Tails 6,690 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Instead of making a slimmer model to a console that is hardly selling. They should be focusing on making a bigger and better library of games for the Vita. It barely has any interesting games that people want to buy for the Vita. The only interesting games I can think of that are worth buying a Vita for are Uncharted Golden Abyss, Persona 4: Golden, and Gravity Rush. Those are the only games that people are going to buy a Vita for. And That's really sad. Not only that, but they could put a price drop on the Vita for EU/NA territories and maybe made the memory cards come bundled with the Vita instead of just making them seperate purchases and have the memory card be really pricey. If they do all that than the Vita would sell more units and maybe more Japanese devs would localize their Vita exclusive games. I mean why even make a slimmer version of the Vita if it isn't even making a lot of profit? Japan is the only region where it's finally making some money and that's only because of the price drop Sony gave it. They have a beautiful piece of hardware and they haven't put it to any good use nor given it any good 3rd party support. it's disappointing. The PSP and so far the Vita has shown that Sony has no idea how to handle Handhelds, that's Nintendo's specialty. They're better off with normal consoles like the PS3. Taeyeon 1,137 Posted January 30, 2014 I agree I rarely use the darn thing anymore, I might use it for X/X-2 but that's my brother copy of the game so even then I'm not sure.
Percseus 52 Posted January 30, 2014 It's sad really I thought about getting a Vita then I realized it had no games (joke) But really it has very few titles to play.
Silvia Kuroi 1,480 Posted January 30, 2014 Actually, there's quite a list of Vita games coming in the coming months. From Conception II and Borderlands 2 to Demon Gaze and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Heck, IGN has a list of the top 30 Vita games coming out this year: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/01/16/the-top-30-playstation-vita-games-of-2014 Though I do agree, as of now, Sony is doing terrible in regards to the Vita. Their memory cards are needlessly expensive and, as of now, very few Vita-centered games are out for it. 2 Kittenz and 143436611Xxcc reacted to this
143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Some great games. -Minecraft -FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster -Borderlands 2 -Tearaway -Little Big Planet -KILLZONE: Mercenary -Rayman Origins -Gravity Rush -Uncharted Golden Abyss -Assassins Creed 3: Liberation -Hotline Miami -The Walking Dead -Sly Cooper Thieves in Time -Jak and Daxter HD Remaster I can go on... but you get the idea. Vita is so underrated, think of the new slim design as a relaunch to get the average consumer talking about it again. The 3DS has great games too, but couldn't handle these types of games on it... 2014 is the year for Vita imo. Actually, there's quite a list of Vita games coming in the coming months. Dio Brando 5,810 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) I'm sure more games will come to the Vita Just like how Crisis Core FFVII revived the PSP before I'm sure the Vita will get some great games in the future I just hope it WON'T BE ONLY RELEASED IN JAPAN!!!!! Btw,the Vita itself isn't expensive,it's just the memory chips(or cards) are so freakin expensive Edited January 30, 2014 by Metal Snake 1 Reyn reacted to this

Tails 6,690 Posted January 30, 2014 What games would you like to see? A Final Fantasy game that has the gameplay of either FFXV/Type-0, A PS Vita exclusive Jak and Daxter game, a PS Vita exclusive Ratchet and Clank game, A Tales Of game that isn't a remake, a Bioshock game, and maybe a InFAMOUS spin-off game. Those would be amazing.... But hey! Jak is playable on Vita, Bioshock is apparently in the works for Vita, but needs to be approved by Sony. FFXV would also be amazing, but at least we got FFX on there... inFAMOUS would be sick.

I'm sure SCE would love that. 80 million sold in the same generation as the greatest handheld ever released. Most PS Vita owners play the games PlayStation Plus has up each month along with the PSOne and PSP games on the PlayStation Store.
Tails 6,690 Posted January 30, 2014 Speaking of Tales Of, Im still waiting for Hearts R and Innocence R to come out. Same here. It sucks that Hideo baba won't localize it due to poor sales of the Vita in the west. Those would be amazing.... But hey! Jak is playable on Vita, Bioshock is apparently in the works for Vita, but needs to be approved by Sony. FFXV would also be amazing, but at least we got FFX on there... inFAMOUS would be sick. Well he was only playable in that Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale game and that doesn't really count. I want a new Jak and Daxter game that is not a spin-off or a filler like Daxter (the game) was.

Im not saying it didn't have good games, but trust me, Nintendo's handhelds sold way more than PSP did, since THEY ACTUALLY PUT GOOD GAMES ON THEIR CONSOLES. Sony isn't good for marketing handhelds so far, if they were it would have as many good games as the 3DS has or close to that by now. They are better with Home Consoles, im sure everyone else will agree with me on that. : Sorry to dissapoint you, but PSP was not the greatest handheld ever. At least not sales wise. And that 80 million is even more impressive when you consider it was in the same generation as the greatest handheld ever, the DS.

Kodakliv 558 Posted January 30, 2014 When I had the vita I only had 2 games for it. Hot Shots Golf World invitational and DJ Max Techinca but then sold cause that was all I was interested in
MasterRoxas13 340 Posted January 30, 2014 The PS Vita should get more games, but they should also release a PS Vita Slim worldwide. They can walk and chew game at the same time you know. How can you guys say that the PSP is a failure and that Sony does not know how to handle the handheld market, if the PSP is one of the top ten best selling consoles/handhelds of all time? it was not as successful as the DS but it was still a success. Setrex 1,031 Posted January 30, 2014 I agree that the Vita needs more games, I myself only own 6 Vita games since I bought one back in 2012 and I don't even own Uncharted, Gravity Rush or Persona 4. My problem lies with the memory cards. If they were cheaper then I'd buy a lot more games digitally for the device and actually re-subscribe back to Playstation Plus (at the moment I am using a friends account to download the free games that the PS+ offer to the PS3). The Vita does have a nice line-up of games but it suffers from port-itus. The indie games are just more expensive ports of their PC counterparts (though I know Cross-buy with the PS3 accounts for that), some of the games are watered down versions of something we are used to on a console (Uncharted & CoD for example) and the others are flat out ports of something we've already played (Persona 4: Golden & the upcoming Borderlands 2 are just two that come to mind). The console needs more original games like Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice and Gravity Rush but the problem is the three of those are new IPs and not many people will buy a Vita for them so we are basically back to the water downed versions of games we've seen on the consoles. At the moment I personally am playing Rayman Legends and Final Fantasy VI on my Vita, two games I cannot get on my 3DS so it suits me fine.
Ace326 79 Posted February 1, 2014 I bought the Vita and I am both pleased and disappointed. Its graphics are the best for a handheld, but its games are overall not that interesting. Half of the games on my Vita I got were games I already had on the PS3. Final Fantasy X/X-2 will be great on it as long as I have room on my 16GB memory card. Really aall I want is Minecraft, an Infamous type game, and a new Final Fantay Dissidia and I will be happy.
Shulk 8,623 Posted February 1, 2014 I honestly see no reason why I should get a Vita. I got a PSP despite the limited library, but the Vita has nothing on its library that interests me. The only game on there I could even consider getting is Sly 4, but there's a better version of that on the PS3 already, anyways.
