like crazy I'm going to make a flickr and just upload the pics there lawl 5 Emrys, Javelin434, Cucco and 2 others reacted to this

Ghost 1,857 Posted March 25, 2014 #BostonStrongLast year Connor from AC held up a flag with that, plus the shirts and other merch with that were sold like literally 10 feet from the convention in the mall hahaI wanna go to Anime Boston sooooooo bad. Ah well. I guess I can wait until I get enough money to go.Priority is ticket money, merchandise and cosplay are of course optional it really is one of the best conventions around so when you get the chance you should totally go!And to everyone, thank you! Like i totally recommend going to a convention at least once in your life. It's not for everyone of course so it might not be your cup of tea, but to be surrounded by fellow nerds...is amazing.
