Tails 6,692 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Let's face it, Kairi is pretty much the Sakura of the KH series. She was useless in KH1 and 2 and is still useless even when she can fight now. Just like how in the Naruto Sakura was sooooo useless in fights when she wad in Team 7 and was still useless even after she was trained by Tsunade and Shizune (and the only time Sakura did something useful was when she fought Sasori). But don't worry Kairi. If you're not as useless when you fight you won't be downgraded to TenTen's level. Edited January 19, 2014 by Tails

Nweintraub 630 Posted January 19, 2014 Actually, her character is the only thing similar to Sakura. The only difference is, I like Kairi better than Sakura. But I'll leave Kairi to be with Sora. & I'll let Sakura be with Sasuke, even though Sasuke is a criminal & Sakura is a bully.
Demyx. 10,064 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Blah blah blah Kairi sucks 'cause she can't kill stuff blah blah. Yeah seriously. I don't care for Kairi. But the constant bashing on her is just getting old now. Edited January 19, 2014 by Squirting Demyx 1 Dracozombie reacted to this
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER 358 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) I'll admit I've just started watching Naruto (because I'm a loser), but I don't really buy this. No offence. I actually see Sakura being closer to Sansa Stark in the GoT series, but I digress. See? The thing with Kairi is that she has a TON of potential and WANTS to help. Whereas Sakura... at least where I'm at, hasn't really expressed any desire to do so (and just stands there), and only seems to care about fawning over Sasuke. Kairi, on the other hand, would help, if people like Sora wouldn't keep telling her not to. Or if the series wasn't filled with bad and sexist writing, too many characters, and a thing about writing themselves into corners. Seriously. It is never going to be okay with me that they never explained why Kairi didn't fight more with her Keyblade after using it that first time. They literally explained nothing. How Riku got it, whether it's hers or not, if she dismissed it or just hid it somewhere, etc. This is exactly why there was so much uncertainty for the longest time about whether or not Kairi was a true wielder or not. And why there's still doubt about whether Destiny's Embrace is hers or not. Also... what exactly do you expect Kairi to do? Unlike everyone else (and Sakura in Naruto), she has NO fighting experience (though she still tries her best), and doesn't even have a proper weapon until II, and then Nomura effectively pushes her to the side (with no explanation as to why) for the rest of the duration of the game. That's not her fault. Plus, Kairi has done a lot with what she has, in my opinion. Like with her PoH powers in saving Sora (that she'll hopefully be able to use properly someday), evading capture, etc. And this was all BEFORE she even had a weapon. And personally, I think the point of all of this is that it's supposed to lead to massive character development in III. Kind of like how there was little to no info released about Aqua before BbS came out, and she arguably became the strongest and most important character in the game. Kairi's a real diamond in the rough, and it's sort of sad that a lot of people seem to forget that. So in short, I don't agree with you, but this is just my opinion. You don't have to agree with me, of course, and though I don't agree with it... I do respect your opinion, like I hope you will mine. But I do feel like people are too focused on only seeing worthwhile characters as "fighters" in today's world. But you can be strong in more ways than one. I mean, look at Naminé. Everyone would be lost without her, and she's arguably the most passive person in the series. Dave 5,715 Posted January 19, 2014 It's worth considering that she hasn't really had a ton of opportunities to fight. She was in a coma for most of KH1, and after she wakes up, the fight's been taken to the End of the World, and looking at how much the Invisibles and Darkballs kick my ass at level 50, I don't know how well Kairi would cope. In KH2, she's not even in the thick of things until halfway through the game. Once she gets her keyblade, there are some shots of her taking her pound of flesh, but after that, she and the rest of the team get blocked off by Luxord and Saix in their respective boss fights, and much the same when fighting Xemnas. Then, after KH2 is done, there's no reason for her to be fighting at all anyways. 3 Tigerruss, Cricket and Dracozombie reacted to this
DarkAvenger 88 Posted January 19, 2014 Actually in the beginning of Naruto part 2 Sakura did many useful things. And about Kairi now that she has a keyblade she will prove to be useful.
Junko 2,815 Posted January 19, 2014 Yet again, it's not really her fault she's never had an actual chance to fight, it's the writers. 2 Dracozombie and PikaLink91 reacted to this
MasterRoxas13 340 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Sora would still be a heartless if it was not for Kairi, which means that Riku and King Mickey would have never helped closed Kingdom Hearts, which means that Ansem the seeker of darkness would had to capture the princess of hearts again, leading to ALL the worlds falling into darkness. She been useful outside the fighting area .She is not like Sakura. Sakura has soooooo much potential every since her fight with Sasori but the writer throw her potential away. Sakura is suppose to be on par with Naruto and Sasuke but she is not Spoiler Alert The next time that Sakura will be useful again will be when she teams up with Naurto and Sasuke to fight the Ten tails KH2 was one of the last games in the series chronologically, she just got her's at the end of KH2 : their was no threat to her in between KH2 and KH3 so we can't just say, oh she is useless, when she just got her weapon and is being trained by Yen Sid to use it.Did you want her to fight Xemnas and get destroyed by him, or did you want her to take the mark of mastery with Sora and Riku, when she has no experience with the Keyblade? Kairi will have her time to shine in KH3. Edited January 19, 2014 by MasterRoxas13
Anonn0000 3,525 Posted January 19, 2014 Naaah Kairi's too nice to be Sakura. Sakura was kinda creepy and short tempored sometimes from what I remember. 1 PikaLink91 reacted to this
PikaLink91 58 Posted January 22, 2014 In what she has accomplished so far, yes, I admit that Kairi suffers a little from Sakura-syndrome. But like ~DawnStar2004~ said, she is way too nice to be a Sakura. Sakura is a shorttempered b*tch who constantly scolds Naruto, b*tches when she sees the oppotunity, and sits down crying when she should be doing something. So, to repeat myself, yes, Kairi suffers from Sakura-syndrome in usefulness, but in personality, no.
