"Now you just getting into my personal space." Gaku said with annoyance as he takes his finger and pushed Harmony back a feet or two without shoving her.

"Gaku, did you forget to give the group background information about how this world works?" Harmony asked.

"Yeah, but only the Realground portion. I didn't tell them about the Underground yet." Gaku responded.

 

"I told you guys about how Shibuya works earlier today. Well, I only told you half of the story" Gaku stated. "There are two planes of existence in this world: the Realground which is where we are, and the Underground, where the Reaper Games occur. In this world, if you were to die and have regrets in your life, you are given a second chance to come back to life. That's how the Reaper Games work. the Player forfeits his or her entry fee which is something very close to you, and he or she must survive one week with a new objective and a time limit given every day from the Reapers. If the remaining Players survive the games, they will get their entry fee back, and become resurrected back to the Realground."

 

"There are three types of Reapers: Harriers send Noise, souls bound into the pins the Reapers create to attack players. If given permission to, unless it's the last day of the Games, they may attack and erase the Players from existence. Support Reapers create challenges for the players who must pass their objectives to make progress. Finally, you have the Game Master. They are top level Reapers. They create a mission per day until the last day where the Players have to defeat the Game Master to be resurrected."

 

Gaku stepped in after Harmony finished talking. "There are three more ranks higher than the Game Master, but we get to those ranks another time. Because we are in the Realground, the Reapers will be difficult to find due to non-exposure of their black wings which can be seen in the Underground. They can live normal lives on the Realground while doing their job at the Underground. However, we can get past that." Gaku pulled the two Player Pins out of his pocket and threw one to Harmony who caught the Pin. "With these Player pins, we can use them to find the Reapers because if we were to scan them, we can't read their thoughts. My dad survived the Games three times because of special circumstances as well as my mother, Beat, and his sister Rhyme. My dad kept the Pin, and passed it down to me."

 

Gaku looked around the room to come up with a strategy. "Alright listen up! we are gonna split into two groups. Those who need to do some shopping for clothes will go with Harmony. She will take you towards the 104 Tower, and investigate in the areas around 104 such as Shibukyu Main Store, AMX, etc. I will be leading my group around the upper areas of Shibuya, such as Towa Records, Molco and Udagawa. So choose your group. We are leaving in ten minutes." Gaku informed.

 

 

Raidyn / Toshi

 

Both Raidyn and Toshi nodded. Both of them were antsy for a fight... well, Raidyn was, actually. Toshi was more antsy just to prove that she could be more useful to the group. She remembered that in Land of Dragons, all she really did was sit back and take care of Raidyn after he got knocked out, among other things... so a chance to do even more than that was welcomed in her eyes.

 

"I still don't really understand how stuff works in this world, but at least this'll give me a chance to learn some new stuff that I didn't get out of the books back at the Academy. First hand experience is always more fun," Raidyn said aloud after Gaku explained the concepts of the world they were in.

 

"We already have a group. Right?" Toshi asked Raidyn and Indy after Gaku finished his explanation.

 

"Yeah, sure do," Raidyn responded with a grin.

 

 

"So, from what I gather, we're going to kill the grim Reaper for a hot fudge sundae and vengeance. " Brooklyn stated. "Even if I'm wrong, I'm in for some shopping. I need some new gloves." Brooklyn stated dryly.

 

 

Annistha closed her eyes as she tried to regain her emotional balance. Darkness was a central part of her brother Zale. If someone tried to destroy him...

"At least I won't have to worry about him being taken from me in our current state." She thought. "We live or die together."

Taking in a deep breath, Annistha opened her eyes, looking a little calmer then she had before.

"I'm not that interested in shopping, so I'll go with you, Gaku." She said, absently resuming her finger tapping on the counter.

 

 

"New threads? Sick. Alright, I'm in." Ember said excitedly, agreeing to go with Harmony and Brooklyn. Somrene glanced down to Allitt. 

"I'd assume you aren't much for shopping. What say we get our hands dirty a bit quicker?" He proposed. He was trying to appeal to her, but he doubted that anything he said would really change her opinion of him. At least for a while. Sometimes he envied his sister's ability to make friends and do what she wanted with others, often without consequence.

Ghost was seriously contemplating the options presented before him. I wonder if they have trenchcoats on this world? By golly, I'll be just like my instructor! Well, his whole counterpart, but still! I can be like one of those badasses like I've always dreamed of! But... What if this is a test for me to stay true to the mission? Why must life be so cruel?

 

Ghost's left eye twitched for a bit as he stared off into space; both options were equally appetizing for the sentinel-in-training. It was a solid minute before he was able to zone back into reality. "Harmony it is then!" he exclaimed to the group, "I could use some new threads!"

"I'd prefer to go straight to the mission, but the others have a point... I probably look suspicious in this." Allitt sighed, noting the large trenchcoat she was wearing at the moment. "I should probably go with Harmony." She said reluctantly.

 

"I think we're all set to go straight to finding the enemies. Right, Raidyn, Toshi?" Indy asked his two friends, making sure the three were ready to move.

"You betcha!" Raidyn said with high spirits, greatly accepting the chance to start fighting again.

 

"Right," Toshi softly agreed, smiling brightly.

"I think we're all set to go straight to finding the enemies. Right, Raidyn, Toshi?" Indy asked his two friends, making sure the three were ready to move.

"Hey guys, waaaaaaaaait!" Lucas came in running towards the others as they were about to set off, and finally came to a stop, panting as he was out of breath. "Sorry i'm late guys...I got a bit sidetracked....Are we going somewhere?"

"We're going to split off into two groups to hunt down either a member of Sol, or find the Reapers that they seem to be working with." She answered his question. "You'll have to get the detailed explanation later, you just missed it." Of course, someone had to miss that important information... She shook her head in slight annoyance.

Upon hearing Lucas entering the cafe, Ghost felt a pang of sadness in his heart as he realized that during the entire trip from the landed gummi ships to this place, no one seemed to care or notice the fact of leaving a friend behind, himself included. For a defender who is supposed to be hyper-vigilant and observant, I'm failing rather hard at this...

 

As the Sentinel-in-training moved to get closer to the group following Harmony, a man in, you guessed it, a tan trenchcoat and a fedora bumped into the student and then walked off into the streets. Ghost froze in his tracks for a bit as he tried registering what the man said in that brief moment, and immediately went wide-eyed. "I'm sorry guys," he suddenly announced to the group, "I just realized I had something to do. I'll catch up with you all later!" 

 

With that, he scrambled out of the cafe and disappeared from view.

Somrene nodded to Allitt. "Then we shall." He said. "Perhaps I will find something for myself as well." He wasn't really into shopping, just wasn't his thing, but if he was going to be with Allitt, then they would be going shopping. 

Ember stood near Brooklyn and they neared Harmony. "New clothes would probably be good for me as well. As much as I love my ninja gear, it's probably not going to work for every world." She said smiling at him.

He wasn't really into shopping, just wasn't his thing, but if he was going to be with Allitt, then they would be going shopping. Ember stood near Brooklyn and they neared Harmony. "I'm afraid not, although they are nice clothes none the less." Brooklyn remarked. "Shall we?"

Gaku opened his eyes with his group in view. "Alirght, We head to Towa Records, and we split off from there. I may have a pretty good idea where the organization may be hiding, but Shibuya's a huge city, so we need to cover a lot of ground." Gaku looked over his shoulder to see Josh and Hanekoma. "Thanks for the info guys. We'll see what we can do from here." Gaku said. Harmony opened the entrance door. "Let's get going everyone!"

 

Gaku and Harmony lead the group outside the cafe and through the Miyashita Park. Thankfully, no skaters were flying out of the Half-pipe. While walking through the underpass, Gaku called out for Harmony's attention. "Oi. Harmony. . ."

"Yes?" Harmony responded.

"We split off from Towa Records. You take your group towards 104, stopping at the appropriate shops for them and investigate the areas. Try checking the river area if you can. I'll lead my group towards Udagawa. I have a funny feeling about that place, and it's not the creative feeling." Gaku said.

Harmony nodded her head. "Got it. By the way, what should I get you Gaku? Maybe some new shorts?" Harmony flirted.

Gaku narrowed his eyes in annoyance and brought his headphones up. Ugh. . . Annoying stalker.

Soul followed behind Gaku, shrugging quietly. "I'll go with you guys, I guess. You could use an extra member." Deep inside, he wanted to go with shopping group, but decided to help out the minority.

Annistha gave Joshua and Mr H a smile and wave before heading out after Gaku. She smirked slightly at Gaku and Harmony's interaction. She had a comment ready to go, but decided to save it for when Gaku didn't have his headphones up.

"Glad to have you." She said to Soul brightly. "Don't worry, this is going to be a blast."

"In more then one sense of the word." Zale finished darkly, his stockier frame and spiky red hair replacing Annistha's smiler frame and auburn dreadlocks in the blink of an eye.

The Dark Twin looked up at the city's skyline.

"What kind of resistance should we expect if the Reapers are aligned with Sol?" He asked Gaku.
