Inoue looked back at his brother, and felt slightly bad for him. "Okay, okay, fine... We'll slow down." He sighed. "We can't waste any time, though."

 

Hikari

 

"Right. We just need to track down a Heaven scroll and get to the center of the forest." I really hope that Koukon's team didn't get a Heaven scroll... Hikari sighed.

 

Koukon

 

Koukon looked at his scroll. "It's... A Heaven Scroll! We've got to find an Earth Scroll, then!" Koukon answered, still moving. "Anyway, let's go that way!" He pointed in a different direction. "If we go fast enough, we'll intercept another team's path." He changed direction...

 

Eventually, they could see another team in the distance. "Alright, I'll jump on one of them, and threaten the others with that teammate's life." He whispered, and moved on ahead. He quickly pounced on one of the three, pinning them to the ground, and held a kunai to their neck. "Alright, you two! Hand over your Earth Scroll, or I'll kill your... your..." He looked down, terrified to see who it was he was attacking.

 

"Get off of me, big brother!" Kiyoshi pushed her brother off of her, and quickly got back to her feet. "Why would you do something that mean to me, brother..." She looked like she was about to cry.

 

"I-I'm sorry, Kiyoshi! I thought you were someone else!" Koukon quickly apologized.

 

"Whatever you say, big brother..." She sighed. "We don't have an Earth Scroll, anyway."

Chosan

 

Chosan continued to wheeze as he kept running to keep up with his teammates. I... shoulda... packed... more.... snack... Chosan ironically thought.

 

Shogo

 

"Exactly," Shogo confirmed. He then went through some hand seals with his one only hand and cried "Byakugan!" as he activated his kekkei genkai and his eyes grew more intesne as temples sprouted around his eyes and head. "Do you see anything, Lady Hikari?" Shogo asked his fellow clan member who possesed the same power as he.

 

Kinatama

 

"Whoa whoa whoa!" Kinatama cried as Koukon went on his own. He sighed as he eventually caught up, after the exchange between Koukon and the now revealed Kiyoshi.

 

"See, this is what you get for going off on your own," KInatama said, crossing his arms and looking a little annoyed. "Besides, she said her team didn't have an Earth Scoll. That means going after them would have been a waste of time anyway, and your wild yells could have gave us away too. Come on man, think!" KInatama lectured.

Banken and Tenshi

 

The two of them yelled in unison, "KIYOSHI!" as she got tackled by her brother. After Kinatama started talking to Koukon, the two ran over to them. "HEY, WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA TACKLING KIYOSHI?" Tenshi yelled at Koukon. Banken shook his head as he said that. "You idiot, it's a race to see who can get the scrolls, of course they'd go for other teams." He saw Kinatama next to Koukon. "Heh, i didn't think we'd be meeting so early into the exams. Where's your third teammate?"

 

Itachi

 

The Uchiha ran over to his teammates just as Banken mentioned him. "So, what did i miss? I'm guessing these guys don't have an Earth scroll if you aren't fighting them."

Kinatama

 

"'Fraid not, Itachi," Kinatama answered his teammate. "They don't have the scroll we're lookin' for."

 

Shogo

 

After a few minutes of searching, Shogo picked up the chakra signatures of at least six people nearby. "Lady Hikari, Ryuichi, there are some people nearby. We should see if they have the scroll we are looking for," He said to his two comrades, Byakugan still blaring.

Kiyoshi

 

"Kinatama's right, Koukon!" Kiyoshi walked over towards Kinatama, glaring at her brother. "If anyone attacks us, it's your fault!"

 

Koukon

 

"Alright, I'm sorry..." Koukon sighed, upset that he'd screwed up so horribly. I said that I wouldn't mess up this time, but I've screwed up in the first few minutes. So much for being the hero this time. "Hey, wait a minute! I have an idea!" He grinned. "Since we all have the same scroll, we should team up. This will be way easier if we have two teams working together, right?

 

Hikari

 

Hikari activated her Byakugan. Six people in the area...? She was confused. Was there already a fight breaking out? When she found the ninja that Shogo told her about, she discovered that they weren't fighting at all. She tried to identify them... That's Koukon! "U-um... M-maybe we should g-go for a different team...? S-six against three isn't a very good match-up..." She tried to convince Shogo to let them go for somebody else.

Kinatama

 

"Well, considering we both have a common goal, it does make a lot of sense. Also, I don't think the other team has a reason to leave us hanging anyway," Kinatama said aloud to Koukon.

 

Shogo

 

"Lady Hikari, we must act on every chance we get to succeed. It would be foolish to pass this up. Besides, based on the signature, only most of them will be a threat... but I assure you that Ryuichi will be able to subdue them. After all, he does have the best ninja tool and taijutsu mastery among us as well as the rest of the rookies."

 

Ryuichi

 

"That is correct, Shogo. Do not worry, Hikari. I will handle the strongest opponents so that you and Shogo can obtain the scroll!" Ryuichi said from afar, speaking over his shoulder as he flashed both Shogo and Hikari a thumbs up.

He folded his arms together. "Alright, for now i guess that would be the best thing to do." He looked towards Tenshi. "So, are you going to go along with this or start acting like an idiot and try to take on everyone on your own?"

 

Tenshi

 

He sighed. "Jeez, how long are you going to hold that over my head? Ok fine, I'll go along with this." He pouted and kicked the dirt at his feet.

Hikari

 

"I-I guess you're right..." Hikari sighed. Only a few are threats... I'm guessing he didn't mean Koukon. She sighed, trying to think of some way to get around screwing over Koukon and the others. "Y-you're sure we can take them all on? I... I think I see someone else that way!" She pointed in a random direction, trying to lie to Shogo to divert his attention.

 

Koukon

 

"Well then, sounds like we're all working together!" Koukon grinned. Now we'll be a lot safer... We'll have to find two teams to take on, though... "So, where do we go now?" He asked, hoping one of the others could contribute.

 

Kiyoshi

 

"I say we make Kinatama the leader! He's the strongest one here, and I trust him a lot more than some other people right now..." She looked at her brother, still mad that he'd attacked her earlier.

Shogo

 

Shogo looked in Hikari's direction, but he did not sense anything at all. "There's nothing there, Lady Hikari. We'll just go with the six we've picked up. Let's go!" Shogo commanded, as he started to speed up towards the direction of the signatures, Ryuichi following.

 

Kinatama

 

"Me? The leader?" Kinatama said, flattered by the nomination. "Well, shoot, I'm already the co-captain of my own cell so I guess it makes sense. Heh heh heh," Kinatma added, stroking his ego as he put his hands behind his head and grinned.

Hikari

 

"O-okay..." There's no way out of this one... Sorry, Koukon. She followed Shogo and Ryuichi, until the three got near the two other teams. She silently stood in a tree, watching the other six shinobi. I've got to warn him...

 

Kiyoshi

 

"Exactly! You're the one most qualified for the job!" Kiyoshi smiled, glad that she'd made Kinatama so happy. "So, where do we go now, leader?" She asked Kinatama, putting emphasis on the word leader.

 

Koukon

 

"Please... I'm better suited for the job than Kinatama is." Koukon glared at Kinatama, angered that his sister was ignoring him. "I say we go-" He was quickly cut off by a rustling noise. "... We're not alone..." He grabbed a kunai, preparing for a battle. "Get ready, everyone."

Itachi, Banken, and Tenshi

 

Itachi quickly got his kunai out, while Tenshi and Banken quickly had their fists out at the ready and got into their fighting stances. Tenshi then looked over to Banken. "Hey man, how about you sniff out who's surrounding us?" Banken looked at him in surprise. "Wow, i didn't think you'd be smart enough to think of something like that." Tenshi gritted his teeth. "Come on man! I'm not a total idiot."

 

Banken then started sniffing the air to try and see if he could pick out the scents. Ok, there's the 6 of us, so far i don't- Wait! Banken looked behind him at a tree and pointed at it. "I think i smell H-" But before he could say who it was, Tenshi immediately ran to the tree and tackled Hikari to the ground. "HA! I got ya'! Now give us your scroll!"

Hikari/Koukon

 

"Ugh, get off of me, you idiot!" Hikari shouted at Tenshi, struggling to break free from his grasp. She managed to kick him off of her, and stood up. "Shogo, Ryuichi! Hurry up and get out here!" She shouted back to her teammates, angered that some random idiot decided to try something so stupid. She focused her attention on Koukon, and tried to speak boldly. "A-alright, Koukon... I-I'm stealing your scroll!" She shouted at her friend, and raced towards him. "Gentle Fist!" She began to hit various parts of Koukon's body, blocking his chakra receptors

 

Koukon tried to dodge Hikari's attacks, but was unable to do so. "Why are you doing this, Hikari?" He felt his energy slowly draining, and was unable to draw much chakra together. "Why don't we... team up...?" He finally dodged one of her attacks, and jumped back. Ugh... I don't have the time to gather enough chakra for a ninjutsu attack. She made sure of that... I'll have to try taijutsu! He lunged at her with a kunai, and Hikari blocked with her own knife. "I don't want to have to fight you here!"

 

Kiyoshi

 

"Koukon!" Kiyoshi began to try to save her brother, but remembered that Hikari wasn't the only enemy to deal with. I've got to leave her to my brother... I'll focus on taking one of the other two down. She kept a kunai ready for a counter attack, and tried to scan the area for Hikari's teammates. "Tenshi, Banken! Get ready for another attack! There should still be two more hiding somewhere..."

Shogo

 

"Damn! They found us!" Shogo cursed to himself. "Ryuichi, let's move!" Shogo cried as he and Ryuichi jumped from the bushes. "Lady Hikair is fighting Koukon. That leaves us with Banken, Tenshi, Kiyoshi, Kinatama, and Itachi. Kinatama and Itachi are the strongest of the five; I'll leave them to you," Shogo said, facing Team Fujiri all by himself.

 

Ryuichi / Kinatama

 

"Okay!" Ryuichi answered his teammate as he himself faced Kinatama and Itachi. "You have something of ours, as do we for you. Let us see who can claim their prize first!" Ryuichi taunted, smirking as he settled into his father's taijutsu stance.

 

"Is that right? Well then, bring it on Bushy Brows!" Kinatama fired back, getting into his own fighting stance. "Itachi! Lets go!" Kinatama cried to his teammate as Ryuichi charged straight at them.

 

"Leaf Hurricane!" The green clad boy cried as he launched two kicks at Kinatama. The blue clad boy dodged the first kick as well as the second kick. Ryuichi then regained himself and threw a punch at Kinatama, to which Kinatama caught with ease. "Heh. Try harder," Kinatama taunted, using his free hand to try and uppercut Ryuichi in the chin, only for him to dodge by a hair and backflip away, his feet catching Kinatama on his own chin.

 

"Gah..." Kinatama adjusted his mouth. "Okay. Better. But not good enough!" Kinatama said to the once again smirking Ryuichi.

Banken quickly turned to Tenshi. "Remember Tenshi, we cannot let him hit us, if he does, he'll try to block our chakra and then we'll be finished." Tenshi then nodded, and quickly started making a few complicated seals and made a ring around his mouth with his fingers. "WIND STYLE! STEAM JUTSU!" He quickly blew out a strong stream of wind that forced Shogo back. Banken then followed up by holding his arm back in preparation. "DRILLING AIR BULLET!" A strong force of wind quickly surged towards Shogo.

 

Itachi

 

As Kinatama dealt with Ryuichi at the start, Itachi closed his eyes and focused. Sharingan. He opened his eyes again, using his Dojutsu and fixated his vision on Ryuichi. He's fast...But maybe i can use this against him later on... He then dashed in front of Kinatama and made a few handsigns. "FIREBALL JUTSU!" He blew out a fireball heading straight for Ryuichi, trying to put some distance between them for the moment.

Shogo

 

The one armed Hyuga steadied himself as he went through hand seals. "Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!" He cried, spitting a water ball out of his mouth to counter the torrent of wind that Tenshi shot, as well as another one for Banken. The two attacks were canceled out, as Shogo moved through the steam it created and managed to get near Tenshi. "You are in my divination," He said softly and got into a quick stance. "Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms!" He said, diving at Tenshi with his one hand and striking his chakra points. "Two Palms! Four Palms! Eight Palms! Sixteen Palms! Thirty Two Palms! Sixty Four Palms!" He finally cried, having attacked Tenshi's chakra points in full and sending him flying back with the last strike.

 

Ryuichi / Kinatama

 

Ryuichi anticipated the attack and pulled out a scroll. "Ninja Art: Fire Seal!" He cried, unfurling the scroll and letting the symbol in the middle glow until the fireball got sucked into it and vanished. Ryuichi then pocketed the scroll. and dashed towards Itachi, seemingly disappearing and reappearing from sight; he land a strong kick to Itachi's chin sending him flying into the air. He then dashed into the air.

 

"Look below," Ryuichi said, as he used Dancing Leaf Shadow to go directly below Itachi's body.

 

"No, you look below," said a voice from behind Ryuichi. To his shock, it was Kinatama, who also used the DLS technique. "What?!"

 

"Heh! Two can play at his game, pal. Haa!" Kinatama cried, bringing his leg up for a kick to Ryuchi's side. The green clad boy brought up his forearm to block.

 

"Hey Itachi, lets take advantage of this!" Kinatama yelled to his teammate above. "Come on, double team him with me!"

Kiyoshi

 

He's wide open, now... Kiyoshi dove towards Shogo, forming handseals in midair. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" She shot a large fireball at the Hyuga, hoping to catch him off guard. She landed close to Shogo, but jumped back to protect herself from any counter attacks. He's a close ranged fighter... As long as I keep my distance, I'll be safe.

 

Koukon/Hikari

 

"I'm sorry, but... I need your scroll." Hikari looked back at Shogo and Ryuichi. They both seem busy with their opponents... Good. Hikari dove into a nearby bush, and formed a few hand seals. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" She jumped out with a clone, and the two both tried to attack Koukon from different sides.

 

"Two against one? That's not fair." Koukon threw kunai at both the real Hikari, and the clone. Both dodged, and activated their Byakugan.

 

"Eight Trigrams, Sixty Four Palms!" Both pounded Koukon's chakra points, almost completely disabling his use of chakra.

Shogo

 

"Another one, huh?" Shogo said to himself as he once again launched a Water Bullet Jutsu at the incoming fireball. The water beat the fire and it once again created steam among the air. Shogo used the steam as a shroud as he jumped through it and managed to go inside Kiyoshi's guard. He sent her back with a single palm strike to her chest.

Tenshi got sent flying back after taking the full force of Shogo's attack, and struggled to stand up. Damn it, most of my chakra is disabled now, what do i do?.... Banken quickly responded after Kiyoshi distracted Shogo with her fireball and pulled his hand back again. "Beast Tearing Palm!" He sliced the air as a chakra wave came out, flying towards the Hyuga from behind before he could notice it, hitting Shogo at full force. He then quickly jumped back. "Get ready Shiromaru, i'm going to need you soon." His loyal husky barked in response.

 

Itachi

 

Itachi nodded in agreement to Kinatama's strategy. He turned around to face Ryuichi and started focusing Chakra into his leg. "HAAA!" He landed a kick on Ryuichi, the sheer strength of his attack breaking his guard and sending him flying away from him and Kinatama. He then dropped back to the ground and started making a few handseals. "Fireball jutsu!" He shot a fireball towards the soaring Ryuichi.

Shogo

 

"Gah!" Shogo cried as he was hit by the attack; it shot him forward onto his stomach, landing on his dead arm.

 

"H-he... attacked my blind spot," Shogo deduced, struggling to get up, but the weight of his dead arm making it more difficult than it should be. As he fell back to the ground, face hitting the dirt, he shot a glance at Hikari from afar. Hikari... you... he thought; his tone was laced with venom. Finally, he managed to get up and prepared himself for Banken's next move.

 

Kinatama / Ryuichi

 

Ryuichi saw Itachi's fireball coming as he dashed in and out of sight and onto the nearest tree branch. "Whew, that was close."

 

"Not so fast!" Kinatama yelled, still midair and pulling out a kunai. He threw the kunai straight at Ryuichi, who sidestepped the kunai as it hit the base of another tree. However, Ryuichi noticed that the end of the kunai had a rope attached to it. Before he could react to it, Kinatama was travelng towards him while pulling on the rope.

 

"Take this!" He cried, clotheslining Ryuichi and carrying him to the end of the rope, slamming him against the tree, a tree branch under their feet. "Heh. Now lets see that scroll," Kinatama said. letting go of the rope and reaching for the scroll in Ryuichi's pocket, which he assumed was the scoll that his team needed. He backed off Ryuichi, who sunk down and sat against the tree.

 

"Hmm," Kinatama examined the scroll. "Sakura Sensei said not to open these... but maybe if I just take a peek..." Kinatama said, opening up the scroll and looking at the fire seal. "Huh? What's this supposed to be?"

 

Ryuichi smirked as he heard Kinatama's shock. "Release!" He cried. Kinatama dropped the scroll as it blew fire out from the seal inside, scaring him and knocking him off the branch. He landed on his feet on the ground. "Grr... wise guy," He grumbled, as Ryuichi regained his composure from above.

 

"Now then, let us continue," Ryuichi said, getting into his taijutsu stance once more.

Hikari/Koukon

 

Koukon could barely stand. "Why...?" He struggled to keep himself from collapsing. "Why are you doing this?" He shouted at Hikari, and tried to attack her with the kunai again. However, a second clone quickly dropped on Koukon, and kicked him over to the ground. "I bet you're the one with the scroll, aren't you?" She checked Koukon's pocket, and pulled out a scroll. "Shogo, Ryuichi! I've got their scroll!" She shouted up to her teammates. "It looks like a Heaven Scroll, too!" She began to walk off, but was quickly interrupted.

 

Kiyoshi

 

"I don't care if you're my friend, you can't hurt my brother like that!" Kiyoshi quickly jumped towards Hikari, and attempted to slash at her with a kunai. Hikari barely dodged, and held out the scroll.

 

"I'd be careful if I were you. If you damage the scroll, your brother's team is screwed either way." She warned Kiyoshi, then turned away.

Shogo

 

"Gah!" Shogo cried as he was hit by the attack; it shot him forward onto his stomach, landing on his dead arm.

 

"H-he... attacked my blind spot," Shogo deduced, struggling to get up, but the weight of his dead arm making it more difficult than it should be. As he fell back to the ground, face hitting the dirt, he shot a glance at Hikari from afar. Hikari... you... he thought; his tone was laced with venom. Finally, he managed to get up and prepared himself for Banken's next move.

 

Kinatama / Ryuichi

 

Ryuichi saw Itachi's fireball coming as he dashed in and out of sight and onto the nearest tree branch. "Whew, that was close."

 

"Not so fast!" Kinatama yelled, still midair and pulling out a kunai. He threw the kunai straight at Ryuichi, who sidestepped the kunai as it hit the base of another tree. However, Ryuichi noticed that the end of the kunai had a rope attached to it. Before he could react to it, Kinatama was travelng towards him while pulling on the rope.

 

"Take this!" He cried, clotheslining Ryuichi and carrying him to the end of the rope, slamming him against the tree, a tree branch under their feet. "Heh. Now lets see that scroll," Kinatama said. letting go of the rope and reaching for the scroll in Ryuichi's pocket, which he assumed was the scoll that his team needed. He backed off Ryuichi, who sunk down and sat against the tree.

 

"Hmm," Kinatama examined the scroll. "Sakura Sensei said not to open these... but maybe if I just take a peek..." Kinatama said, opening up the scroll and looking at the fire seal. "Huh? What's this supposed to be?"

 

Ryuichi smirked as he heard Kinatama's shock. "Release!" He cried. Kinatama dropped the scroll as it blew fire out from the seal inside, scaring him and knocking him off the branch. He landed on his feet on the ground. "Grr... wise guy," He grumbled, as Ryuichi regained his composure from above.

 

"Now then, let us continue," Ryuichi said, getting into his taijutsu stance once more.

 

 

Hikari/Koukon

 

Koukon could barely stand. "Why...?" He struggled to keep himself from collapsing. "Why are you doing this?" He shouted at Hikari, and tried to attack her with the kunai again. However, a second clone quickly dropped on Koukon, and kicked him over to the ground. "I bet you're the one with the scroll, aren't you?" She checked Koukon's pocket, and pulled out a scroll. "Shogo, Ryuichi! I've got their scroll!" She shouted up to her teammates. "It looks like a Heaven Scroll, too!" She began to walk off, but was quickly interrupted.

 

Kiyoshi

He quickly got his kunai back out. "Ok Kinatama, we need a plan. You have about as much strength as him normally, i only can match him if i focus my chakra. I can dodge his attacks easier thanks to my Sharingan, so how about this. I'll go in first and try to draw his attention, while you try to get near him in his blind spot. Then when i leave him open, you go in for the KO. You think you can do that?"

 

Banken / Tenshi

 

Banken saw Shogo getting up and quickly got prepared to fight. He then glanced over to Kiyoshi and saw her confronting Hikari to help her brother. "Tenshi, go help Kiyoshi. I can deal with this clown easy." Tenshi looked over to Kiyoshi. "Right." He quickly got out his sword and started running towards Kiyoshi and Hikari. I can't screw up this time!

 

Banken then started making a few seals and clasped his hands together. "Earth Style: Iron Skin!" Suddenly, his entire torso and lower body darkened(not that anyone could see). I didn't want to use this so soon, but against someone like him, i have no choice. It took a decently large amount of chakra to use, but as long as i have this in effect, Shogo can't disable my chakra flow. He then dashed towards Shogo's location and turned his head to Shiromaru. "Ready boy?" Shiro barked in agreement. "Then let's go...FANG ROTATING FANG!" Banken and Shiromaru started spinning incredibly fast, and headed straight for Shogo.

Shogo

 

Shogo saw Banken coming in hot. He immediate braced himself for what might come. And gathering his strength, he focused his chakra for a counterattack.

 

"Gentle Fist: Palm Rotation!" He cried, spinning around in a circle as he creating a sphere of chakra around him that blocked Banken's Fang Over Fang like an irresistible force meeting an immovable object.

"Another...? You really are an idiot. Get away, now." She had one of her clones target Tenshi, and another target Kiyoshi. Both used Eight Trigrams 64 Palms, nailing their targets. "I really advise that you stay away, or I'll use something even more deadly." She pocketed the scroll, and began to run off, having her two clones make sure that no one chased after her.

 

"Shogo! Ryuichi! Get ready to retreat!" One of the clones called to her teammates. "It's no use fighting them, we'll hold everyone back!"

He started running towards Ryuichi and quickly threw some shurikens at him, and stopped in his tracks, and began to gather electricity in his hand. But then...

 

Hikari

Itachi looked over and heard Hikari's words. Why are they retreating....Unless... His eyes widened, and he looked over to Kinatama. "Hikari must have a scroll, that's the only reason they could be retreating." He then widened when he looked and saw Koukon lying near Hikari. "Oh Crap...We left the Heaven scroll with that idiot..."

 

Banken / Tenshi

 

Banken ceased his FoF. Heh, i forgot that he had that. If he continues to use that, it'll be hard to get at him, even if i don't take damage. But then he heard Hikari's words about them retreating.

 

Meanwhile, Tenshi struggled to get up. Man, that hurt so much...I didn't even have time to react or try to block it... He looked over to Kiyoshi. "Are you ok?"

Ryuichi / Shogo

 

Ryuichi got out of his stance and called back: "What?! But I am not done fighting yet!"

 

"Ryuichi, grr!" Shogo struggled to cry. "Forget it! Don't be a fool! We have what we came for, lets just go!" The injured Hyuga said, his gi now covered in dirt and his lower lip bleeding a little bit. Ryuichi wanted to argue but could not find it in himself to go against his comrades. He and Shogo then went with Hikari.

 

Kinatama

 

"Aw man!" Kinatama facepalmed himself. "I should have held onto the scroll myself. Come on we gotta go after him!" Kinatama said, already making his way to Koukon.
