Trent Frederick 1 Posted January 30, 2014 This happens right after loading trophies. It stays on black screen...
Trent Frederick 1 Posted January 30, 2014 Just took the disc out and wiped it a little. Worked after putting it back in. So I will leave this post just in case someone encounters the same considering I couldn't find any posts on it. 1 Ruby Rose reacted to this

KhaosReaper7734 1 Posted January 30, 2014 Is the disk scratched heavily? If so I say go get it clean professionally.

Ventus_ 396 Posted February 28, 2014 Just because the problem was solved once does not necessarily mean it will not occur again. Was the disc merely smudged or is it actually scratched? A scratch is basically unfixable despite established methods such as using toothpaste or buying literal scratch remover. Once some years ago I had a freezing problem with a DVD of mine and when simply wiping it did not work though I could not actually see a scratch my best friend and I had gone out, bought scratch remover and applied it to whole disc, multiple times in fact. It yielded not a single bit of improvement. My mother's boyfriend who is an expert in most things electronic actually recently told me (as I recently discovered a scratch in another DVD) that the toothpaste method can actually make it worse. It's better simply to replace a scratched disc. A smudge would indeed be a minor issue easily wiped away. If the problem persists after the disc has been wiped, it's probably a scratch. But considering this thread is pretty old, I suppose the problem did not persist.
