Help! Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

So, I recently got Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD. And, I'm really enjoying it. It takes me through memory lane. Now, you probably are thinking, "What's the problem?" Well, the problem is seen below.

  ( Image extension error )

This, is  Sinspawn Gui. I literally have no idea, but every single time I fight him, or her, I lose. It's been a few days now, and I still have yet to beat it! No matter what I do, it's always a straight up fail. I remember having a big problem with this beast on the PS2 version. I had hopes of beating the game in twenty hours or less....But with this guy, there seems to be a change of plans. I've seen  walk through's. I've farmed enemies. Yet, I still cannot defeat him.

Does anyone know a specific tactic to defeat him? Anyone? If you do, please comment it in the comments section below.

Thanks,

-Aang

Kill the arms then cast firaga on the shell. I used Valefor to get both done and finished off the creature inside with the party. Pretty straightforward battle.

EDIT:Disregard me I got it confused with the first sinspawn you fight.

Gotta defeat the hands/arms first.

Yes, I realize this. When I happen to defeat the hands/arms, I usually have Tidus left, and he wares me down to where I run clean out of potions, and phoneix downs.

This is my strategy:

Typically go into battle with Yuna, Tidus, Lulu, and Auron.

I summon Ifrit. I then attack the arms/hands relentlessly until Ifrit is low on health. I then use every summon, to ware him down. After that, Yuna is only used for white magic. After that, it's basically the same, hit 'em. Tactic. In the end, Tidus is usually left, and there aren't enough potions to save him.

Sounds like you're underleveled.

Use wakka and lulu to damge the head, after it's destroyed, damaged the ands untill they are destroyed with kimari and auron, and the body with kimari and auron.

you can also ingore the head and damage it when it's about to split at you, but you'll have to use only auron for damage, or switch a character when you see that he's about to split at you, but a character would probaly die.

Also, make sure everyone have haste on them, it would  would be helpfull.

Get Fira for Lulu if you haven't gotten it yet, buy more healing items, target the head first with Wakka, Lulu, and Yuna's summonings. Then destroy the hands/arms. One casting of Fira from Lulu will annihilate a hand in one shot. Then target the body. If Lulu has Fira and you're grinding with each of your characters along the way, then you shouldn't have any issues.

I always had trouble with that boss too, and I never managed to get past it until I leveled up Lulu to get her second-tier magic.  I remember a lot of it was a matter of hitting as hard as I could, as fast as I could.  You can try getting in some heavy damage in the start of the battle by having everyone's Overdrives prepared and just wailing on him.  Make sure Tidus casts Haste on the party (I don't remember if you can get Hastega at this point...).  Err on the side of caution and don't let your HP fall too low, since he hits hard.  Have Lulu and Wakka attack the head; it won't regenerate, and you want to get it out of the way since Venom hurts.  Have Auron and Kimahri work on the arms, while Lulu and Yuna's Aeons can help with the heavy-hitting.  It might help to always have a dedicated healer in the party at all times, either Yuna or a tank who can use items without worrying about themselves.

Start off with Lulu, Wakka, and Yuna. Occasionally, the head will begin to move. When this occurs, counter the impending attack with any long range attack or spell, but do not use water or thunder. If the boss uses its venom attack, use esuna to heal everyone. Attack and cast spells until the head dies and turns grey.  After eliminating the head, switch to a new strategy using Auron and Kimahri due to their high strength. Eliminate the arms first, since they are constantly guarding the body. Lulu's second level and up spells should get rid of an arm in one shot. Once the arms die, attack the body, but the arms will eventually regenerate to block the body.

Hope I helped.

It worked.... THANK you very much. Well, my dreams of hitting a 20 hour speedrun  failed. ( 18 hrs. )
