I hate to ask you this, but if you can do this, it would be REALLY helpful:

Type out EVERYTHING about that dream. ALL the details, EVERYTHING that you can remember. Also: If it's recurring like you say it is, keep a notepad handy before you fall asleep next time. When you wake up, really write down everything that you can remember.

But as of right now, preliminary analysis would say that maybe on a subconscious level you deeply care about this person. Another way of interpreting this is that the dream is a premonition. I won't say more until I can get better details. Or it could be your mind trying to wake itself up for reasons like if you're suffocating in your blanket.

I've heard that through Lucid dreaming(ability to control your dreams) nightmares can be reduced but I've heard it's hard and can lead to more horrifying dreams for starters.Maybe you should try talking about this with someone close to you like a family member or a friend

Have you considered it to be a possible premonition, a warning? Perhaps a means to try to save your friend? These things are possible, but I sincerely hope these dreams will past and nothing bad will happen to your friend.

I've had a lot of nightmares a year or so back... A recurring one was where my mother would die. It was horrible I woke up crying and sweating like crazy!

I just went on, didn't do anything special (at least not that I can think of), and now I rarely have a nightmare at all ( and never about my mother or anyone dying)... *knock knock* ( before I jinx myself).

So the best advice I can give you is, just let it happen and go on. It's only a dream.

Maybe you can talk to your friend about it, maybe that would help :)

"To dream about the death of a loved one suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what you like about them. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, the dream indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life anymore."

- from here

Of course this is just one dream interpretation site out of many, but it's been 100% accurate for me on every dream/meaning I've checked.

Umm...Ok...Well I can tell you that my memory not that great but I do remember alot of what happen in the dream(sometimes my dream changes but this is where it mostly take place)...We planned to meet at the park where we met like always. I borrowed my aunts phone so I call for a pick up because I broke mine 2yrs ago. He brought his dog with him and I bend down to cuddle it. We were walking together, eating ice cream, laughing when his dog's leash was loose and his dog started running. He ran after him and so did I. Since he runs a little faster than me, he was able to catch up with his dog when...when...*starts crying again* He got hit by a car...His blood splatter all over the car and me...his blood were on my hands...Though...as he got hit by the car...he said something but...I couldnt here it...Then I wake up...Thats it...

I expected you to say that you don't remember much about the dream. 5 minutes after you wake up, if you're not trying to actively remember the dream, 90% will already be forgotten.

That's... Disturbing. Some psychologists will say that the objects that you see in your dreams are either your mind trying to allude to something else or to be taken at face value [in other words, your friend being hit by a car could either mean literally, or as in he will be 'hit' with some life-changing event so much so that he will not be a complete person afterwards, such as after the death of a loved one, abuse, trauma, etc.]

It sounds so logical as to what your dreams are saying, and yet the symbolic possibilities are endless. If it will comfort you, you can subtly try and prevent this from happening [if this is a premonition] by taking some steps. Like, if you do hang out with him and he really does walk his dog and you end up at a park, you can do something as subtle as saying "Remember to watch your grip on that leash!" or step it up to "Hey, I have a feeling something bad is gonna happen. Just please remember to keep a tight grip on that leash for me, ok? I don't want anything bad happening."

Call this coincidence or whatever, but this reminds me of that one dream I had where I got a phone call and it was my mom sobbing and wailing and basically telling me my dad died because someone ran a red light and side struck him. I woke up so scared, and I remember the next day waking up extra early just to say to him "Hey dad. Be careful on the roads, ok? Remember that there are a lot of idiot drivers out there." Later that day, he came home and told our family how some idiot ran a red light and almost crashed into his vehicle while on the way home and how he decided to actually look both ways before starting to cross the intersection. He said it was a near miss [inches from hitting the front of the car], but that was an eye opener for me.

Wow, this must all be rough on you, I'm really sorry you have to go through these kinds of things.  And well, while everyone here has posted excellent answers to help ease your mind about your dream, I figured I'd also post something.  The thing about dreams is that they always mean something, be it good or bad.  As people have said here, it could be a premonition, or it could be that you have very deep feelings for him and they are now beginning to surface.  The key here is to keep in mind that a dream is just that: a dream.  But dreams can be helpful, because you can be able to watch out for the person you care about, and you can feel more attached to them. As I read about Javelin's post, I was very impressed when he talked about his dream and how in real life it was inches away from happening.  The key thing here is that he acted on instinct and told his Dad to be careful.  Anyways, to make it short and simple, if you want to ease your mind about this, talk about it with a family member, or if you trust this friend of yours enough, then tell him about the dream.  The important thing here is that you stay calm in the face of adversity, and be there for your friend always.  I hope this was able to be of help. :)

I had this big long sob story ready to post, thinking maybe it would help, but my browser closed out somehow when I was almost done, so I'm taking it as a sign that I shouldn't post it because it was gone when I got back to this site, but for now *hugs*

Ok...I think thats helpful. Yeah I'll do that! If that day ever comes I'll prepare myself so he won't get hurt! But to be honest...you may or may not believe me but the dreams and nightmare that I had when I was small...most of them come true...Thats what I'm afraid of...that it will come true...and I tried not ignore it...I just hoped it will never happen to him...I still wonder though...What did he said when he got hit? Why can't I remember that? Why didn't I hear that?

As I said, if this really is a recurring dream, keep a pencil and some paper nearby and when you wake up from the nightmare, jot down as much as you can while replaying the dream in your head. it will help you remember it.

Thank you...But the thing is...I already told him but he said" Don't worry. It will never happen. It was just a bad dream thats all. Just a nightmare. I'll be fine. Nothing bad will happen to me or you. Everything will be fine. Besides I doubt that will ever happen. Don't let this get to you. You must be strong ok?"...I tried to be strong but its just so hard to ignore...I just want him to be ok...

Wow, you really do care about him.  And from what I'm hearing from you, he must have very strong feelings for you as well.  All the more reason for me to wish you the best of luck, and think positive, because everything will be all right with the both of you. :)

So you told him. That's good! Already, you may have just altered his course of fate [again, if that was a premonition] by informing him of this dream and the situation that played out. Now that he knows, if it EVER does happen, that split second where he thinks "wait, didn't someone tell me something bad about this?" might be a life saver.

I kept mine quiet because and I quote from my dad: "Dreams are bulls**t. They're just dreams, nothing else. Quit being a baby." Yeah, well this baby just saved your freaking life and you didn't even KNOW it. I deserve a cookie for that... -.-'

I was told dreams are based off of things you saw and what mood you're in, so don't be scared, everything is ok, think of what you want your dream to be tonight and maybe something good will come.

Well, if both of you have such strong feelings for each other, they're bound to be something that surpasses normal friendship.  Give each other a chance, and who knows?  But you won't get anywhere unless you try.  This comes from the guy who's a sucker for love, and well, I've been in a relationship with my dear Inori for almost 3 years, so yeah, you get my drift. xD

Don't be afraid because they may be wrong but don't completely discard them because I had a premonition about one of my friends(a girl) getting raped and it happened and one about another friend(once again another girl) getting dumped by her boyfriend and that happened. I think you should talk to a psychologist if it keeps happening.
