Yeah. But the thing is. They can't be risking money to make a lesser version of one of the games that's supposed to keep them from going bankrupt.

what make that lesser? it could be a different experience just see KH HD looks gorgeous

The time and labour it would take to create it twice over for the PS3 and Wii U wouldn't be worth it, ultimately they'd be putting in extra resources to make a second version of a game they're already developing. 

 

I'd obviously like KH3 to be on the PS3 since I have that and won't have to slap down a load of cash to get a new console, but in terms of business over pleasing fans, creating two copies of a game just so people with lower quality systems can also play is a waste of money for a company who is financially struggling already.   They don't have the cash or resources to piss around with.  

 

+PS it would be a lesser quality  because they would have developed the game with improved hardware abilities and have to downgrade it so just it'll play on the previous systems.

Well I'm pretty sure the main reason that KH3 isn't on the Wii-U is because the Wii-U is so different than the Xbox Juan and PS4. Tetsuya would have to come up with a completely different gameplay system.

I'm not against them porting it, but I don't think it will happen. If the game is truly being developed for the PS4 and X1, then it is being built on completely different system specifications; the PS4 and X1 are nearly identical to develop for which makes porting between the two easy, as opposed to the Wii U which is a completely different architecture. 

 

Another factor to consider is the game size on a disc. Both of the new systems are using Blu-Ray, whereas the Wii U isn't. While this hasn't prohibited games being ported or developed in the past (Mass Effect 2 and FFXIII on the 360) it's another barrier that only makes Wii U development more expensive. 

 

The best one can hope for in this situation is that the Wii U has a strong next couple of years. The more systems sold, the more likely Square might make a profit on porting the game.

Well they are releasing hd collections to PS3 so everyone on PS3 can enjoy it on there.

It is just that it is next-gen. We only can wait for confirmation for downgraded versions for PS3, WiiU and PC.

They just want us to get PS3 and PS4. This isn't right like all the handheld games.

but anyone who doesn't have a DS console has missed out on half the series, so i don't see a point in complaining that one of the games won't be on a nintendo console. However i would rather have it on the wii u and ps4 than the xbox one

The DirectX11 is a lame excuse.it has the same powers as opengl. It is also stated as a next gen so why not.

I would love to get a WiiU also to play old wii games.

KH3 could be on the WiiU, but the issue is that the WiiU is not as powerful. This just makes the porting more difficult of a process because they have to scale back. However, I think that it is smart to have any big game on all 3 consoles. The WiiU may just lose out because of the way Nintendo handles their policies when it comes to 3rd party publishers.

they would have to completely modify the games control system and programing to do this. A port for the wii u would be the equivalent of making a new game and it would be expensive to pull off.

 

not to mention most people didnt buy a wii u to save money to get a next gen console (ps4) so a release on the wii u would have minimal sales, if it was easy to port (if wiiu supported directx11) then it wouldnt pose a problem and it would be a good idea, but thats not the case its more complicated than you make it seem.

 

maybe a wii u port of the ps3 kh games (1.5 and 2.5) wouldnt be to far fetched though, that could happen.

not really, the wii u runs opengl which is the same graphics engine that the ps4 has. The hardware difference for the wii u and other next-gen consoles isn't half as big as it was with the wii,ps3,360. The wii u is perfectly capable of running next-gen games but since wii u games haven't been selling well, developers don't want to make games just yet. The wii-u is next gen.

It's just a controller. Despite how big it is, it's actually about as light as a 360 controller and is very comfortable to use. the screen is used if you wan't to do off-tv play and can be used as a menu or something if you want to play on the tv. It can be used as a top and bottom screen type thing with the ds ,as we've seen in nintendo land.
