Kingdom Hearts: Fade into Light (Roleplay Thread)

Recommended Posts

Indy tried to hold back a grin at his friend's excitement. Seeing Raidyn act so childish was always entertaining to him. "Well, we've still got our main objective, right? This person might just be a clue to get us closer to finding this new Organization." He began to answer. "Of course, I'm sure we'll go to other worlds along the way. We might be able to figure out our next destination when Striker's done with what he's doing. As for when we get back to the Academy when this is all over..." He grinned. "They'll probably all see us as heroes."

Raidyn / Toshi

Raidyn slowly nodded at everything that Indy was saying, and then his eyes lit up at the word "heroes". "Heroes, huh? Yeah, that'd be cool! Right Toshi?" Raidyn asked the girl sitting next to him.

"O-oh... w-well I don't know. I don't think I'm really somebody you can call a hero... I didn't even do much in our mission..." she said softly with a frown, looking down at her feet. She then felt a small jolt in her body as Raidyn slapped a hand on her back.

"Ah come on, you were great out thlere! Almost as good as I was!" Raidyn said. Even if Toshi tried, she couldn't get Raidyn to stop being her biggest supporter. She turned to him and smiled as Raidyn laughed.

"See? Much better." He said. "Anyways... I wonder what the deal is with this Organization we're fighting," Raidyn added, sort of shifting his tone as he spoke. "They're acting just like the original Organization did back in the day... do you think they want the same thing too?" He asked to both Indy and Toshi, his eyes darting between them both.

"It's hard to say. We don't have too much information on them right now," Was all Toshi could reply with.

"Yeah..." Indy seemed a bit hurt. "I heard that they're trying to shroud the worlds in light... I don't really know..." Thinking of the Organization made him think of his missing sister, which didn't quite affect him well. He tried to find some way to lighten the mood again... "So, um... You seemed pretty excited about becoming a hero... Is it because you'd get attention from all the girls?" He teased Raidyn.

Raidyn was eating his ice cream as Indy spoke again, and hearing him bring up girls made Raidyn almost choke. And on cue, Toshi started blushing madly.

"G-girls?!" Raidyn cried, his own cheeks covered with a light blush as he cleared his throat. "Come on, Indy, you know I'm not like that. I want all kinds of people to see how good I am. Geez, why are you always bugging me about girls, dude?" Raidyn was now trying to laugh off his embarrassment. Toshi couldn't help but giggle a little bit at his behavior.

Well...he already has one girl who has his attention... she thought.

"Sorry to intrupt- wait, I'm not sorry. Being a hero isn't what it's cracked up to be, if you would like to know." Brooklyn interupted. "I don't remember much before my academy days, but, I do have a foggy memory of something in my past that I remember somewhat, and all you need to know is that being a "hero" isn't fun, or easy. People count on you, look up to you, follow even the smallest of things they can about you. They trust every word you say, and they feel like they can depend on you. If you fail, if you fall... you let everyone around you down." Brooklyn leaned on the counter, drinking a can of soda. "There is no good that comes of being the hero, in my opnion." Edited by Guest

"Because I'm doomed to never get one since every other girl in this freaking roleplay's already taken." Indy sulked in the corner of the ship

Indy burst out laughing. "It's because you always get so worked up about it. It's funny seeing your reactions." He looked over at Toshi, noticing she was blushing, too. "Don't worry, Toshi. I'm sure all the guys will be a lot more interested in you, too." He continued joking around, trying to keep himself from getting upset. Of course, after that remark, he noticed Brooklyn. "You sound like you've got experience. Why do you have to rain on our parade?" He asked, a bit annoyed that Brooklyn decided to go and make everything a bit more depressing when he was actually joking around for once.

"I've gotta be brutally real with you: "Hero" is just a title, and not one anyone should have placed on their head; it puts a lot of strain on one person." Brooklyn replied. "And weather or not I have experience, even I don't truly know. I don't remember a whole lot before I was sent to this academy." He muttered.

Raidyn

"Aw come on, Brookyln, quit being a sad sack," Raidyn responded. "Being a hero is awesome! And you know, even the heroes that founded our Academy had to go through some hard times, but they made it out alright. Right?" Raidyn added, once again going back to his ice cream.

"Well, I would say having your childhood ripped away by some darkness-crazed, X-Blade hungering, creepy old man is "Making it out alright"." Brooklyn replied.

"Raidyn's right." Indy agreed, ice cream hanging out of his mouth. "Come on Brooklyn, being a hero's not all that bad. At least, it doesn't seem like it is. If you're a hero, you're called that for a reason. You won't mess up that badly, right?"

"Hero's are just human's who people think deserve regard in a positive manor, to be honest. Hero's are people, and people make mistakes. It's part of nature." Brooklyn replied. "Hero's are unlucky, in that sense, they're treated like gods but are far from it."

"Who said anything about being a god? Heroes aren't supposed to be gods, they just like to help people," Raidyn said. "And, uh, heh, they look good doing it too, if I might add," Raidyn added, chuckling to himself as he finished his ice cream.

"See, Raidyn? You really are in it for the girls." Indy laughed at his friend again. "He does have a point though, Brooklyn. Heroes aren't like how you see them." He also finished his ice cream.

"Hero's are worshiped, they're given great, big gifts, they have statues made of them, folkore about them, they all fade into history and are revered as legend, they might as well be gods." He replied back.

Indy decided to stay outside with Ghost. I should leave this to the professional... As much as I'd like to be there and gather information, I'd probably just be in the way. He nodded in response to Ghost's ice cream offer. "Alright, cool." He pulled one out of the fridge, and ate it as he waited. Noticing that Ghost seemed a bit on edge, he decided to help in lightening the mood. "This is a really nice ship." Geez, I sound stupid. "A lot cozier than the Highwind, that's for sure. It must be nice getting to ride around on this ship. Not that there's anything wrong with the Highwind, either..."

On the other side of the door, the girl woke up. However, she was nearly drained of her energy. She quickly noticed that she was being restrained by a pair of handcuffs. "What's going on?" She looked around, finally spotting Striker. "You... You're one of the Academy creeps, aren't you? Let me out of here, or you'll regret it!" She threatened, despite not being in any condition to make such claims.

(That's some fancy ass Lego ship you got there, Javelin)

[Like I told Flash in a PM, I have everything thought out for the ship. It's only now that I get the opportunity to describe it xD]

[Gummi Ship Overwatch, Rear Cockpit section]

Thankful for not having any sigil on his armor that would reveal his organization, Instructor Striker was quietly humming to himself as he finished cuffing the girl's legs. He moved on to secure the prisoner's upper arms and lower arms, and by the time he was about to cuff the girl's last free wrist, she awoke. "What's going on?" she asked. Striker merely looked at her blankly, then replied, "Well, for starters, you're on my ship." With the keyblade-grade handcuffs firmly secured, he promptly moved to tie her waist firmly into the chair as she continued firing off questions. "You... You're one of the Academy creeps, aren't you? Let me out of here, or you'll regret it!"

A menacing grin formed on the instructor's face as he continued wrapping the fiber wire around the girl. "Oh, not exactly. I'm just the waterboy who makes sure the keybladers in training are in tip-top fighting condition. And I would appreciate it if you didn't call them creeps-" at that moment, the instructor yanked hard on the rope, tightening it to the point of choking the poor prisoner. He eased the tension slightly, then tied the loose ends into a beautiful knot. "There are many things I regret, miss. However, I'm certain that letting you out will be one of them. Now... I have a couple questions to ask you." He stood in front of the girl and summoned his keyblade. "So... What's your name? And why do you intend on purging the worlds in light?"

Meanwhile, on the other side of the cockpit door....

Ghost was quietly listening in to the exchange between Raidyn, Indy, Toshi, Brooklyn, then decided to shrug it off as he made his way towards one of the door. As it opened, the room on the other side was revealed to be a bedroom. Lying on the crisp white bed was his girlfriend Rei, resting peacefully as the nearby nightlight bathed her in a warm, golden glow. Seeing that she was ok, Ghost turned around and face the rest of the students. "Well, they sort of are," He added, "I mean, Keyblade Legend Sora and Riku are as close as anyone can get to being a god, considering what they've accomplished."

(Gee, freaking all of my notifications were from this RP today. IDK what to make Lucas say at this point.)

(I FEEL YA MAN. But don't worry, I've got a plan.)

While the others were conversing amongst themselves, Joel was dozing off in a nearby chair, taking a much needed nap until the story continued on.

The cloaked girl continued to glare at Striker. "What will happen if I don't answer your questions?" She knew it wouldn't end well for her if she kept silent, but she couldn't share the secrets of the organization with Academy scum like this guy. "I don't intend on giving up any information."

"You've got a point..." Indy shrugged in response to Ghost, oblivious to what was about to go on inside the room right next to them. "I've heard the stories about them, and they're pretty impressive. Still, they haven't done anything to screw up for us students, right? There's nothing to worry about, Brooklyn."

Lucas looked over at Joel dozing off. "Really Joel? Come on now, we've got important stuff to do and you're sleeping? Pffft." He held his hands behind his back, looking over at Raidyn, Brooklyn, Toshi and Indy chatting. Eh, might aswell talk to them. I'm bored waiting here anyway.

He walked over to them. "So, what're you guys talking about?"

And girls." He shot Raidyn another look, trying not to laugh at his friend. "That guy's the one talking more about girls, though."

"Bah, whatever Brooklyn. You don't know what you're talking about," Raidyn said, laying back in his seat and chewing on this ice cream stick like a toothpick. "You gotta learn to be more like the rest of us. There's no need to talk like you're some victim or something. Relax. You too, Ghost," Raidyn then said, looking in the direction of his classmate with the white armor. "Don't worry about Rei, I'm sure she'll be fine."

Rei suddenly was pressed into Ghost's back.

"I want pancakes. Can you make me pancakes, with plenty of maple syrup?" She asked.

Zion landed in her courtyard. The statues of friends (and a lover or two) flanked the paths to the front door. As she passed her friends, most of who have already passed away, she entered he front door. The green nine tailed foxes ran around on patrols or playing, and a few other mythological creatures also roamed her mansion. All were denizens of a world she had an alliance with, and as they comforted her with words (those who spoke) or small gestures of kindness, the girl made her way to the master bedroom.

Laying in their magnificent bed, fast asleep and unblemished, was Xion. The woman in a coma for years, her body was enchanted to avoid aging or further harm, and every time Zion visited she would energize the spell again. She had no other choice, not until she broke the curse. True love's kiss wasn't working. Everything she tried failed. Someone had sent that foe, sent that weapon. It was destroyed, and Zion knelt at Xion's bedside. Taking her wife's hand in her own, she pressed it to her cheek and silently cried.

"Wake up...please...wake up..."
