Zion sighed.

"Computer. Heighten encryption so oy Highwind can recieve my transmissions. I dont need that two bit hotshot idiot of anstudent causing me to commit murder, nevermind how filled with light my heart is."

"Done. Blizzard level encryption heightened to Snowfire level. Quantum comm system online. Line is secure."

"Excellent. Connect same line with Overwatch." She waited a moment. "Ghost, Striker. Keep an eye on Rei. Her mom is on Twilight - and remembrr, Xion is mom. I'm 'mommy' alright?"

[Pangoro "Sen" 445]

 

Radio fuzz, then a voice. The teacher. "God damn it..." He muttered, picking up his radio. "Yo, teach. Brooklyn spitting fire into your radio, and into the sky, the unidentified flying object. I ride alone." He responded, hanging up the mic, his cooling finally finished, he took the opportunity and shifted back into it's normal form and unloaded again, zooming across space at the same breakneck speed from before, he made it within the atmosphere of Twilight Town before he shifted to his other, thicker ship. He came in fast and hard, slowing barely slowing to an appropriate speed for being just below the atmosphere. He put the ship into the sky's jet stream and waited for the rest of the group to appear as he moved around the globe in the fast stream of wind.

 

 

"Ten-four, mon capitan." He sarcastically said the last lines, laughing a little. He was already bored waiting for the others.

 

Cid noticed the ship zoom off of the radar, and he made an educated guess as to the reason. "Brooklyn, you just sped your ship right up to Twilight Town, didn't you? Well, guess that's no problem! We'll Seeya there!" He stopped the voice, and looked around on the control panels. "Lessee here...any kind of stuff like that thing Brooklyn did...?"

[Guest]

Cid noticed the ship zoom off of the radar, and he made an educated guess as to the reason. "Brooklyn, you just sped your ship right up to Twilight Town, didn't you? Well, guess that's no problem! We'll Seeya there!" He stopped the voice, and looked around on the control panels. "Lessee here...any kind of stuff like that thing Brooklyn did...?"

"Not exactly, my ship is set with high-speed boosters so I just flew there." Brooklyn replied, locking his microphone into on position, he put on his music- the larger ship had a decent radio system on it for nice combat music. The music blared... 

 

 

He got out of the chair of the ship and walked over to the living quarters, opening the mini-fridge, he pulled out a large bottle of soda and began to drink it. He went over to his own personal room and put on a new pair of boots and gloves, combed and jelled his hair again, and inspected his Keyblade for damage- it never did have any, and he knew it never would, but it made him feel better.

Ember smiled at Annistha. "Cool. And don't worry about it, I'm generally pretty good with names." Ember said in her usual peppy tone. She looked over to Raidyn and Toshi. They were sitting across from her, buckled into their seats. "And you two? What are your names?" The ninja trainee asked politely. She figured she might as well get to know thee people. After all, they'd hopefully be comrades for a long time coming.

Somrene was seated next to Cid in the cockpit, listening to the back and forth radio chatter. He didn't participate, but kept his eyes on the gauges and the space in front of them. Somrene interjected when Cid went looking for any boosters. "Don't waste your time mate. He likely got those boosters custom installed, and all the standard Highwind blueprints don't use boosters of that caliber. Unless someone was messing with the ship before we got on, it's unlikely. We'd be better off throwing people off the ship so we'd be lighter." Somrene said, taking control of the ship while Cid was looking for the booster button. He hadn't meant to be rude, and he hoped his joke at the end would help his words be taken lightly. Then again, his tone had been kind of serious. Oh well, either Cid took offense, or he didn't. It'd end up fine.

Rei yawned and stretched. "Pancakes? I'm tired. Where's your bed?" She asked, rubbing her eyes adorably. "I want to go to sleep.." the poor girl looked exhausted for some reason...one could only imagine what she had done before to get exhausted.

 

"Hey Highwind. I'm detecting a contact speeding away, breaking the Speednof Showoff. Please verify it's one of yours before I alert the proper authorities and have it intercepted."

 

 

 "Aye Aye!"

 "Yo, Brooklyn, this you? This is the Highwind! Do you copy?"

 

"Ten-four, mon capitan." 

 

"Ghost, Striker. Keep an eye on Rei. Her mom is on Twilight - and remembrr, Xion is mom. I'm 'mommy' alright?"

 

"Brooklyn, you just sped your ship right up to Twilight Town, didn't you? Well, guess that's no problem!"

Ghost unsurprisingly could resist Rei's adorable and pleading gaze as she asked him where the bedroom was. "I'll carry you there, dearie." he gently whispered, then cradled the girl in his arms as he got off the pilot seat. "Instructor?"

 

"Go ahead and relax, Ghost." Striker quietly informed him. "This is my ship afterall. I can take over from here." With Ghost walking away towards the living quarters in the back of the ship, Striker breathed a quiet sigh of relief. "Alone at last... Perfect." He took full advantage of the lull in action as his hands danced on the digital consoles in front of him. "Saving radar cross-signature, associate as friendly... Calculate initial trajectory speed... Scram-floor 2 huh? Not bad for a Warden, Hotshot... Not bad at all. Too bad a Six-Niner will leave us all in the dust though..." He continued doing maintenance work on the electronics while ignoring the radio chatter, at least until Zion hailed him directly.

 

"Ghost, Striker. Keep an eye on Rei. Her mom is on Twilight - and remembrr, Xion is mom. I'm 'mommy' alright?"

The instructor reached for the mic. "Striker here. Ten-four. I'll keep an eye on the wanker for you, 'mommy'."

 

Finished with the radar maintenance and final weapons check, he glanced over to the Highwind and saw Somrene reaching for the controls. He shrugged of the sighting, and continued holding formation near the Highwind until it reached their destination: Twilight Town.

"Striker, Overwatch to Highwind captain. Be advised, Twilight Town is dead ahead. I hope you know how to land that ship."

"Ooooh, goody! Alright, getting ready!" Cid readied everything that needed to be ready for landing. "Alright guys! Landing in an estimate of five minutes! Next stop: Twilight Town!"

Ember smiled at Annistha. "Cool. And don't worry about it, I'm generally pretty good with names." Ember said in her usual peppy tone. She looked over to Raidyn and Toshi. (Ember asks for Raidyn's and Toshi's names) "Oh hey, another new face. I don't think we met before. My name's Raidyn," the energetic blonde said, jabbing his thumb to his chest. "I'd shake your hand like I always do for new people I meet, but I don't want my electricity to travel through my hand and shock you. Heh," He then gestured to the girl beside him. "And this is my friend Toshi."

 

"Erm... H-Hello." Toshi managed to stammer out, fidgeting with her fingers and losing a bit of her composure.

 

"So how about you? What's your name? Ooh, and how strong are you too?" Raidyn asked. The last part of his request was essential to the new found knowledge he wanted to collect from his new friend.

"Ooooh, goody! Alright, getting ready!" Cid readied everything that needed to be ready for landing. "Alright guys! Landing in an estimate of five minutes! Next stop: Twilight Town!"

Not hearing a response on the Highwind but spotting the tell-tale flaring of the nose, Striker went through a well rehearsed procedure as he pulled the throttle back and tapped several digital buttons on the console. Still staying in formation on the Highwind's wing, the instructor decided to give a courtesy notice to the pilot as he reached for the mic. "Overwatch to Highwind, be advised. We're on your wing and will follow you down until you find a suitable landing zone. Happy landing!"

 

As the warm, golden red clouds that were bathing in the sunset of the world quickly enveloped the ships, Striker kept his eyes glued to the Highwind as he looked out the cockpit, not even bothering looking at the instruments as the ship started to shake rhythmically.

[Guest]

"Ooooh, goody! Alright, getting ready!" Cid readied everything that needed to be ready for landing. "Alright guys! Landing in an estimate of five minutes! Next stop: Twilight Town!"

"Make sure to remember the landing gear, kid, don't wanna blow you and your friends in there sky-high." Brooklyn tacked on, brushing his teeth afterwards. He had taken the time to hastily put a model of the Boeing 777, one of the models in his pack, it sat on the table quite nicely, although it lacked paint and many other necessary things to make it pretty, but it would have taken him time to find the tools in his house and come back, time he didn't know that he had. Laughing, he walks over to the back end of the plane- he had set it to autoland when the other ships were within 7000 yards or so. He enjoyed the soaring winds from the stream trying to blow him back into his ship.

Rei snuggled up to Ghost.

"Are we there yet?"

 

Zion was staring at a photograph now. It was of herself, Xion, and Rei. The Clock Tower pose. Side by side with ice cream. Soren had taken the picture. She smiled softly as the intel of the students' arrival at Twilight Town was confirmed.

"Alright kids. Kick the tires and light the fires; job to do, lets not waste time. And if you break my home, you all are dead meat. If Roxas doesn't kill you all first." She paused. "I'll meet up with you all sometime...Mrs. de Wynter out."

 

She stood. As the bridge began to dim, she opened a Dawngate, ready to go see her slumbering wife.

Ember listened to Raidyn and Toshi's introductions. She gave a kind smile to Toshi, before moving back to Raidyn's energetic self. "Me? Pretty dang strong if I do say so myself." She said in a kind of fake arrogance. "But seriously, I know my way around a fight. Personally trained by two high-ranking officers in the second keyblade war. So... yeah. " She said. Ember summoned Wutai Pride, making sure it was a fair enough distance from people so that'd wouldn't hit anyone. She looked it over. "Pride of my life right here. Lots of work went into using this." She said, continuing her conversation to Raidyn.

Somrene double-checked the landing preparation. Satisfied with Cid's work, he went over the radio. "Highwind to Overwatch. Landing is a go. Will touch down in an approximate three minutes." Somrene said, keeping their landing steady as they descended towards a runway. Then he heard Brooklyn's interjection. "Highwind to Brooklyn. Contrary to belief, but not everybody is an idiot. Everything is secure. Landing gear included."

"Good to hear. Re-entry is much harder than exit, so buckle everyone down and get ready." He replied, the Overwatch had went to land, so Brooklyn did as he would, and showboated. Dropping from the ship, which flew off to land hidden somewhere, the golden clouds glowed as he divebombed into the area, as he neared the land, he threw his keyblade and transformed it into a glider, he was sub-par with the glider, but he never knee why. Maybe because he rarely used it. "Whatever." He muttered, he was good enough to catch himself with it and fly over onto the top of the clocktower. Returning the Keyblade to normal form, he took a minute to breathe after that exelerating stunt. After the moment, he walked down the stairs and into the train station.

Raidyn examined Ember's blade with great interest. "Hmph hmph, yeah that's a fine piece of work alright," Raidyn nodded and he stuck his own hand out in front of him. WIth a flick of the wrist, his own Keyblade appeared in his hand, pointing straight forward, its full appearance visible to the ninja beside him. "This is my Keyblade: Shockwave. Not exactly an original design; I mostly based it off one of Old Man Roxa's weapons, True Light's Flight. Cept for the color and lightning bolts of course. Heh," Raidyn added, poking the tips of his weapon's teeth. "Still, it's not the look I'm focused on. It's the power. I've trained a lot with this blade, and I got a whole arsenal of tricks to show off, especially with my Thunder spell. That's my specialty." Raidyn sent his Keyblade away, now putting his hands behind his head. "So then, about that name... and about that strength..." Raidyn said, still not knowing the name of his new friend.

Zale watched and listened to the conversation between Ember and Raidyn with apparent interest, but said nothing.

~*Inside The Nexus*~

"Would you stop?" Annistha said, in the privacy of inside the Nexus Twin's combined Heart. "This people are our allies. Some even friends. Stop marking targets."

Zale chuckled.

"Got to stay on my toes." He said, in a mock innocent tone.

His features then turned more serious.

"And if you think all these people are our friends, you are just kidding yourself."

"Oh, everyone is the enemy now?" Annistha asked her brother, her voice sharp.

"Always has been." Zale answered bluntly. "In the end, all we can count on is each other. It's been that way since the beginning, when we were being tossed around the Academies. No one wanted us, so the only thing I could count on was you."

Annistha fell silent. She had known their being handed to different guardians during their childhood had left Zale a little bitter, but not to this extent.

"Just because no one knew how to handle us as kids doesn't mean people don't care." She finally said, to no response from Zale.

~*Exit Nexus*~

Zale adjusted his seating position and wondered when land fall was. He was ready to bust some heads.

The Gummi Ships landed by the Clock Tower in Twilight Town. After it was safe to leave, Indy made his way out of the ship, and stepped outside. "So, this is what it's like in another world..." He muttered, looking around. It still looked practically the same way it did in all of the pictures that he'd seen of it from back when Sora and his friends visited. "So, uh... Where do we go now, anyway?" He asked.

The Gummi Ships landed by the Clock Tower in Twilight Town. After it was safe to leave, Indy made his way out of the ship, and stepped outside. "So, this is what it's like in another world..." He muttered, looking around. It still looked practically the same way it did in all of the pictures that he'd seen of it from back when Sora and his friends visited. "So, uh... Where do we go now, anyway?" He asked.

After making sure everything was good, he followed Indy in leaving. "I dunno. We probably just look around and find hints about those Light guys or whatever they were called. Maybe slay some Heartless along the way. Something like that." He looked around as well, taking in the view. "Ah...Twilight Town...twilight...the perfect mixture of Light and Darkness! The two conflicting with each other in perfect harmony! 'Tis a beautiful thing!"

Zale thankfully unbuckled himself from his seat and headed for the hatch.

[Nexus Shift]

Annistha turned around and grinned.

"Come on, let's get out there before Indy and Cid hog all the action." She said to Ember, before turning and skipping out.

She stopped outside the ship and took in a deep breath. She and Zale always preferred it here. Peaceful, but still full of excitement.

[Nexus Shift]

Zale sniffed the air and checked the skyline around the ship.

"We'd probably should hit the hot spots of abnormal happenings, like that old mansion and the train line Yen Sid sometimes used to connect this world to his tower." He offered.

Raidyn / Toshi

 

"Look's like we're here. Come on Toshi," Raidyn said.

 

"Right," Toshi responded.

 

The Keyblade wielders stepped out of the Gummi Ship and regrouped with the others already outside. As they all commented about their first impressions of the world itself, Raidyn and Toshi could not help but be in awe of all the new things that surrounded them. Twilight Town was certainly similar to Radiant Garden, what with its tall buiidings and rural landscape, but still, the sunset that seemed to sit in place eternally, the huge clock tower that literally towered over everything else in the town, and just the underlying fact that everything around them was NOT Radiant Garden... it was a lot to take in at once.

 

Still, Raidyn quickly put aside his awe so he could focus on more important matters. "So then Indy, Cid and... I think your name's Nexus," Raidyn was referring to the student he had not talked to yet at all, checking the Gummi's skyline. "Well, anyways, I say the first thing we do is head out and explore! After all, we don't exactly have any idea of where we're going anyway, nor do we have any intel about the Light group, so I don't see another option. Right Toshi?"

 

"W-Well, I don't know. We should at least all stick together though. This is so new and this is also the f-first time we're in an area not safe guarded by the Academy."

 

"I see your point. What do you guys think?" Raidyn asked the others.

"You have a sister?" (Zale shifts into Annistha) "Whoa! What the..." Raidyn, even when being in the same room and ship as Nexus beforehand, had never noticed this strange ability that he/she apparantly had. "Wow... that's pretty strange," Raidyn said, crossing his arms. "But maybe since Nexus is made out of two people... then Nexus is twice as strong as a fighter. Heh, now that sounds like a challenge," Raidyn said to himself, grinning like a fox.
