Heroes of Excalibur: Honors Age (RP)

(Sorry.. something came up and my post had to come late)

Titus stared at Rin for a second. He was surprised that she would come to him to spar. Usually, he'd spar newbies or train outside. "Awesome. Lets go sparring!" Titus exclaimed. He was really excited and enthusiastic to test his abilities on an opponent either at the same strength or stronger than he was. Titus picked a spot on the large gym floor and waved for Rin to come up to him so they could begin. Titus then looks at his wooden staff. It was a regular staff he got from a friend on his birthday... before a Dark One killed her...

Titus shook his head of these thoughts. He awaited Rin to face him.

Mr. Nelson looked at Rei. "As usual. Late as always," Mr. Nelson says marking Rei as late. "Choose a partner to spar. Or you can go train yourself," Mr. Nelson sighs and says to Rei.

Rei sat up, groaning.

"I tripped twice. Only twice." She sighed, getting up. Retrieving two sparring swords, she spun the blades and watched the practice dummy. It was the spinning one with rods everywbere.

She used a gust of wind to start it, then went at it. Slash, stab. Block, parry. Fall back and fence it. Parry parry riposte...

With a grunt she had blocked two at once, using wind tommake the blows worse. With an effort she threw themmback and took a backstep, the went right back at it. Parry parry slash block. It was a randomized dance of blows and counterblows...one that showed she was not just a clumsy late girl.

Then....she accidently gotntoo heated and with training blades aglow....broke the dummy.

"...a dammit...I'm dead..."

She cowered, already feeling Nelson's indomitable presence lord over her.

I'm late.

For Kazuhiro, those two words had been swirling around in his mind for the past hour. With a hardened expression, he swiftly made his way through the halls of the Academy. He was supposed to be in his second class by now. Even if he barely cared about school as it is--there were other people who would threaten him if he didn't properly attend his classes. If it wasn't for that, he probably would not have come to school at all.

Kazuhiro paused, nearly collapsing over himself. He started to pant, feeling the influence of his Dark One, Izanagi, come over him.

Izanagi was one of the lesser Dark Ones. To others of his kind, he would be referred to as an amateur, or simply a lesser being. But to Kazuhiro, Izanagi was the most powerful being he knew. He knew that Izanagi was more powerful then he seemed to give off; a being who hid in shadows for that exact reason--his power. Every time the being's influence came over him, Kazuhiro found himself kneeling on the ground, panting and sweating.

"D-Dammit...not now, Iza." Kazuhiro mumbled, "I can't have...anyone noticing.." He whispered, sighing with relief as the dark feeling over his heart subsided. With that, Kazuhiro shook as he stood back up, and finally made his way to the gym.

(Again...sorry for posting so late..)

Chase clashed with his future self when he was distracted by Lyssa's calling. "Huh?" "And that's the game." Chase was then punched square in the face by his future self, a blade now at his neck. "Really? I lose because of some chick? This blows..." "Shut up, I know how you feel... or felt... whatever." Chase helped himself up and approached Lyssa with his sword in hand. ("Who is she? She wears the school uniform, but I've never seen her before...Whatever, why should I care?") Chase sighed and scratched the back of his head with his free hand. "All right, I guess I'm up for a fight." Before Chase started anything, he looked back to see his future self listening to music. "Okay~ looks like *I'm* the one fighting. That means no handy caps I guess." Chase jumped back a little, analysing his new opponent. ("I shouldn't need it, but I can create one more stable loop for this battle. If it gets too tough, I'l jump back and help myself out. But first, I wanna see how far I can go.") Chase then suddenly went onto the offensive, rushing toward Lyssa with his sword and slashing towards her legs. The attack was blocked and Chase smirked as he turned his foot slightly, allowing him to pivot himself around Lyssa and hitting her from behind with the back of the blade. "Come on, show me what you got." The other Chase who had tuned out for a moment was listening to some of his favourite tunes through his custom made IPod. He then held out his hands and a pair of red black floating disks, which shared a striking resemblance to a DJ's turntables, appeared. Through turning the discs either backwards or forwards, Chase could travel through time. But no matter what, he would never go forward, only backwards. Making sure that situations play out correctly in the present were easy, but messing up the future, even if undecided, would end with his timeline coming to an end. ("Man, this day is gunna suck.")

(Jegus, such Dave Strider)(...I can't be near anyone else anymore....) Joshua thought with angst. He went away from the others who had come to where he was for 'individual' training, while the gym was for sparring. He had seen it enough times to know what's going on, but Ancitif got stronger every day. It managed its way to others, already whispering into the heart of one of them, and trying to go on. It came up to Chase. "Time is on your side. Will you leave everyone else behind, or ahead?" It spoke to him, just as Joshua managed to get out of line of sight from anyone. He panted, slumped himself down and clenched onto himself as a fetus would. "...Stop...aren't I enough...?""You are the prime victim, bearing the string in which all others are tied. You are the scapegoat, you are the martyr."

Rin sighed, she simply had no other choice but too join Titus. She picked up the sparring sword that she was given towards the begginning of the year and went over to Titus. Well...not really over to him, a good distance away from him.

"I guess I'm ready whenever you are..." she muttered.

She was always unsure about sparring and didn't like it that much, however she no choice this time.

(Sorry if this is short, I'm kinda in a rush.)

(Alright after sparring class, I'm gonna try and speed things up a little)

Titus got in his battle stance. One foot forward with his second back. Staff in front of him and his other hand free. He had taken close quarters combat classes so he was just as good as a regular fighter at the school. So the sword didn't scare him much. Titus took a deep breath. He was prepared.

Let the battle begin.

Titus launched forward to clash with Rin's sword. He made sure he had enough mana  in order to launch a counterattack as a precaution. He was always cautious.

As soon as the two clashed, Rin smirked.

"I can tell you are rather strong, Titus" she said with a smile.

She quickly drew the sword back, lunging towards the boys side. She knew he would stop her however, but she was ready for him too.

Nelson passed her over with a sigh. Stepping back from the destroyed practice dummy, she settled down to watch Titus and Rin fight. She was betting on no one, instead watching and hoping to learn something.

Titus barely managed to dodge Rin's lunge so he ended up rolling onto the floor in recoil of such a fast reflex. "You're not bad yourself!" Titus complimented as he regained composition of himself.

"Shirak!" Titus shouted. Three shards of ice surrounded him. Titus launched one at Rin. However, knowing that she would parry or dodge, he charged in as well lunging his staff forward to strike her abdominal area. The two other shards followed him waiting to be launched.

(Hey Oblivion, could you not control me? That kind of makes it unfair.)

"You wanna see what I got huh?" Lyssa said in a cocky tone. She turned, lifting up her pistol, and pulling the trigger twice. At close range, no normal human could block or evade. He'd be forced to use his magic. A cloner could easily do so, producing another him in front of him to take the bullets for him. On the other hand, a time magic user would probably have to use his magic to slow down time, or possibly move themselves forward through time to the point where the bullets had moved past him. Or, if she was dead wrong, she may have just accidentally killed the boy. Oh well. One less crusader to kill later. As this was all running through her head, Lyssa was running forward again towards Chase, lunging with her sword, before pulling back at the last second to make a low slash at his feet.

The barking gunshots tore her from her watch. She spun to the location, and saw the fighting.

Reacting at a speed honed through years of murdering Dark Ones, she threw her hand out. her innate use of Wind and Light gave her that precision she needed; the bullets would hit what was only a small tornado that appeared. THE bullets thrown into the floor, the tornado shot out in all directions, pushing both combatants away. Rei stood slowly, feeling drained. Such precision with her tornadoes was insane, and she knew it.

Falling back to her knees, she grimaced as the tornado's winds died down.

"Stupid...guns..." she muttered.

Rin managed to dodge the ice shard, however Titus was right behind the shards, and when his spar landed by her side, she froze.

"I guess that means you win..." She said seriously.

"Good Job." She said with a smile.

"You have a pretty good strategy. Better then mine at least. " Rin sighed.

She stepped a good amount away from Titus, bowing slightly.

(Sorry.. Things have been hectic this week)

Titus smiled and undid his spell. "You have pretty good swordsmanship. I can't wait to see what kind of spells you can do!" Titus exclaimed.

Titus looked around the gym to see that there were sparring taking place everywhere. It almost looked like a war. War, Titus thought to himself. He couldn't get that out of his mind. The world was still in a huge war with the Dark Ones obviously winning.

He heard that fighting a regular Dark One was the equivalent of fighting a mid-class honors mage. He was just a high-class basic mage. His drive was to train to be able to defeat Dark Ones easily.

As Titus was swept away in his thoughts, his thought process was broken by a panicking student running to Mr. Nelson. "Sir... It's on fire... Everything's on fire!! Three.. Three Dark Ones set the whole kingdom on fire!! They don the flag of the Emirkol kingdom and they're coming this way!" The student shouted loud enough for everyone to hear. Mr. Nelson's eyes widened. The Chaotic Citadel of Emirkol was a kingdom that was taken over by the Dark Ones a while back. It was said that each of their soldiers were strong enough to fight Wizard Class. What was even worse was that there were 7 powerful Dark Ones at the level of Sage class. "It seems that only 3 came here. Everyone evacuate to the underground tunnels out of this city!" Mr. Nelson shouted to the class.

(I will post the Ranks and Statuses on the Sign-up thread either tonight or tomorrow. Also, if you wish to control an NPC, just PM me about it.)

Well, great.

Not only was Kazuhiro late, but it seemed that something else had happened as well. A student had rushed into the room, not much longer after Kazuhiro had; immediately shouting that another kingdom had come, along with three Dark Ones.

Kazuhiro winced at that. The mention of more Darks caused a stir within Izanagi. He could sense their coming. Hopefully Kazu could keep Izanagi tame while he and the others students (all of whom at this point, were still strangers to him) evacuated the area. If Izanagi tried anything...Kazuhiro would be found out almost immediately.

He grunted, looking around at the other students. So much for coming to class.

Rin froze for a second. Dark ones...the ones that almost took her life.

"T-Titus, you go. I've got to find Suzuki!" Rin said seriously, rushing outside. She probably shouldn't have. Everything was pure chaos.

"Suzuki!" Rin called, looking around.

Suzuki was shocked, loading his pistols again. He knew he could take some of them out. However, he heard someone. He heard Rin.

"She shouldn't be out here...but neither should I..." He muttered, running off to the entrance to the school.

He ran into Rin after a bit.

"Rin! Come on, let's get inside. You don't need to worry about me too much, worry about yourself." He said seriously.

The two scurried inside, Rin rushing over to Titus.

"Let's go!" She exclaimed, grabbing his arm and starting to pull the boy with the two.

"We don't wanna get killed!" She snapped.

March 2, 1301 A.D. The Dark Ones of Emirkol lay siege to Arlolin. Burning livestock and capturing people, only three Dark Ones march towards the Capital.

Titus watched the destruction and chaos that rained down outside as he was dragged away. He would have never figured that the Dark Ones were so strong. To think that only 3 of them could cause this much destruction.

Titus' eyes widened as a tear started to flow. This kingdom, his dreams. It was as if they were all swept away in just one swipe.

Titus looked back at Rin, who was panicking to make it into the tunnel out of the city and for a second, it was as if all the world was silent.

"I... want to go back... and fight," Titus stammered.

The three dark ones, Seth, Ken, and Kyo all smiled as they rained terror upon Arlolin. Seth was one of the 7 strongest warriors in Emirkol. He was placed as #4. Kyo and Ken are students of Seth and were exceptionally strong as well. "Master Seth. I believe what we are looking for is not here," Ken shouted killing a local soldier as if it were child's play. "Sir. It seems like the king has gone into hiding. This area is now available for capture," Kyo said.

Seth's black long jacket blew in the blistering winds of chaos as he put his hands in his pockets. "No. This area will not prosper under Emirkol until Arlolin's king is dead," Seth said quietly. Ken and Kyo both looked up. There was an academy just ahead. Kyo caught Rin trying to get Suzuki and Titus inside. "You see anything Kyo," Ken asked concerned. Kyo stopped for a minuted then sighed. "No. Just some rats trying to escape death's row," Kyo said. The three continued on to the palace wrecking havoc and destroying things as they went.

Amidst the debris and destruction, Joshua sat. Calmly...sadly. His home was destroyed long before these Dark Ones had come...but it was now utterly decimated. His eyes drifted around, to the buildings that still had parts of them collapsing and crumbling. Giant walls of shadow came near Seth and the others, looming over everything and forming differently sized eyes and teeth throughout itself. They all stared down at the three. "Just two of your lackeys, Seth?" Ancitif asked its fellow Dark One. Joshua, its host, stayed away, but it wouldn't be hurt. Not by another Dark One. "The kingdom must have been far too vulnerable...." It stated, the jaws in a laughing expression. The dozens of eyes all looked to Seth. "I've attained another host body in my time here. Feel free to slay everything else." Ancitif's shadow and eyes spread even further for a few moments. Seth and the others should have heard a bit of agonized grunting and yelping as the shadow retracted, bloodied, with a few dead.

Rei was honestly not a coward. And that was why, as everyone paniced and ran, she found herself a lonesome spot and slid out her long coat. Putting it on, she waved her hand over the hood's opening.

"Xaquin shroud'ai." she said, and her face was blackened from view. She slid out her weapons; the dual double-edged swords she had taken up from the Holy One who had saved her, and the twin revolver pistols she had acquired from  a gunsmith who had almost died from Dark Ones.

She manifested her wings an shot up. A concentrated blast of light opened a hole, and she flew fast and strong. Her classmates long gone or nearly escaped, she spotted him.

"Seth."

Rumors from the last kingdom to have fallen. Power. It was nothing she could face. Not now, not soon.

But the two lackeys...

She landed atop a tower and aimed. With a concentrated aims she trailed, but it was for show. As the wind caressed her cheek and the cloak ruffled, she pulled the trigger. The bullet of light magic fired, and was directed at it's target and pushed faster by the wind. If everything went well, then her shot would strike the back of Ken's head and, once in the center, would create a small tornado right in his brain. it was a very dangerous and costly spell, but it would very easily kill it's target. She'd have enough magic power to get to the ground, but that was it.

She prayed it struck; even one dark one would be enough. Her rose cross was all ready to be dropped, and then herself disappear into the refugees running away.

Seth nodded at Antcliff's request. The three Dark Ones got to the doors of the palace in little to no time at all. "Sir. It seems as if there's no one here," Kyo said. Seth opened the giant palace doors. "It's open," Seth said. Seth looked around. They were in the garden. "It must be here. I feel light magic thick in the air here," Seth said. Suddenly, there was an eerie feeling and a strong moments (or seconds of silence). "Ken trouble. Kyo!" Seth said feeling the airwaves with sensory magic. Kyo reacted in time setting up a small barrier around the three. The bullet bounced off the barrier causing a big yellow explosion to a near-by house. "Looks like someone wants to play with you," Seth said. Ken nodded. "Mind if I play with them?" Ken asked. "Have fun," Seth replied.

As soon as the barrier faded, Ken shot up to the sky in the direction of where the shot came from.

Someone had good senses. But her escape was cut short - and she felt this raging energy sweep theough her. Family, friends...the world...

She twisted and dove, drawing her twin swords. Salvation and Liberation, she had decided on naming them mere days ago. As she spotted Ken, she felt her twin, and yet unnamed pistols slightly shake in their holsters. She quickly began a concentrated roll, gaining airspeed as she dove fast. The wind at her back, she sped up further.

Her white cloak fluttered, and on the sides were the blood red crosses that so clearly marked who she was.

"But if we do, I will need my real swords, and you are going to need your weapon as well." Rin said.

Suzuki nodded.

"Where is your stuff Titus? Rin?" he asked.

Rin sighed and shook her head, looking up at her friend.

"Mine stuff is in the locker rooms, everyone had to get changed for this class unless they are practicing with magic." she snapped.

"Right..." Suzuki muttered.

(Antcliff...that's a...peculiar misreading)

Ancitif's manifestation reverted into its general shadow form. Joshua came out of hiding, even knowing the Dark Ones wouldn't hurt him because of Ancitif, and ran. He'd rather not see even more destruction to what was home. He stopped short though, before coming across Titus and a few others. He froze, pale and silent. (...They're...students. I saw one earlier...but...what if they can sense a Dark One...? They'd...kill me.....)

Rin suddenly shut up as soon as she saw Joshua. A small, innocent, confused, sad little boy.

"Here she goes..." Suzuki sighed, shaking her head.

Rin leaned down a bit to the little boys size.

"Are you okay, little boy? Are you lost? Rin will help a cute little boy like you get home." she said with a smile.

(Joshua is going to get soooo mad at her OwO)
