Now what message is that sending? No guy from the 4 years I was in high school, complained about girls invading their privacy while changing no guy. maybe it happen to you guys but this always bugged me for a while. I can't even remember one instance when a guy in weight training, or team sports or in JROTC or in Dance complain about their privacy being abused by women. you guys are not looking at the bigger picture. instead of getting mad at me, look back to my question, girls usually have the same clothing they use for the beach as they do for their undergarments, covering up the same parts of their body a bikini would. what I am trying to say is that it is pretty much the same thing and why do females get mad when it is the same freaking pieces of clothing as a bikini ( yes the privacy is a big deal also). Nobody takes a guy serious if a girl is invading his privacy, but the dude would more then likely go to jail if he invades a girls privacy DOUBLE STRANDEREDS women get over on men when it comes to that situation I am not sexiest I just asked a question, ( don't kill the messenger ) Edited February 3, 2014 by MasterRoxas13

I feel awkward not even having sleeves in public when I'm at school, and there are other guys who feel uncomfortable showing their skin too. If people saw me in my underwear, I'd probably never want to show my face around there again out of embarrassment. You're generalizing both sides, and trying to justify it with logic that makes no sense. You're just digging yourself into an even deeper hole at this point. 4 King Demise, Think Pink, Godot and 1 other reacted to this

HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted February 3, 2014 Once again , it would only be a double standard if the girls did actually barge in and said it was perfectly ok to do while getting pissed if it happened to them. Period . You making assumptions that EVERY guy is ok with being seen while every girl is not is generalizing and not true . Some guys may be but not all. Some girls may be but not all. This concept is not that hard to grasp . Quit assuming that people just react based strictly on gender when it's really about personal beliefs and feelings . Btw not every girl wears bikinis. Some cover up quite a bit and some don't when at the beach. I've seen plenty of both . 5 King Demise, Godot, Shana09 and 2 others reacted to this

Nobody takes a guy serious if a girl is invading his privacy, but the dude would more then likely go to jail if he invades a girls privacy DOUBLE STRANDEREDS women get over on men when it comes to that situation I am not sexiest I just asked a question, ( don't kill the messenger ) At this point I'm worried you'll say 9/11 was fake. I'm going to preach the same lesson I'm sure your mother did: just because everyone else did it, doesn't mean it's right. Honestly your entire argument is based on what you think other boys think. You know about the Steubenville rape case, I'm assuming? A group of boys all participated in that girl's rape, but does that mean raping her was okay because other boys thought it was? No! Of course not! Everything is about consent. Women owe you absolutely nothing, so if a girl doesn't consent for you to see her body, you have no right to see it. There is no double standard here though?? As you stated, a double standard is when one group is allowed a greater amount of freedom in an area. Women are allowed no greater freedom here than men. But here's the thing: men are privileged because we live in a patriarchy, so they're able to use that as leverage to say things like this. You're making excuses for invading women's privacy, while men naturally have privilege and their privacy is rarely invaded in the way that women have their privacy invaded. Yes, more men will be jailed for this. Why? Because since men are the ones with power and the ones who think nothing could ever happen to them, they do it. And another issue with the patriarchy: why won't women get in as much trouble? Because the patriarchy TELLS men to "man up" and not let that kind of thing bother them. So because of people making sexist comments and doing sexist things like you, both men and women are suffering, and not just from an invasion of privacy. And if you say sexist things and do sexist things you are a sexist, end of story. You're not just being a "messenger", you are actively invading women's privacy and joking about your sexism. 3 HarLea Quinn, Shana09 and Godot reacted to this
Paopufruity 122 Posted February 3, 2014 Honestly now this is getting really ridiculous. You keep trying to cover for yourself by spouting all this bull about double standards and disregarding everyone else's statements. Why the hell can you not just admit that you were wrong? It is a privacy issue. You may not care if someone walks in on you half naked or otherwise, but some people do. Regardless if they're confident about their body or not. As for the fact that you openly admitted that you are a "pervert lolololol" and that you were trying to get a peek, and then came back and said that you weren't when you were jumped on. Take responsibility for your words idiot. You really fricked up and revealed that you're a creep as well. Which frankly disgusts me. In the conclusion, you are a massive douche who really needs to just shut his mouth. End it. 2 Godot and Think Pink reacted to this

Think Pink 1,967 Posted February 3, 2014 I am sorry Ladies for asking this question if it offended you. again it was not meant to in the first place. The fact that you're still justifying being completely sexist despite everyone having valid complaints about your inappropriate actions and comments is waaaaay more offensive than a mistake. If you'd posted this terribly sexist thing and then realized oh, hey, they're right, I'm being sexist and that's really wrong and I'm sorry about that, I think we'd all happily forgive you. But the fact that you're only apologizing because oh, dang, they called me out on my bs and I can't make any more excuses for my sexism and I don't know what else to do so I'll say sorry in the hopes that they stop posting is a low, low move. Also, "ladies"?? Really now?? Are we really going to continue the whole gender differentiation after we all literally just called you out on it and you just apologized?? You won't stop using the gender card and it's getting ridiculous. 5 Paopufruity, King Demise, Godot and 2 others reacted to this

You basically implied that you were only apologizing so we'd shut up and that you hadn't actually changed your very sexist opinions. Listen, I really don't want to call you out and yell, but no one will ever change their inappropriate ways if no one speaks up. If we sat quietly and let you keep saying sexist things, you would never realize it's wrong and you could never become a better person. You'd pass down those sexist beliefs in the same way that people pass down racism and homophobic beliefs to their children. MasterRoxas, I think you just needed to understand that there are generalizations and stereotypes that lack credibility when you actually sit down and look at the actual logistics . There are both guys and girls who are ok with flashing skin and think nothing of it . There are both guys and girls who are not as comfortable with it . Their reactions to this subject will differ bc of it . It's generalizing that's the problem here and basing it solely on gender is where you sank your ship lol. I guess I was raised to be sexist then. is chivalry dead? not sure about that. Basically what Lea said--you should be polite to everyone, regardless of gender. Treating people different (even if it means you're nicer to them) because they're a different sex is sexist. The code of chivalry should definitely stay dead because it is inherently sexist and degrading even though society tries to make it seem like a good thing, but if you apply the neutral part of it to both genders (holding doors open for people, being polite, etc. regardless of a person's gender) then that's perfectly fine!! 2 Godot and HarLea Quinn reacted to this
