Riku21Terr 214 Posted February 16, 2014 Hi all I am making a video trying to convince Willa Holland to keep voicing Aqua. I KNOW theres a good chance she'll return, but you never know, considering that Billy Zane, Britanny snow, and others after voicing the csracter ONCE (In DDD Aqua only said ONE Word which was an archeived recording from BBS), did not return, also consdering that she is a main character on Arrow and only took the role of Aqua cuz she had nothing better to do in the time frame when the voice recording (in mid 2010) and was bored (Notice how she NEVER mentions/acknolweges Aqua in ANY interviews?/on her twitter/instagram? and osical networks?) Anyways, i could use some feedback on the video, specifically how to make people feel how i feel about Aqua, and to convince people n her that she should not say no to this, otherwise it will be a huge mistake. Like the KHRP's video, I want to be convincing to an audience, for if willa says no, then maybe Disney/Square/Fans can help convince her, like how they got rid of the replacement actor for Ash in the Pokemon anime after 4Kids left. It was bad,but hopefully a convinced return would make her want to breathe more life into her character.The acting for Terra and Aqua didn't sound enthusiastic until the most crucial scenes... Caity 3,946 Posted February 16, 2014 I never really loved her voice enough to care if she's replaced. Long as it isn't a major contrast if they replace her I won't notice. Personally if she really doesn't care about the role I don't see why it seems worthwhile to try and convince her when she most likely will never see the video or care. I applaud your efforts and hope you succeed, but I'm personally all over the board when it comes to both Aqua and Willa Holland.There are a lot of lines that Willa delivers beautifully and really capture the moment, but then there are other lines where it seems like she just didn't care. These emotionless lines especially stick out when compared to the seasoned veteran voice actors like Jesse McCartney, Leonard Nimoy, and many of the other Disney characters. The real tragedy is that it is obvious that Willa could totally own this role, but she doesn't.Then there is Aqua as a character. Very much like Willa, there are moments that make you love the character, but there are also times where you yell at the screen "WTF are you doing Aqua!?!?!?!?". She is suppose to be a Keyblade Master, yet she is making as many mistakes as everyone else! Like you mentioned, her cameo in KH3D was just a voice clip, but I can't blame her for not coming in to say literally one word. However, I was completely impressed and amazed that David Gallagher and Hayden Panettiere came back for Riku & Kairi in BBS. Now THAT is dedication.Once in a while there comes a time where you have to accept voice changes. Billy Zane did an AMAZING job as Ansem Seeker of Darkness, and Brittany Snow did a decent job with Namine in KH2, but they're gone. Since they left, we have seen dedication from Richard Epcar and Meaghan Jette Martin for their respective roles. Honestly, if given the choice between Zane & Snow returning for KH3, or keeping Epcar & Martin, I'd give it to Epcar & Martin since they answered the call all these years.Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be a huge story on a grand scale, and every aspect of production needs to bring their A game, including the voice actors. Though there is no confirmation yet, I KNOW that Haley, David, Hayden, Jesse, Meaghan, Quinton, and all those loyal and dedicated voice actors will show up for this epic finale and give it their all. If Willa doesn't understand the importance or want to be a part of arguably one of the most anticipated games of next gen, then maybe it would better if we got someone else for the job.
