Shulk 8,623 Posted February 27, 2014 http://kotaku.com/nintendo-killing-online-services-for-wii-ds-1532216462 Come ooon, this stops us from being able to do a lot of stuff. DQIX items, trading in Pokemon... Crap. Also, better transfer your Wii VC games over to Wii U now, or you won't ever be able to.

Kaneki Ken 1,516 Posted February 27, 2014 It will suck, no more pokemon trading. Meaning, we have to buy the opposite games, plus pokemon colosseum, and a gamecube.

But still, it DOES suck that we can't trade in the older games anymore. Thankfully, I have a Gamecube. I just need to track down Colosseum...

Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted February 27, 2014 Well, this is a bummer and all, but it had to happen sooner or later, right? After all, it takes money to keep these online services going, so if they aren't getting enough money to make things worthwhile, it's time for those services to go away. Raziel 248 Posted February 27, 2014 I better tell my family, they depend on the Wii for Netflix ...It'll still work for Netflix bro. that's after it comes out they should keep it online until the next Super Smash game comes out. Oh, damn. True. I didn't read the article so I have no idea when they're actually shutting it down. But SSB4 comes out this year so a few months of not being able to play SSBB isn't going to kill anybody. It was horrendously laggy and boring by now 4+ years later anyways. King.Mickey 359 Posted February 27, 2014 Getting a Job isn't that easy, especially for those who don't have any past experience to show for themselves or real exp in getting a job. I wanna get one but I have no idea how to start. I can help with that. Unfortunately, in my experience, I found that you're mainly going to have to apply to the extremely busy fast-food restaurants in your area, and you're almost guaranteed a job, because some places are so busy that they are desperate for help. My first job hired me on the spot because of that, and any other place I applied to probably didn't even consider me. It sucks ASS to cook for hundreds of millions of people a day, but hey...It's dough. And work experience.

Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted February 27, 2014 I honestly believe taking away online services from older generations is a good pull in for newer generation consoles. Just about everyone does it. Hell, I'll bet online services on PS3 and 360, will be discontinued in the next two years.

PlayStation 3 still has support ensured until the end of 2016 at least.
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted February 27, 2014 LOL. Some of the PlayStation Portable models still have online services. PlayStation 3 still has support ensured until the end of 2016 at least. Only some, but not many play it still. Like I said, within the next two years, as that's when their support may end. They'll pull away support quick and try to suck you in for their newest product. They have to ensure that they'll get money one way or another.
