In the beginning of time in the world of Ariena

There was a legend of a battle between a great warrior in the heavens

and a great darkness.

 Wielding the holy blade Excalibur..

The warrior defeated the darkness

and scattered its body into 7 different orbs of darkness in Ariena

The great warrior also scattered 7 pieces of the Excalibur into the world of Ariena

In case the darkness should rise again.

 

50 years ago

A great rip was opened in the sky of Ariena

What seemed like monsters escaped from the sky

 

This day was known to some as the Darkest Hour

Because many monsters destroyed and killed humans

and set up empires to rule the nations

 

To others, this day was know as The Great Enlightenment

Because many monsters lived among humans and taught them advanced magical abilties

This brought upon a time between the old ways and newer ways of doing things

 

Now, 300 years later,

The Dark Ones, or the monsters whose forefathers set up dark empires have and still ruled the nations.

However, while the odds are against the humans and Holy Ones. (The ones who lived peacefully among the humans)

Recently, a piece of the Excalibur has been discovered, but not claimed yet

This could be a big turnover for the humans and Holy Ones.

 

Soon, the humans and Holy Ones set out on an adventure to retrieve the 7 parts of the Excalibur

And while they are doing that,

In the shadows, some of the Dark Ones are looking for the 7 orbs of darkness

While others are looking to destroy the Excalibur itself.

 

The tide of this RP is up to you

Appearance: Rin is rather pale and a bit short for her age, she is slim and has a rather normal sized bust. She has light blue, almost silver eyes and long black hair that is usually pulled into a messy ponytail or just kept down. When kept down, it about to her waist. She usually wears a rather big white long-sleeved sweater and a black tank-top under that. She also wears a rather short black-skirt and some black tights with some black boots. Her shirt covers her skirt a good amount, so it almost looks like she is wearing a dress.
Personality: Rin is mischievous, curious, and always wants to get into to trouble...this makes her rather childish. She is serious....when she wants to be. 

History/Bio: Rin lived as normal as she possibly could, she was a middle child, and was rather rebellious. However, her parents and older siblings were killed by some dark ones, and Rin was thankfully saved by her friend from her own demise. Her and her best friend, Suzuki, are looking to destroy the Excalibur itself...for everyones sake. Excalibur to them is a very dangerous weapon. 

Magic: Empathy- Being able to sense others emotions...also telekinesis, which she uses mostly for her weapons.

Weapon: About ten daggers, which are almost always controlled by her telekinesis.

Personality: Suzuki is kind, and does not mind Rin being naive. They are very close friends and he likes playing around just as much as Rin does. Playing around....otherwise known as making people reaalllyyy mad for Suzuki's and Rin's amusement. 

History/Bio: Suzuki lived with his parents for some time, but he left the house at 17. After about a month after he left the house, he went over to Rin's house one day to check up on her...because they have been friends for basically their entire life. To his surprise, dark ones were there, and they were attacking her family. Suzuki thankfully was able to get there before anything happened to Rin, and saved her from her own death. The two have been living in Suzuki's home ever since. They both agree on destroying the Excalibur. 

Magic: Electricity Manipulation, which is a big part in taking down his enemies. When he shoots his pistols, the bullets release a strong electric charge that may paralyze the enemy for a certain amount of time....depending on what electric charge he has on his bullets. 

Weapon: Two pistols.

History/Bio:

Rei says she was born an orphan, and has lives as an orphan for her entire life. Never knowing her parents or even friendship, the life of hardship had created something sinister. After being assaulted and left for dead, a Holy One found her and nursed her back to health. Almost as if given a second chance at life, she was ready to start anew when a small group of humans who detested Dark Ones and Holy Ones alike broke in and murdered the Holy One who had saved her. Filled again with sorrow, she lashed out and killed them all with the magical abilities bestowed upon her.

Taking their weapons, she left the bloody scene behind her.

 

That was one year ago. While in the process of killing gang members who were busy trying to murder some Holy Ones, a group of Dark Ones showed up to the party. Now fighting alongside the racists for life, she had a sort of epiphany; that humanity was twisted further, not by their own design, but by fear.

And to remove the fear, she decided that removing the Dark Ones was a good idea. So she changed her targets to them, and resumed her killing activities...all while living in a small room above the maid cafe she was mercifully hired at.

 

She has been given the name "Raziel of the Rose Cross" for her calling card; two red roses arranged in a cross at the scene of each murder, and always covered in the blood of the dead Dark Ones.

 

She wants to rebuild Excalibur and bring down the Dark Ones, and hopefully end the fear.I

Magic:

Wind Control: Creates centralized tornadoes to block escapes and cause area damage, as well as cause powerful blasts of air against her foes. And likes to create flight with her wings for the "angel of death" effect.

Control of Light: Ability to charge bullets with light for an almost burning effect, as well as go no-ammo and fire lasers. Also has a tendency to manifest "wings of light" for a scare factor.

Weapon: two pistols and two swords (nicknamed Rei the Qadra)

History/Bio: He was an orphan in the little ghettos on the outskirts of the kingdom of Arololin. He never knew his parents because they were said to disappear when he was a little baby. He had no other family to take him up so he was raised by thugs and gang members. One day, at the age of 7, he and the gang went out of the city to hunt down Dark Ones. The gang was completely wiped out with only Titus remaining. Almost at the point of death, he was saved by Lyra, who took him under her wing. Titus began his training in magic under her teaching for years. He had finally mastered the Ice-style battle magic at the age of 15 and started hunting down the Dark Ones himself along with the Holy One, Lyra, as his partner. His main goal is to find his parents.

 

Magic: General Wizard

 

Sharak - Freezes the air to create ice shards. The technique has a different version of itself such as Sharak Kali(Ice shield made of ice shards) and Sharak Jalaran(A rain of giant Ice shards).

History/Bio: Chase grew up with his big brother, their parents dying when they were both young. Growing up, Chase's brother taught him the ways of the sword and about the legend of Excalibur. Ever since he heard that the Dark Ones could be defeated by gathering up the 7 pieces of Excalibur, Chase trained relentlessly with his bro in order to someday wield the completed Excalibur and ending the war that caused his parent's deaths. But first, he'll have to become stronger than his brother Dirk.

 

Magic: Time - Chase is able to move forward or backward through time, but this can only done under very specific circumstances.

1) He can only travel to a place he has or will visit in a 24 hour gap.

2) In order to not create a time paradox, he must keep interactions with others at a minimum.

3) Only 3 Chases can exist in one time period at any one time.

4) A future self cannot tell a past self anything concerning their future unless it extremely necessary.

5) He can only move through time, not control it. He is not invincible, he is very much still a regular human.

Appearance:

Personality: Morgan does her best to be eloquent, polite, and a bit contradictorily but especially, magnanimous. While on occasion she IS humble, she is often such-- condescending, proud, consumed by her own hubris. This is because of her previous experiences of being, or trying to be the most virtuous human being. When that failed, she decided to take the opposition's course. To commit the worst of sins, continuously and remorselessly, all towards the same goal.

History/Bio: Morgan, even as the virtuous, humble soul she once was, had always been inquisitive of the Dark Ones. Because of their relative friendliness, the Holy Ones had been more or less known, studied, questioned. As were the humans with them, of course, but the Dark Ones were never so lenient, making them all the more mysterious. Everything known of them as told by the Holy Ones, but surely they did not tell everything, much less know everything! This drove her to capturing a Dark One amidst none others as witnesses. It spilled little information, but Morgan was able enough to kill it after such interrogation brought her to even more inquisitions of the world that she and none may ever know of.

Magic: Pyrokinesis-- Conjuring and controlling fire

Side: Dark, but with intentions against that of everyone

Guardian: Malebolge, a Dark One
  - Malebolge is a creature closely related to twelve other powerful Dark Ones, in which, are lone 'Guardians' without a human. They
are all of a powerful elite
  group, and Malebolge can summon them, if amplified with enough power from a few orbs of darkness. The twelve Dark Ones are of
  the Malebranche, comprised of: Malacoda, Scarmiglione, Draghignazzo, Calcabrina, Alichino, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia, Graffiacane,
  Rubicante, Ciriatto, Libiococo, and Farfarello.
  - Abilities: Malebolge can summon meager, lesser Dark Ones to bidding. If it had enough orbs of darkness, possibly a few superior
Dark Ones of the Malebranche.

 

Name: Joshua Akira

Age: 11

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: Joshua is kind and sincere, compassionate and trusting, innocent-- but fragile. Emotionally fragile. Physically fragile. Even so, he is very sympathetic and very loving despite how easy it is for someone to hurt him. Joshua does his best to keep an optimistic smile when he can, and while plenty of the time he cannot, few seem to be able to tell when he is or when he's smiling with genuine joy. He has innocence. A sense of it, at least, as plenty of other meanings of 'innocence' are long-lost.

History/Bio: Once again, physically fragile-- emotionally fragile and born into a world already dominated by Dark Ones. For such reasons, he was to be of prime punishment by the Dark Ones. Because it was easy. Because he wouldn't fight back, wouldn't resist...just easy. They were right. It would be. Instead of him resisting, however, he was protected. People he didn't even know protected him, fought for him. Just those last thoughts of them protecting him before the Dark Ones killed those people...eventually it would break him down. His family had been dead long before this, and when they did, Joshua still knew little of the true malice that the Dark Ones gave. Back then was when he gained his first enemy...or...enemies. Humans. So...selfish...avaricious...envious...remorseless just as the Dark Ones may sometime be. It was them, the humans who had broken him.
Shortly before the first piece of Excalibur was found, Joshua was...in a way...protected by the Dark Ones again-- by a Dark One. It corrupted him, nearly became him, and with him in his body, the Dark Ones never hurt Joshua's body again. It was the body of a Dark One as well, of Ancitif.
Magic: Healing-- Self-explanatory.

Guardian: Ancitif, a Dark One (yes, contradictorily)
  - Ancitif, unlike most Guardians, does not have a completely physical form, nor was it even condoned to be with Joshua by even him.
  Ancitif resides from Joshua's shadow, suppressed by his will, but powerful enough to come whenever Joshua is in emotional or physical distress, or when he deems Ancitif's presence acceptable. Even when not manifested, it can whisper into the hearts of nearby humans or Guardians, especially whom it inhabits....
  - Abilities: Over time, Ancitif gains in strength to possibly overwhelm the will of the body it inhabits. When manifested, it is a shadow that
can spread almost endlessly as far as there is sufficient light to give the darkness form as a shadow, or within a certain distance from
the host body. The shadow may sprout eyes and teeth, and is made of carbon graphite.
  - Manifestation weaknesses: With an overabundance of light, the shadow will dissolve in pain to the Dark One itself for as long as the light
lasts. Such light must be incredibly radiant, as mere artificial light will be insufficient. Also, when the body is trapped in complete and
utter darkness, there is no light to give the shadow form, and thus, cannot. Lastly, when striking against a material of equal or greater
power to carbon graphite, the shadow will clash against it and cannot break or harm it.

Appearance:

Personality: Condescending yet gentle, Dante is an extremely powerful sorcerer of sorts, but is rarely seen fighting. This is due to the fact that whomever usually decides to fight him can be brushed aside easily, whether in battle or not, and because Dante is never one to start a fight of his own volition. He speaks intelligently, in English, of course, but also has a peculiar knowledge of the Enochian language. His style of dressing makes him stand out from everyone else by far, but it is merely shrugged off without any care. Even when threatened or yelled at, Dante is very polite, even to the extent of insulting someone in such manner when he deems fit.

History/Bio: Dante's age merely makes him more used to the acts of the Holy and Dark Ones, as he was growing up while not all kingdoms of the Dark Ones were created yet. In fact, he lived as a normal human would for those years until it was finally claimed by them. Dante's life itself, however, has always been rather uneventful, aside from personal dread just from growing older to see other people die.

Magic: Elemental Manipulation-- Straightforward. While he cannot currently conjure elements, Dante can control already existing elements.
Elemental Alteration-- Can purify or corrupt already existing elements. As an example, if there was a pure body of water, Dante could make it stagnant, poisonous, etc. and vice versa. Of course, anyone could tell whether or not its pure.

Appearance:

Personality: Kazuhiro at first seems flat and blank. He doesn't smile, he sighs a lot, and seems bored with reality and life. If he can do it alone, that's how hes going to do it, and it would be near impossible to stop him. He knows his own strength, and won't brag or overestimate his own abilities.

History/Bio: Kazuhiro, or Kazu for short, doesn't know anything of his own past. He found himself awake one day, flat on his back in the alleyway of a crowded city. How he had gotten there was beyond him. Whether he was an orphan with no memories, or something even more darker than what any crime lord could come up with in the city he found himself in. What Kazu did learn were his powers. Something extraordinary, and something that would lead him further.
