Cloud has two games (one where he's not involved gameplay wise) and a movie. Lightning has three games (one to her own) and became the first FINAL FANTASY character to appear in another numbered game. Lightning wasn't even in XIII-2 as a playable character,it was Serah and Noel,Lightning was playable only in that dumb DLC Cloud wasn't just limited to FF,he made it to Kingdom Hearts,anime OVA of his game,movies,countless amount of merchandises,he was used to showcase the power of the Ps3 in a tech demo,he's a much popular figure even outside of video games Lightning was just in 3 games,and wasn't even playable in the second and wasn't the spotlight of the first. Did Lightning have her own movie?Did Lightning have OVA or as many merchandises as Cloud? I've played XIII-2 for over 90 hours,and that beginning doesn't count because it was heavily scripted, and that DLC was stupid Why did you accuse me of not playing it when you didn't even see my PSN account that has trophies from the game? A player could be the greatest ever, or be the most successful ever but when they're done playing eventually someone else becomes the face of the franchise. A player could be the greatest ever, or be the most successful ever but when they're done playing eventually someone else becomes the face of the franchise. Being the face of the franchise doesn't even necessarily mean you're the best currently either. That's temporarily playable not fully playable And still,why accuse me of not playing the game just because I missed one thing even though I played the game for like 90+ hours and finished almost all side quests and got all Paradox endings in the game? Because they more often then not in anything Final Fantasy and when people see them they'll say, "oh yeah FF!" (inb4 they are mascots not faces wah wah). I'll admit that Cloud was some sort of poster boy for Square Enix down the years but that's only due to how popular FF7 was at the time and how many loved the game. Lightning however, is not a poster girl that people wanted and she has been forced down our throats and we are supposed to deal with it. Dissidia 012: Who is bang in the middle? By the way, I'm pretty sure that the face of a franchise is the character most associated to it. It's not about who's in more games, or who the fan base loves more, or any of that. It's about which is the character is thought of by the most people when they hear the words Final Fantasy.
