The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted January 17, 2014 Hey there everyone, how's it going? You know, I've fought every single secret boss in the Kingdom Hearts series.(Except for the secret bosses of KH2 Final Mix and BBS Final Mix.) Since I've beaten them all time and again, I'd like to share my tips on how to beat them so that you guys and gals can be able to defeat them and feel the great satisfaction that comes with beating a secret boss! All right, let me list the secret bosses below. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.(Normal Version.) For the secret bosses here, I'd recommend you to fight them using Aqua, since she has Ventus' speed and Terra's strength, meaning she's the most balanced of the trio. Vanitas Lingering Sentiment: This is a particularly difficult secret boss, and you can find him in The Keyblade Graveyard by going to the Badlands after you beat the game. Honestly one of the most challenging I've fought in the Kingdom Hearts series. Heck, The Mysterious Figure is easier to beat than this guy! Anyways, the trick here is that Vanitas only has one life bar. You'd think that you'd be able to defeat him quickly, but the thing is that he has deadly attacks that can kill you in literally one blow. The way for you to tackle this troublesome foe is to have the Second Chance and Once More abilities so that you can be able to at least have a chance to live if he attacks you once. Also, you have to make sure you have Mine Square or whatever Mine spell that can be equipped to your character, and then use that attack, because when he comes rushing towards you and hits the mines, it deals damage. And that's pretty much it. The key here is to dodge and use Mine Square and try not to get yourself hurt, because if you heal yourself, Vanitas will heal himself, which will cause frustration for you, the player. After a few attacks, you'll probably get the Spellweaver Command Boost, and if that happens, try to fill it up so you can do that attack and hopefully deal the finishing blow. After you beat him, you receive the Void Gear Keyblade, which is pretty badass. The Mysterious Figure: This secret boss is loads of badass, and he's not actually as difficult as Vanitas, so you shouldn't have that much problems with him. He's located in The Land Of Departure. Now, the key here is to have Second Chance and Once More, and dodge his attacks and then use Barrier Surge or Thunder Surge or any surge attack, and you'd do well to have Leaf Bracer so you can heal yourself. Leaf Bracer allows you to heal even if an opponent attacks you. Just keep on going until you beat him. Oh, and you can't use Shotlocks because he never stays still for you to perform one. (Although I actually was able to hit him with the most powerful Shotlock which is Lightflow if I'm not mistaken. Oh, and I used Aqua for thit fight, and with the Vanitas fight too. ) After you beat The Mysterious Figure you get a Lightsaber looking Keyblade which I forgot the name of, lol. Kingdom Hearts.(Normal And Final Mix) The extra addition to the secret bosses in this game is Xemnas, because he didn't appear in the normal version of KH1. Kurt Zisa: He's located in Agrabah, you have to talk to Carpet to get to the fight. Okay, so this guy is practically an annoying secret boss, since from the beginning of the fight he blocks your use of magic, and in order to get the use of magic back, you'd have to destroy the purple orbs from his hands. After doing that, he'll make a sphere that can onlly be broken either by magic or by sending the fireballs he deploys right at him. After you break the magic sphere he falls on the ground, and I suggest you have Ars Arcanum or Ragnarok so you can get as many hits as possible. After this, he repeats the magic block, then the magic sphere, and he falls again. And right when your about to defeat him, he makes an annoying spinning attack that's almost impossible to dodge, so be sure to have some Hi-Potions or Elixirs with you, I strictly advise you have those items with you. And after that your pretty much good to go. If I'm not mistaken you receive an Ansem Report after defeating him. Lol, I'm typing this by memory, since I beat him a few months ago. The Phantom: You find him in Neverland's clock tower by going to Tinker Bell in Hook's ship with Peter Pan and talking to her. The Phantom isn't a difficult boss to fight, since you can glide a pretty safe distance from him. The first thing he'll do when the battle begins is put a timer on one of your party members. So the first thing you have to do when you start the battle is to use Stopra on the clock tower to stop the counter from counting down. You should be able to buy your party members plenty of time. When you notice that the counter is counting down again, simply use Stopra again. Now, as for the Phantom himself, you inflict damage on him by attacking the orb he has under his cloak which changes color. White means melee attacks, red means fire, yellow means thunder, and blue means blizzard. Make sure to stay away from him when he spouts a purple mist kind of thing and you'll be good to go. After you finish this battle you unlock the spell Stopga. Trust me, this boss is loads of easy. Ice Titan: You fight this fellow in Olympus Coliseum in The Gold Match. This fight is incredibly easy, as the only thing you need to do is deflect the ice shards he throws at you until you stun him, then hit him in the head, dodge his attacks, and repeat the process until his HP drops completely. You obtain the Diamond Dust Keyblade by defeating him. It's a useful fight for leveling up, since you can fight him as many times as you want in the Coliseum. Oh, and be sure to be at a considerably high level, because his ice shards deal lots of damage. Sephiroth: You fight him in Olympus Coliseum in The Platinum Match. When it comes to this awesome villain, there's not really much of a secret to beating him. This fight is about sheer skill and careful execution of your attacks. Be sure to have the ability MP Haste equipped, since it will be useful in the fight. MP Haste allows you to recover MP relative to the damage you take. Also be sure to have as many Ethers and Elixirs as you can, and use all the abilities you may have at your disposal. Attacks like Ars Arcanum, Strike Raid, Sonic Blade and Ragnarok work well, especially since some of these attacks basically make you immune to his attacks. Oh, and be sure to be at a very high level when facing him, since he can kill you in one shot if your not prepared. Be sure to dodge or block his attacks, and make sure to stop him every time he tries to inflict Heartless Angel, which is the special attack he uses to leave you with no MP and with only one HP point. After defeating him you obtain the One-Winged Angel Keyblade. Xemnas/Unknown: We all know this guy is Xemnas, but back then he was simply referred to as unknown. He appears only in the Final Mix version of the game, and so far, he seems to be one of the only secret bosses that ties in to the story, since he appears in the series after KH1. Here, you should definitely have Tinker Bell, who is practically the best summon in the game, as she restores your health constantly. Be sure to have her in the battle, have a few Ethers and Elixirs or Hi-Potions, and your good to go. This, like the Sephiroth battle, comes down to sheer skill. It's one hell of a fight, and the attacks he uses are cool. If I'm not mistaken you get a Secret Report after you beat him. (My memory is a little hazy so forgive me if I'm wrong, lol.) Kingdom Hearts 2(Normal Version) For this game, be sure to be at a very high level, since the only secret boss you encounter in this version of KH2 is old gray locks. Sephiroth: This time around, Sephiroth has a whooping fifteen life bars! I have to say that this is one of the most fun secret bosses I've fought in the series, and he's very challenging if your at a low level. Basically here it's the same as in KH1: stock on Ethers and Elixirs, block his attacks and use special attacks to turn the battle in your favor. The main difference here is that he's much faster, especially when you drop his HP down to at least five life bars. After you defeat him you go to Cloud to tell him that Sephiroth wants to settle things, then you go to Sephiroth again, and then your treated to an epic battle royale between the two warriors, and in the end Tifa gives you the Fenrir Keyblade, which shockingly, is more powerful than the Ultima Weapon. But yeah, anyways, that's pretty much it when it comes to fighting him. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance There is only one secret boss here, and he's fairly annoying, but with enough skill and determination, you can pull through. Julius: First off, with this guy, you can fight him with Sora or Riku. The key here is to dodge as much as possible and use Ballonra and Ballonga spells. (Ballonra to me is more effective than Ballonga.) Also make sure to be at a high level, since he can pound you easily if your unprepared. Keep on fighting him and beware when he gets his power boost, that is when you should be most wary. After defeating him, you get the Ultima Weapon. I have to say, this was the only disappointment I had with the secret bosses in the series, because I had come to expect something incredibly intimidating like in the past games in the series, but hey, at least a secret boss is a secret boss, right? Well then, those are the tips that you can use to your leisure to conquer those pesky secret bosses that have made your life impossible. I hope that I've been able to be of help in any way, and well, let me all know what you think of these tips! I hope they were helpful to all of you! Now go on, and enjoy your Kingdom Hearts games to their fullest! 5 Aang, Ruby Rose, Kirie and 2 others reacted to this

xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted January 17, 2014 Option 1: Dodge like a boss Option 2: Stick your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye. For Vanitas I usually hide behind a rock, lock on, then use raid attacks and mines like the chicken I am owo 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
