Kingdom Hearts: Fade into Light (Roleplay Thread)

Gaku narrowed his eyes in disbelief as he heard Ghost's response. Yeah right. Something's biting you. But I don't wanna probe too far. Gaku thought. "All right. Controls are yours." Gaku stated as he relinquished his position to Ghost. "We should be arriving at Shibuya very soon. There is a little problem though. There is not much landscape except for a few parks to land this ship due to heavy urbanization of the world. Any ideas of how to land?

[Highwind]

After being given back the controls, Ghost took a deep breath and slowly collected his thoughts. C'mon Ghost. Focus. You can wonder about this later. "We should be arriving at Shibuya very soon." the Sentinel-in-training heard Gaku inform, "There is a little problem though. There is not much landscape except for a few parks to land this ship due to heavy urbanization of the world. Any ideas of how to land?"

Ghost bit the inside of his lower lips as he started thinking of options. It was bad enough to hear that parking space was limited so to speak, but hearing that the best possible landing spots would be at ground level where people can easily access and possibly sabotage the ship was a little unnerving to him. Fortunately, his training with the Instructor on Sentinel specific actions might actually come in handy for this. "I can land this on the rooftops if need be," Ghost replied back, "it'll take us some time to get back up once we're done, but at least we don't have to worry about the world residents doing something stupid to the ship. But, if everyone here insists on easy access, I guess landing in a park shouldn't be too bad."

A little smile formed on the student's face. "Do me a favor and go ask the other students if they want the ship on a rooftop or in a park. We'll go with the majority vote."

"Yeah, I'll go ask them" Gaku replied to Ghost. Gaku got up from his chair and left the cockpit room to talk to the members in another room. He heard Raidyn asked about where they are going to next. Gaku cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "All right guys. We are closing in to our next world, which is my home world, Shibuya. Our objective there is to get more information about the Organization." Gaku stated. He took out the stolen Player Pin. "The member we fought, Junsei, possessed the Player Pin which originates from my world. There are only few people that are allowed to possess this pin. The Players of the Reaper Games, My father, and I. This Pin that was stolen from Shibuya indicates that the Organization must have attacked my home world, and that's what we are going to investigate. There are two Keyblade Wielders stationed at Shibuya currently investigating the situation, and we are going to meet up with them. I may know where they are located in Shibuya."

Gaku catched his breath and continued speaking. "Shibuya is a heavily urbanized world, which means technology is very advanced there, and there are skycrapers, landmarks, and a myriad of people living in this world. We are going to stick out of the crowd, so don't focus on the people, and stick with me as I guide you to the destination in Shibuya to start our investigation." Gaku said. "Now, Ghost wants a majority vote from you guys. Do you want to land on the rooftops, so no one can mess with our ship, or land in one of the parks which gives us easy access, but risk people poking around the ships? I prefer rooftops, but I want to hear your opinions." Gaku concluded as he folded his arms.

With a grouchy Zale in her head, Annistha stayed out of the on goings of the ship. While she enjoyed talking with people, she and Zale needed to consider a few things...

~*Inside The Nexus*~

"They're leading us along." Zale stated.

Inside the combined heart of the Nexus, the twins stood on their co-joined Stations of Heart.

"Possibly." Annistha admitted. "But if so, then why? Converts? Looking for weaknesses before finally trying to take us out?"

"Both could work." Zale replied. "Though I'm leaning more towards trying to convert us since our 'prisoner' decided to switch sides. I don't believe she is just joining us for revenge."

Annistha shrugged.

"If these people are as radical as we think, then casting out someone they consider weak makes since." She countered. "As does her resentment."

Zale snorted to show he was unconvinced. Since both of the twins could tell they wouldn't make head way with arguing about the Enemy and their methods, they switched subjects to an old standby.

Regaining memories...

"I'd say we should land on the rooftops." Indy suggested.

"I agree. It should be a lot safer than landing in a park." Allitt nodded. "There's less of a chance of us being spotted in a more isolated area that most people wouldn't bother to go to."

"That's exactly what I was thinking." Indy said as he stretched. "Anyway... If we're meeting up with other students there, we'll need to exchange information." He turned to his sister, looking a bit nervous. "I think you should probably tell us more about the organization, and that girl we fought earlier... I mean, only if you're comfortable with that." Even though he knew that Allitt had valuable knowledge on the organization, he didn't want to force her into sharing anything. He was glad to see his sister again, and was worried that interrogating her too much might just making her uncomfortable.

"No... I understand. I'll tell you all whatever you need to know." Her gaze shifted to the ground as she tried to hide the sad look in her eyes. She didn't want to risk showing weakness in front of the people who she felt she could barely call allies.

Gaku was satisfied with the choice Indy and Allitt made. "That's what I thought. I prefer rooftops, but I should hear what the others would say. Ghost's orders." Gaku said. He heard Allitt and Indy talked about exchanging information about the Organization with Allitt trying to hide her face. "I prefer we exchange information when everyone is at Shibuya at the meeting location. So give yourself time to think about everything until we meet up with the others and my Mentors." Gaku stated.

[Highwind]

[since the host hasn't said that we're near the world, I'm just gonna continue to stall and feed character development xD]

Ghost looked out beyond the glass of the cockpit bubble of the Highwind, still trying to fathom his actions as he listened in to Gaku addressing the other students behind him. The stars looked beautiful against the stark black emptiness that spanned between them. Ahead and to the right of the ship was the Overwatch, bobbing ever so gently in the sea of emptiness with its strobe navigation lights blinking twice every second. "I agree." He heard Allitt say as he tuned back into the conversations behind him, "It should be a lot safer than landing in a park. There's less of a chance of us being spotted in a more isolated area that most people wouldn't bother to go to."

Curious as to what the instructor was doing, Ghost squinted his eyes as he tried focusing on the angular glass of the Overwatch cockpit section. Inside, Ghost was able to barely make out the instructor's outline, and squinting a little harder, it became apparent that Striker was on the radio. The student was able to see his instructor speaking into the radio mic; the black drooping cord that trailed from the instructor's hand to the console gave it away. Who are you talking to? the student wondered as he reached for the radio next to him. An overwhelming sense of curiosity got the better of him as he refrained from contacting his instructor. Instead, Ghost started playing with the tuning knob, trying to intercept his instructor's communications. While trying to find the right frequency, Ghost listened in to the students once again. "That's what I thought." He heard Gaku reply to Allitt, "I prefer rooftops, but I should hear what the others would say. Ghost's orders."

Raidyn / Toshi

Both Raidyn and Toshi sat back and listened to their friends discuss their plan of action. Neither of them were really the type to be leaders or tell people what to do, so they decided they would just go along with what everybody else was doing, especially Raidyn; he figured he would act more like a team player to make up for his recklessness.

So, Rei is asleep under Ghost's chair.

But Zion? She fell asleep. Yes, she fell asleep. This happened all the time, and when she woke up, she cursed. Her ship had moved off because of laziness, so, she decided to teleport. But she had a horrible time with aiming, and the unfortunate victim was Alitt this time.

"DAMMIT!" She said, looking down. "Uh...hi."

(. . . wuh. . . I don't even. . . Rei was not on Ghost's lap the entire time or else we could've mentioned her. Didn't I mention to you that you could at least have Zion teleport with Rei during our skype session? That would make a little more sense ._. )

As Gaku awaited for more votes, he witnessed an unusual scene in front of him where his teacher landed on Allitt's head. He facepalmed his head as he groaned. "I'm not debriefing this again to the teacher. Someone will have to debrief the teacher." Gaku claimed.

"Just park the ship already! Why are you asking our opinions anyways, parking is up to the discretion of the driver." Somrene called back up to the cockpit, as he leaned back in his seat, eyes closed. Seriously, was this truly such a difficult decision. Sometimes the indecisiveness of others astonished them. Or maybe he'd just spent too much time with his parents. Both were definitely decisive, just in their own ways.

----

Ember watched through the windshield, and quickly pointed to a rooftop. "Right there Brooklyn! It's perfect!" She exclaimed, passionate about even the smallest thing.

Gaku said as he went back into the cockpit. He then heard Ember on the radio to land at a specific rooftop which looks very familiar to Gaku. Is this. . ? Gaku eyes opened in realization. "Oi, Ghost, land on the rooftop Brooklyn's ship is landing on. That's my old apartment!"

Apparently we're on Shibuya now... Alrighty then.

[shibuya]

Instructor Striker's electronic voice cackled through the radio on the Highwind for what may possibly be the last time. "Striker Four to Highwind, escort mission complete. Breaking off to pursue next objective."

As Ghost watched the Overwatch roll sharply to the right and pull away, he calmly reached for the radio to say goodbye. "Copy that, Sir. Come back soon, alright?"

The radio was silent for a moment, and then came a quiet buzz; Ghost quickly realized that the instructor's mic was active, but he wasn't talking. After several seconds, the silence was broken. "I can't promise you that anymore, Ghost."

Before the student could click the mic to respond, the Overwatch vanished in a burst of light; the ship went meteor and thus, was beyond the Highwind's furthest band of communication range within a matter of milliseconds.

"Just park the ship already! " Somrene's voice rattled throughout the cockpit. Entering the world's atmosphere, Ghost twisted his head until he heard a satisfying pop from his neck and quickly scanned the buildings for a suitable rooftop.

"Oi, Ghost, land on the rooftop Brooklyn's ship is landing on. That's my old apartment!" Gaku exclaimed. Ghost glanced over at the building in question. After concluding that the building could support the weight of two ships on it, Ghost started the usual landing procedures. After a gentle and successful touchdown, Ghost started shutting down the ship. "Alright. We've landed," the Sentinel-in-training announced to everyone in the ship, "Ramp is lowered. Head on out. I gotta stay back until this ship is fully offline.

Meanwhile...

After ascending a vague amount of floors of the apartment complex, Spectre, Shadow, and Spirit of Spooky Team blew through the door that connected the rooftop to the building below. "Yep. It's the Highwind alright." Spectre breathlessly remarked, seeing the ship directly in front of them. Shadow just collapsed onto the rooftop surface completely breathless, with Spirit laughing as he playfully kicked the poor squadmate. "stay here and wait for Ghost."

Gaku was the first one out the Highwind as he jumped from the said transport. He ran up north to the near edge of the rooftop with a steel-bar ledge which he grabbed onto, and smelled the familiar atmosphere in his world. Gaku looked around the overpopulated city and eyed the two major areas of the world. The 104 Tower near the Scramble Crossing and the Miyashita Park near the location of the meeting place. He gazed out as he puts one hand in his pocket. "Good. This place hasn't changed." Gaku said with a grin.

Annistha opened her eyes to see the ship was landed.

"Well, that seemed smooth." She noted as she unbuckled herself from her seat.

She followed Gaku out and took a look at the new world.

"Impressive." She said.

She elbowed Gaku playfully.

"You're gonna have to show us around, a bit."

[Nexus Shift]

With her quip out of the way, Zale took control and surveyed the skyline, like a hunter taking in anew jungle.

(Well, now that my work is done, time to catch up with RPs... ohboy)

"Uh...hi."

As Allitt stood while everyone else discussed plans, she suddenly crumpled to the floor, feeling something heavy land on top of her. She heard the shout of someone above her, and tried to look up, noticing that Zion was on top of her. Normally, Allitt would have been angry. However, she was more confused, having had a woman she barely knew suddenly drop on her. "... Hi. Please get off of me." She muttered.

Indy nearly burst out laughing, but heard that the ship was now landing on an apartment building. "Uh... I'll leave you two to settle that. I'm going to head out and, uh... Scout around." He said, and left the ship. He walked out as Annistha spoke with Gaku, and smiled. "I wouldn't mind a tour, myself." He approached the two. "So... Gaku, where are we going first? You know this place better than all of us, so you're leading the way." He told the boy. While looking around the rooftop, he noticed three odd looking men staring at the Highwind. "Uh... Who are you?" He asked curiously.

Raidyn / Toshi

Raidyn couldn't help but laugh too. He had experienced the same thing back in the Land of Dragons, so he felt better about it now that it happened to someone else, though he did feel bad for Allit at the same time. Toshi did better to hide her laughter, keeping it down to small giggles.

"Oh hey, Toshi, let's follow Indy!" Raidyn then said, noticing Indy heading out. "He'll probably need our help."

"Sure. Let's go," Toshi said, glad to see that Raidyn was taking things a bit more seriously already.

"Yo, Indy!" Raidyn said as he and Toshi regrouped with Indy. "We're here to help. Don't worry, pal, I won't do anything stupid. You're the boss on this mission, and I'll listen to whatever you say," Raidyn said, giving Indy a fake salute while Toshi simply nodded to her friend.

"Oh, and um, who are these three?" Toshi asked, noticing the three new faces that were by Indy and Gaku.

Finally hearing the engines falling quiet aboard the Highwind, Ghost glanced at the control console one last time to make sure the shutdown sequence was completed. Not as digitized as the Overwatch, but I guess that's why this ship is so damn rugged. Striker was right about analog instruments. Satisfied that the Highwind wasn't gonna take off on its own once he steps off the ship, Ghost decided it was now appropriate to exit the ship. Rei, who was sitting on his lap the entire time, was gently cradled by the sentinel-in-training as he slowly carried her off the ship.

Spectre and Spirit were still out of breath when the students disembarked the Highwind, and the two were pretty damn sure Shadow was unconscious. "Oi," the former addressed to his squadmate, "poke the guy and make sure he's still alive."

Spirit's response was a mix between pained wheezing and a silent laugh. "I need a stick!"

"I heard that..." Shadow murmured, still collecting his breath, "prick."

"Uh... Who are you?" the trio of shadow students heard Indy ask.

Toshi was the second to ask the trio. "Oh, and um, who are these three?"

Taking several deep breaths, Spectre finally managed to communicate a reply. "We're Ghost's friends."

Spirit managed to add in to the conversation. "We're with Striker, so that's why you might not recognize us. If you heard odd noises at night back at the academy, then it was most likely us. Specifically Shadow, since that guy tends to hang out in the kitchen."

"Where's Ghost, and Rei?!" Shadow shouted, following advice from his friends as he took a deep breath in and crawled back onto his feet.

"Over here!" They heard Ghost shout back, with Rei cradled in his arms.

"Heh, here comes the bride." Shadow playfully remarked upon seeing their friend with his girlfriend. Happy to see the couple still together, the playful squadmate turned to address the students. "So, what brings you all to Shibuya?"

Zion jumped up...then tripped and faceplanted into Alitt's breasts. She laid there for two seconds, then raised her right hand, only her index finger held high. "I don't plan this." She let her hand drop...then mimiced the motion with her left hand. "Mister Quacks I thought we got you a new travel agent." Zion got out of Alitt's personal space and picked up a normal talking duck who had a bent wing.

"He went on vacation and I got the old one -OW I BROKE MY WING!"

Zion shook her head and teleported away to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, Rei yawned cutely. "nnn. Hi guys. Dont touch my carrotcake. That means you Shadow."

((The duck joke was a running gag elsewhere I forgot until now.))

"Heh, here comes the bride." Shadow playfully remarked upon seeing their friend with his girlfriend. Happy to see the couple still together, the playful squadmate turned to address the students. "So, what brings you all to Shibuya?"

As Gaku looked at the skyscrapers, His peaceful homecoming was short-lived as Nexus, Indy, Raidyn and Toshi came up to him to ask for a tour. As Gaku began to say something he noticed three people who were trying to catch their breaths. They introduced themselves as friends of Ghost and Rei. Gaku watch Ghost communicate with the three and came to conclusion that they are alright to talk to. The playful one, Shadow, asked the students what the group is doing in Shibuya. Gaku stepped forward. "We're here to investigate the situation with the Light-obsessed Organization. We fought one of them and she dropped the Player Pin, which is a sacred item that belongs to certain people from this world, including me." Gaku said. "We were getting ready to meet up with a few friends of mine as well as the Keyblade Wielders that are currently investigating Shibuya's situation."

Gaku folded his arms while bringing his left eyebrow up. "What I'm curious about is what you three are doing here? Vacationing, or investigating?" Gaku questioned.

Lucas looked in shock as he saw Zion put his face...well, we don't need to say that. He clenched his fists as Zion quickly ran after that embarrassing moment. Oh my god, you gotta be kidding me. He then walked over to Alitt and extended his hand out to her. "Come on, we should join the others. And don't worry, my lips are sealed. I still can't believe that's the second time something like that happened to you."

[shibuya Rooftops]

Spectre, Shadow, and Spirit listened intently to Gaku's answer as to why his posse of students were there. "We're here to investigate the situation with the Light-obsessed Organization. The trio nodded quietly as the student continued,"What I'm curious about is what you three are doing here? Vacationing, or investigating?"

Spectre was the one to answer his question. "We were on vacation while waiting for Ghost over there to earn his sigil. Shadow over here decided to drag us along for his shopping spree."

The black haired squadmate grinned sheepishly as he scratched the backside of his head. "I couldn't help it."

"Anyways, if you don't mind, we're gonna come along with you all. Wherever Ghost goes, we go."

Rei's adorable voice interrupted the conversation. "nnn. Hi guys. Don't touch my carrotcake. That means you Shadow."

"No promises, mate!"

"Carrotcake?" Spirit asked, confused.

Joel was jolted awake by the ship's landing on the building rooftop. "Well, I guess we're here," he said groggily as he crawled out of bed. He quickly washed up in the bathroom, made a quick stop in the kitchen to grab a bagel -- he was hungry after his long nap -- and made his way outside to where the others were.

Joel immediately noticed that there were a few extra heads. He saw Ghost hanging with some new characters. Joel decided to approach the trio.

"Salutations. You guys must be... acquaintances of Ghost," he said, having the feeling that the others had already asked them who they were.

Allitt

Allitt could feel that she was starting to blush as Lucas decided to help her out. He might not be the smartest person here, but at least he's nice... She took Lucas' hand and let him help her up. "Thanks, Lucas..." She muttered. As she left the ship, she shook her head. Ugh, I'm getting too soft... I can't believe that's happening.

Indy

"Heh, good to know, Raidyn!" Indy grinned at his friend, happy that he was feeling better now. Indy listened to Ghost's friends as they introduced themselves, trying not to laugh at how ridiculous they were. "I'm fine with you all coming along. We need all the help we can get, after all." He nodded at them. "Since you three have been here for a while... Have you seen any other Keyblade wielders? We were supposed to meet up with two students from the academy here." He asked them, hoping that they'd seen the two.

He helped Alitt out and saw her walk out. "Your welcome." He called out to her, and then looked down to the ground. I...I don't know why, but i'm getting this weird feeling...Does it have to do with Alitt? He then shook his head and decided to walk off the ship as well, in Alitt's direction.
