Recommended Posts

The previously leaked Pokémon has been officially revealed.

More information about Diancie can be found here:

http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-us/pokemon/diancie/

Also appearing in the new Pokémon Movie:

Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie

Storyline of the Movie:

The story is set in Diamond Ore Country, of which Diancie is the princess. This is a country located deep underground, where the Pokémon Carbink live together in peace. The energy source of this country is a giant diamond called the Sacred Diamond, which can only be created by princess Diancie. However, the current princess doesn't yet possess the power to create such a diamond, and the current Sacred Diamond's power is soon going to run out, which would result in the end of the country. Diancie meets up with Ash and Pikachu, and set off together with them to search for the legendary Pokemon Xerneas, which possesses sacred power, but on the way, they find the cocoon where the Destruction Pokémon, Yveltal, who was said to have once destroyed life in Kalos, lies in wait.

I was just about to post this. xD

I hope it's distributed over WiFi, I don't want to have to drive to Gamestop or whatever other stores they'd plan on using for distribution. I missed a ton of legendaries thanks to those. :/

oh this is getting me excited! I've been thinking lately, and I just have a quick question, so let's say that Pokemon 7th gen comes out? will we be able to send pokemon from 7th gen to Pokemon X and Y? surely they can update the pokedex?

No, the Pokemon games have never done that. I don't see a point in it anyway, I'd rather have everything in the newest than go backwards. You WILL be able to transfer 6th Gen to 7th Gen through Pokemon Bank, though.

No, that wont happen. It has never happened. You see, Generation 7 will be a brand new generation with its own mechanics and Pokemon, Pokemon not registered before in previous generations. So in short, no you can't send Gen 7 Pokemon to Gen 6 or below. You can only send it to future generations.

Because I have to be "that" guy, I wanted to bring up that GSC did have the ability to trade with RBY, although you could only trade Kanto Pokemon that didn't know any of the moves introduced in Gen 2. I highly doubt they'd ever do something like that again considering A) there's too many god damn pokemon, and B) Pokemon Bank circumvents that issue anyway.

Anyway, Diancie looks pretty cool. I'm wondering if it'll have the ability to breed Carbink on steroids like Manaphy does with Phione or something.

True. Still, it seems unlikely. :/

The hidden legends are Diancie, Volcanion (Fire/Water quadruped with circle-cannons on its back) and Hoopa (Ghost/Psychic imp-like creature). [lol spoilers in a Pokémon game hurr]

tbh Carbink has been utterly forgettable...Diancie will probably be similar for me. I want Hoopa.

I'm just excited that the torment of knowing about these legendaries before their release is starting to make its close.

no
