Lucas raised his hand up. "We'll follow you Sir!"

"Hah, I'd say that's a good enough reason. And don't worry; you'll get your fight soon," Joel added in response to Raidyn's comment about only fighting training dummies.

He followed his friends as they boarded the Gummi ship. "Maybe we can visit all the worlds we miss after this mission." How many worlds are there, anyway? he thought to himself. "And Cid can take us there!"

 

"I will? You think so? I really hope so," Raidyn said. Man, I really really hope so. I need to practice using the Thunder spell on targets that will actually move around the battlefield. Especially if I want to master it so I can move on to Thundara, and then Thundaga. Then I'll be electrifying on a whole new level, Raidyn thought.

 

(Joel nominates Cid to pilot the ship) "Well, he did say he's done flying simulations for this type of deal. I don't know anybody else that could. What about you Toshi?" Toshi shook her head. "Alright then".

"Aye!" Raidyn enthusiastically said, with Toshi sounding off at the same time as he did, albeit quieter than the blonde's response.

"Hah, alright. Aye. Just try to fly smoothly while I'm sleeping," he said with a laugh.

Yeah, I guess you can." Brooklyn muttered as he entered the Gummi Ship. "I'll be taking a nap if anyone needs me."

Both Striker and Ghost, despite being in two different areas in the gummi ship Overwatch, breathed a sigh of relief at the same time as they saw Brooklyn enter the Highwind. "Looks like Hotshot finally cooled down a bit." the heartless Instructor quietly remarked, thankful for the background engine noise drowning out his breath. "One less Rouge I need to sweat over."

 

Ghost took a deep breath and slowly exhaled again, still worried about everyone in the Highwind. "Hope he doesn't stir up any trouble." Remembering the usual procedures, he started messing with the radio until it could communicate with the Highwind. Locking in the frequency, he contemplated hailing the ship and messing with whoever decided to be pilot, but refrained from the thought as he returned his head forward.

"If you can get us there with out Zale hurling, you got our vote, Cid." She said, poking fun at her brother.

There was a brief mental discussion inside the Nexus before Annistha spoke."If you can get us there with out Zale hurling, you got our vote, Cid." She said, poking fun at her brother.[Nexus Shift]"And if you make me hurl more then once, I start aiming, capiche?" Zale growled before finding a seat and strapping in where he and Annistha. Could still watch and hear just about everything.

"Well, no promises on the hurling, but I assure you, it definitely won't be my fault!" He says, as he jumps into the captain's seat, looking over everything that he should be looking over. "Lessee here...check...check...check..." He begins doing this over and over...

Rei was aboard Highwind."...why do they keep giving us this old design? There's way cooler things. There's also little room." She muttered. "I mean, if mommy has the Forward Unto Dawn, why can't the Academy actually spring for some nice Gummi ships? Not like they'd have a shortage of donations for firetruck's sake."

Sighing, she entered the cockpit and plopped into Ghost's lap.

"Forward Mister Sulu! Engines to full, power to phasers! Set them phasers to FUN!"

 

Zion watched them enter the Highwind.

"Riku, we need to just, retire the Highwind. It's been around for fifty years. But then again, my Forward Unto Dawn has been around for a lot longer, but hey, it's actually a keepsake. So there's that. But really, a Highwind?" she sighed. "Couldn't we have given them something...nicer?"

Ghost was patiently waiting for the Highwind to take off as he played around with several controls, then was completely shocked when Rei decided to plop into his lap. In a break of discipline, he let off the most unmanly yelp as Rei decided to snuggle up with him. "Forward Mister Sulu! Engines to full, power to phasers! Set them phasers to FUN!" the pink haired cutie playfully demanded of her pilot.

 

Ghost chuckled. "Dearie, with the way this ship is oriented, pushing that throttle forward will make us crash into the Highwind and engulf us in a big fireball. That would make for an anti-climatic way to end a story before it began." 

 

Striker, who still at the loading ramp below the cockpit, heard the scream and was actually scared until he heard Rei's voice. Afterwards, the instructor was confused more than anything as his face scrunched up trying to make sense of the obvious breach in security. "Wait... But... How did she sneak past me?!" Thankful that it was someone he could have trusted, the instructor decided to give his student a hard time "Get a room you two!" he yelled into the ship.

"Make me!" Ghost yelled back before breaking into a laugh.

"Nice!" Ember ran over to the Highwind, checking out the exterior. "They gave us a super sweet gummi ship! Now I don't have to fear for my life with Somrene flying!" Ember said excitedly, putting in a jab at her brother in the end. Somrene walked past her, into the ship.

"Hey Cid, mind having a co-pilot?" He said as he boarded the ship. Ember's face paled. She jogged up into the gummi ship, taking a seat next to Zale. She buckled up, then turned to the boy.

"Hay, name's Ember? Yours?" She asked, as Somrene continued towards the cockpit, his question to Cid still standing.

Ghost, aboard his own gummi ship The Overwatch, spotted another figure in the cockpit bubble of the Highwind. Cid heard the voice and pressed the talk button, "Dude, enough with the official-sounding lingo. Nobody gets it. Except me, Kapp'n Cid! Also, yeah, I'm done with the checking of stuff. Just waiting for everybody else to make sure they're ready!" Cid says this as he reclines in his chair, waiting for everybody else.

While Ghost was looking he noticed another figure a few feet in front of the ship

"Hold up. Stop everything...," he said. He paused with a sad face.

Overwatch looked and saw a person with brown hair and green eyes. 

He looked like he belonged to a school just like theirs.

"Wait....Is that! That can't be!," Ghost said.

"Who is it?" asked Overwatch.

"It's....It's.... Yuji," Ghost said.

"Who's Yuji?" Overwatch aked.

"Yuji...yuji...is j-just a old friend."

Memories of Yuji flashed through Ghost's mind. Yuji was  friends with Ghost but then he did something very bad, that caused many to be injured..

Furthermore Overwatch is a ship not a person, which brings me to the fact of reading: read more carefully and more closely if you really want to start roleplaying, as even a single missed sentence can mess up your response. A for effort, but you need to read past roleplays and get a sense of how to. Its an interactive story, but one with set rules. You can make a character but you must never put things in their past concerning another person's character without collaborating with the person. Godmodding is bad, in any and all forms - even if the godmodding is to combat godmodding.Just some pointers and info.)

Thats what we call "godmodding" ajd it is highly frowned upon. Furthermore Overwatch is a ship not a person, which brings me to the fact of reading: read more carefully and more closely if you really want to start roleplaying, as even a single missed sentence can mess up your response.A for effort, but you need to read past roleplays and get a sense of how to. Indy boarded the Gummi ship, and took a look around the cockpit. There were a few seats in the cockpit, and it looked like there was a room next to the cockpit that probably had space for everyone else. He entered the room in the back, which had a few seats, and some tables. "Hm... At least the old guys know how to make a ship comfortable." He sat down, buckled himself in, and sighed. I'm actually leaving Radiant Garden... I thought I'd be here for the rest of my life. "Hey, are we leaving yet?" He called into the cockpit, hoping that the captain would hear him.

"Y-Yes, very exciting. I can't wait to see Twilight Town." Toshi replied, obviously being less fidgety than her exuberant friend and instead sitting quietly with her hands folded in her lap.

"Highwind to Overwatch, we're heading out!" Cid's voice boomed over the radio aboard the Overwatch. As the gummi ship Highwind took off, Instructor Striker retreated within the Overwatch as the loading ramp closed behind him, sealing the inside with a hushed and gentle hiss. The instructor managed to enter the cockpit as the hum of the engines started to get louder. "Fly wingman for the Highwind, Ghost. Know your position for this strike team."

 

"I understa-" It was at this point that a gentle alarm ringed on one of the nearby consoles that was flickering between red and yellow. Both Ghost and Striker looked over the console and saw a pulsating orange dot on the silhouette of their ship. Striker's face scrunched up as he walked over to the alerting display and noticed the location of the blip. "Undermount weapon pylons" he softly remarked to Rei and Ghost, "either a missile is improperly loaded, or something extra just got slapped on. Ghost?"

"Master arm switch is off, sir. Must be the second option."

"Open the ramp. I need to find out what this anomaly is."

 

Ghost nodded as Striker walked off the cockpit and descended down the ramp, then immediately turned around and walked under the ship. As the roar of the engines died down to a loud whisper, lo and behold, he saw Brooklyn latched onto the Overwatch with a stupidly wide grin on his face. Utterly shocked at how he could have sworn that he saw the boy entering the Highwind, he nonetheless tried to restrain himself from laughing as he tilted his head to the side with a smile forming on his face. "What are you doing, Mr. Hotshot? For a smarty pants, you should know that latching on to a streamlined ship going at supersonic speeds isn't really the brightest thing to do."

"Too anxious?! No such thing my friend! Like I keep telling you, this is the first time that I'm going to see a different world. I couldn't BE more excited!!" Raidyn fired back.

"It's my first time leaving Radiant Garden too, you know." Indy sighed. "You're not the only one who's excited. I'm just better at containing myself than you are. I'm sure everyone here's excited, anyway. Right, Toshi?" He asked the timid girl, trying to get to know her a little better, too.
