Guest Posted March 18, 2015 Neena suddenly sprung out from a dark corridor, leaping and slashing down with her broadsword with huge amounts of strength. Once landed upon the ground she disappeared into a new dark corridor in the ground, reappearing farther away. She held out her crossbow with one hand, and fired off several shots that halfway through she cloaked with dusk to make them invisible. "The more I fight you, the more I hate you. I didn't think that was possible. But I suppose that this is going to be a night of firsts." Neena called to Brooklyn, still donned in her Dusk Armor. Suddenly she sprung back into action, charging towards Brooklyn, creating a large variety of weapons of dusk, that moved with her. Upon reaching her target, she immediately began to sweep with broadsword as the other weapons stabbed and sliced towards her opponent. In the middle of this move she switched into her Dawn Wrap, and all the weapons she had exploded in a huge burst of Dawn. But Neena herself continued her own barrage of strikes, flowing gracefully from movement to movement, flipping, teleporting, and rolling all around in attempts to throw Brooklyn off. Each shot at Brooklyn was blocked or dodged, save the occasional scrape from a slash or two that went his way. But there was no more time for games. "Hate... Why do you hate the very thing you are? You feign righteousness, when you've never even stopped to think of the millions of lives you ruined, cut short, even the people who were connected to Wielders, but not ones themselves. All you've done is stoop to the level of the ones who harmed you." Brooklyn felt his Keyblade charge with energy, dodging every move he could, blocking every strike he could. "You would kill anyone, even your own kids at this point, if they just so happened to be chosen by this thing. You don't even know what they would do with it. This key is no more than a sword, in reality. What it means is it's truth. This key was one I used to swear an oath to my team, to my home, to the people I love, so I have more reason to beat you! I have more right to! This key means I accept my evil, I accept my sin, if it means I can do what is necessary to save my friends, my comrades, my world, and my life! And you killing me here will not help me in that goal! My evil is that I want to save everyone I can, so I'll kill whatever dares attack them. And I'll win." (Couldn't find the vocal-less track, which fits better, but oh, well) From that instant forth, Brooklyn predicted her next Teleport location, forcing closed every Dark and Light portal in the area, his Keyblade grew long and began to sparkle like a gemstone. "Scythe Recoil Rock active..." He drew his blade back, and with great speed, slashed at Neena as she reappeared, and another, and another, the blade continued to grow longer and longer, wider and wider, the strokes faster and faster. Left, up right, spinning slash, upper left, downwards, the slashes and stabs at this point reached though the hole of the arena. Teleports, slashes generating energy waves at the brunt of them, he kept slashing everywhere, in every direction, hitting in a area of effect. The blade only grew larger, cutting the land of the arena, the sides, everything there was. Even if he didn't hit her, he would bury her in the limits of the arena, he refused a loss. If it came to it, a draw was necessary. The slashes kept coming, at this point he already had preformed nearly a thousand slashes in the area. Brooklyn refused to allow her any sort of victory here, layering his strikes with portals linked to the Dark and Light portal areas, he produced shots cleaving though as much as he could. The arena was, for the most part, toast, Brooklyn's incredibly high-speed slashes had cut rubble into sand, the pile of what was once the Arena sat with an already staggering one-thousand ninety-two strike attack, Above the area, as far as he could get out, he opened portals to both the Dark and Light realm, he took the Keyblade, and his last set of main slashes was about to begin. First, a long Horizontal, then following that, a diagonal downward strike from the end-point of the last slash, a diagonal upward slash after that, and then another downward, still staying to the points, intersecting the lines he made in the air with the blade, he drove the blade in a diagonal up once again, creating a five-pointed star. His arms then retreated back, bubbles of pure shadow generating at each point, he aimed a stab at the center of the star and executed it quickly. The arena filled with beams of pure darkness pouring onto the area, the only safe area was exactly behind Brooklyn. But he was on the move. Along the beams of Darkness, the star dragged him, at full force, right to the center of the Light portal first, he shot threw it, the beam being slightly cut off by the portal's limits, the light burned him, but he left it in the next instance, into the Darkness. Blasting through there. And finally, back to the Arena. The beams in each world exploded as Brooklyn let the Keyblade guide his final stab: Right at Neena. rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted March 19, 2015 {Dom} Dom didn't react to Ryonne for a few moments, her breath still ragged. "Yep." She managed at last. She pulled her hands away from her face and grasped her ocular patch. "Did you know I'm blind?" Dom asked suddenly. "I didn't use to be. I use to be able to see the dust floating in the air and the colors the sun turned the sky while it set. Now I can only visually see things with this." She waved her patch. "But everything I see with it is cold and clinical. None of the warmth of colors translates through it." While Dom didn't turn to face Ryonne, though she focused on him with her Energy Sense, "watching" the electrical impulses travel around his body. "I didn't remember seeing with my eyes till now." She continued, her breathing returning to normal. "It was a while ago, back when I was just a normal soldier. But...I was shown my last day as something normal. Everything changed then. I almost saw what changed it, but...I don't...want to. Like a part of me knows what happens next and doesn't want to relive it." The realization that she was repressing part of her returned memory sped up the conversion of her feeling of loss to anger. She gripped her ocular patch tightly and gritted her teeth. What ever that light was hadn't destroyed her yet. Loosening her grip, Dom put her patch back on. "Sorry about that." She said, her voice back to her normal, business tone. "You don't need my problems on top of yours." {Terranort} "Ah, yes." Terry said, mentally scolding himself for giving in to his discomfort. He could tell Severa didn't trust him, but he was use to that. Not trusting and not being trusted made things simpler. "Here's to hoping our friends don't join us too soon." Ultimus Grid 546 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) ~Elsewhere~ "Agreed." Ranco replied, trying to make haste to the entry point. Something wasn't quite right with the keyblade master. He was glad that he and Cordelia found what they came for. But he can't help shake the sensation that some event would occur. Ranco shakes his head, thinking: Miss Cordelia was right, I worry too often. while reaching closer to the window. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Neena stayed in her Dawn Wrap, feeling the need for the extra speed. That much was certain. She was forced to dip, duck and dodge constantly, nicking away the keyblade with her own sword. It required concentration, and several managed to graze her. The cuts stung, creating even more pain, especially since she was still suffering from the burns from earlier. But the Assassin gritted her teeth. This was nothing compared to the pain of those executed by tyrants, to the blistering heat of her burning home. Following the huge amount of slashes, her opponent had decided to go higher. She looked up to Brooklyn, and stood ready for whatever he was going to do. Then came one slash, she dodged. And again. And again. Five huge slashes, much slower than the previous ones. A pointless attack, or so she would have thought were she fighting some other person. But this was Brooklyn. And so far, he did nothing without a plan. Her answer came in the form of a huge amount of dark energy entering the arena in the form of beams. She swiftly switched to Dusk Armor, and braced for the impact. The pure amount of energy made it practically impossible to dodge, and instead of waste energy trying to, it would be far more effective to attempt and deflect the energy. She pulled the darkness away from her whenever a beam reflected towards her, having it nearly miss. Of course, manipulating someone else's dark energy was much more difficult than her own, and the pure force of the attack made it difficult even to make it slightly change course. Losing energy towards the end, Neena failed to deflect the laser, and it blew right into her. She was sent sprawling. Neena slid, and began to try to stand. But then she saw the final blow. A stab coming right at her at an incredible speed. "Ha. Good move." She spat out, blood leaking out the side of her mouth. The stab hit dead center, where he was aiming. The Assassin screamed, the collective wounds etching the feeling of terrible terrible pain into her very essence. Darkness and light seemed to practically flow out of her, Neena's forms dissipating, the final bits of her protection fleeing. Neena fell to her knees. Her head was hung, like she had lost consciousness, fallen asleep, or had simply lost the will. Suddenly, voices echoed all around. "You are nothing." Multiple voices, each with their own tone were saying the same words at the same time. There was no visible source. " You claim that my viewpoint is wrong. You have done nothing to prove me incorrect! Think about it. This chick wants to exterminate something that has done nothing but cause harm and misery to her. Let's tell her how much misery she's caused! That'll show her! Make her feel regrets! Yeah! Go team! Hero time! Instead, let's actually think for a second. Hmmm. Why does she want to kill me? Oh right, I'm holding this thing! I'm gonna smack her with it until she passes out! Woo! Hero time! Come on, if you actually wanted me to change my viewpoint, you should've changed your methodology. Not that it matters. Even you have failed to prove anything other than the Keyblade is a weapon borne from hatred and greed, capable only of destruction and tyranny." Neena's head raised again, her eyes constantly changing color, purple, yellow, blue, and back again. The voices grew louder. "I have sacrificed my life to end the foul presence of the Keyblade, and if I was going to fail, I would have done so already! You say I stooped to their level. Did I burn down their village? Did I break an innocent child's heart? Did I force peasants to work for my pleasure in conditions unacceptable for even animals? No. I only stopped that behavior. Fun fact: I've never killed a non-keyblader. I did not start it, they did, completely unprovoked. All I have done is end it." The voices grew angrier and noisier, like a furious crescendo. All of the energy that had leaked out of Neena suddenly flew back into her. Now, it was actually her mouth moving, though her tone was calmer and quieter than the voices had been. "You are one more step towards that end that I have sought my entire life." Neena's hands burst alive, light and dark energy in their purest forms being created and flowing from her palms all over her body. She slowly stood up, ripping the keyblade from her opponent's hands and throwing it aside. It would return, but that mattered not. Neena pulled out from thin air two long blades, of light and darkness. "You have done nothing but underestimate my will and insist that I am mistaken without proof. Right now, I am planning on upsetting both of those." Neena became nothing but a blur, darkness and light trailing behind the blades that she swung, powered by her hatred and indomitable will. Several seconds of impossibly fast slashes passed by, before Neena stood tall again in front of Brooklyn. The Assassin was covered in burns, scratches, blood, and bruises. Not to mention the large stab wound in her chest, currently covered by light that was staving off the negative effects of such a wound. But the thing that was completely unmistakable, was the look in her eyes, one of absolute determination, of a person that would not, could not stop until their goal was reached. The swords disappeared from her hands, she drew her arms back, then threw them forward. A huge blast of light and dark energy exploded from her and hit Brooklyn. And the winner is Neena! ~~~~ "Don't be ridiculous Dom. At the moment, I'm the leader of this group, and a good leader makes sure all of his people are okay. Lay anything you want on me. That's what I'm here for." Ryonne said after Dom had finished. Silence for a couple of seconds. "Okay, that sounded cheesy, but that is besides the point." The Swordsman said, smiling slightly at his own ridiculousness. This whole group dynamic had completely thrown him off from his usual self, but that was okay. Being so serious and cold all the time would not have helped in these situations. ~Elsewhere~ Cordelia grabbed Ranco once they neared the window, then jumped out with her ally, twisting the air around them to slow their fall. They landed on the asphalt next to the museum. Practically as soon as they landed, an alarm began to blare from the building. "That's what I was worried about." Cordelia muttered, running towards the nearest car. She hopped in quickly disarming the alarm using some car savvy she had picked up around here. A quick hotwiring later, and they were out of there. ~~~~ Marcus glanced to the bartender. "Well, thanks for the conversation and drinks, but we have to get going. Come on man." Marcus said, standing up, and gesturing for Evan to follow him. They walked out of the bar, and Marcus discretely created a portal of light back to base, and they went through it. Behind them in the black market the portal closed. ~~~~ "Yeah, yeah. As long as he doesn't die in those stupid games he's free to do whatever he wants with his life." Severa dismissed Terry's comment, still refusing to even glance at him. She kept her eyes upon the door of the base, and upon reaching it, swiftly entered. Inside was Marcus and Evan, whom had just come in from a portal of light. Cordelia and Ranco came in behind Severa and Terranort. The Dragoon set down a sphere of some sort. Severa set down her own bag. Marcus looked at both objects. "I assume those are the two things we wanted to get to the contestants." He said, cocking an eyebrow at both of the women. Cordelia nodded, while Severa simply grabbed the device, and placed her fist into the hole. Instantly, from the other side of the device came a small portal. On the other side of the portal, one could clearly see those of the Desert Group, sleeping soundly in their beds. Severa smiled. "Great! It works." She said, opening the bag she had put the items she and Terry had gathered with her other hand. "Maybe you should have at least examined it a little bit before simply throwing it on like that." Marcus commented. "Psh. You know someone would've had to put their hand into it eventually anyway." Severa retorted. "Marcus is right. You should be more careful from now on." Cordelia agreed. "Man, you guys are a bunch of stiffs." Severa continued, grabbing items from the bag and placing them through the portal. Then she spotted something. "Oh! How sweet! He made a sword for her!" She said, seeing the katana Derik had made. "Romance sure has a different definition where you come from." Marcus mentioned, smiling slightly. "Shut it softy. A sword is a great gift to give to your wife." Severa countered. She grabbed the katana from where it was resting in the Cat Village. Without hesitating, she placed the sword in the lodge where the Forest Group was currently resting. "Oh! And she made him cookies!" Severa exclaimed, smiling broadly. "See, now that's a more logical gift to give to your significant other." Marcus said laughing. Severa put the plate of cookies with the rest of the items for the Desert Nomads. And with that, Severa pulled her hand out of the device, and the portal disappeared. Perfect. Cordelia nodded to the entire group. "Our first move has been made successfully." Morning all! It is the dawn of another exciting day! I'll give you all some time to wake up before letting you know what you're doing next. The Watcher's voice echoed all around wherever contestants were sleeping, telling them to awaken. However, there was one major difference in their surroundings from the night before. By each of the camp sites, there was a pile of various objects, each one belonging to a contestant of that group. Forest Group: Robert: Collapsible steel bo staff Neena: Artifacts, and the abilities that correspond with them, including the use of Will Form. Rija: A katana, imbued with the power of the Wild Reign. Marked with a note that read only: "From - D" Meadow Travelers: Nikolai: Royal Will, and a pair of greaves Ryonne: Rifle sheath Brooklyn: A scroll on techniques for controlling and utilizing one's inner darkness Dom: A book full of stuff Desert Nomads: Mes: Classy Stone Derik: A plate of butterscotch cookies. Upon consumption, they increase the eater's capabilities to incredible levels, but eats away at their stamina at a high rate. (Post is incomplete, don't post quite yet) (Honestly, that shouldn't have worked, especially considering being afflicted with a shot from the beam making you completely vulnerable to the aftermath explosion(As you said so in post, the shot hit you, even with resisting it with your dark form, the aftermath explosion would have caught her), which shielding from earlier blows and the initial beam shot should have drained away any residual energy left, then Neena's blow hitting for a double KO, like last time with Ryonne and Derik, but OK. I do find it funny however that she thinks she won this fight with Brooklyn absolutely, next match Brooklyn will have the experience of actually using Dark Form effectively(I hope), and not wildly like used here, she's gonna be mince meat.) (On a corner note, it is interesting that the final stab (Which, guided by a gate of light) And intended to do a heart release on hit didn't work on her. Maybe because that power isn't known yet, but who knows. Regardless, you did well for a fight with this Brooklyn. I'm very proud of you. First person to actually win a direct fight with me, one on one, regardless of even being weakened. I won't be playing easy with you anymore, Yuffie.) Marcus commented."Psh. You know someone would've had to put their hand into it eventually anyway." Severa retorted."Marcus is right. You should be more careful from now on." Cordelia agreed."Man, you guys are a bunch of stiffs." Severa continued, grabbing items from the bag and placing them through the portal. Then she spotted something. "Oh! How sweet! He made a sword for her!" She said, seeing the katana Derik had made."Romance sure has a different definition where you come from." Marcus mentioned, smiling slightly."Shut it softy. A sword is a great gift to give to your wife." Severa countered. She grabbed the katana from where it was resting in the Cat Village. Without hesitating, she placed the sword in the lodge where the Forest Group was currently resting. "Oh! And she made him cookies!" Severa exclaimed, smiling broadly."See, now that's a more logical gift to give to your significant other." Marcus said laughing. Severa put the plate of cookies with the rest of the items for the Desert Nomads. And with that, Severa pulled her hand out of the device, and the portal disappeared. Perfect. Cordelia nodded to the entire group."Our first move has been made successfully." Morning all! Forest Group:Robert: Collapsible steel bo staffNeena: Artifacts, and the abilities that correspond with them, including the use of Will Form.Rija: A katana, imbued with the power of the Wild Reign. Marked with a note that read only: "From - D" Meadow Travelers:Nikolai: Royal Will, and a pair of greavesRyonne: Rifle sheathBrooklyn: A scroll on techniques for controlling and utilizing one's inner darknessDom: A book full of stuff Desert Nomads:Mes: Classy StoneDerik: A plate of butterscotch cookies. Upon consumption, they increase the eater's capabilities to incredible levels, but eats away at their stamina at a high rate. Marked with a note that read only: "From - R"The Doctor: A rapier of ice, and ice magicRexon: Earth manipulation magicAuron: A deck of magic cards and a collection of various pins.Brooklyn woke, realizing he didn't have a new memory, he had figured he lost. "I probably couldn't handle the Darkness... I wonder what happened after I let it take over last night...?" He rubbed his head, looking around, a pile of new supplies was delivered... "Ryonne, wake up, we got an unexpected gift, you need to see this."Derik woke in the forge, his team returning with a worried look on their face. "S-sir, we grabbed the wrong Katana, and then when we were waiting for our king to let us into his chambers, so he could at least see the beautiful handiwork before we returned with his version, we set it down for a mere instant..." Derik's face contorted with anger, but he only grimaced as he rose. "That one will make it to where it belongs, knowing the Watcher, he handed it to her just to spice things up. Take the one to your king, I will forge my weapon now."(On mobile, not gonna type out a forging process for myself here.)And it was done- the blade was sharp as a mother's disapproving glare, but solid and strong as a well-tempered greatsword. It was a buster sword like none other, using an electric core of his design thst was far more powerful than the last, and Graphine to transfer the electricity throughout and to armor the blade, the swords edge was and core was made of the incredibly dense metal he had made, it was stunning in beauty. Next, he made a power booster and particle compressor for his Beam Saber out of the same material. There was still some left over, which he left with them. He moved to the teams building of refuge and took notice in the pile of supplies. "A package of cookies under a note, saying they were for him, from "R". "Mmh... They have a familiar scent to them. It won't kill me to have one..." He ate one of the little see he was given, he felt like his muscles were growing and bones hardening, he felt much stronger, but with thst, his stamina drained completely aeay, causing him to fall unconscious. Ultimus Grid 546 Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) Bronshu sat up on his cot when he awakes. He stretches his arms, still feeling a bit tired from sleeping. He closes his eyes and yawns, scratching his back. "So, what crazy stuff are we in for today?" (I'll put up Rexon and the two memories he got sometime tomorrow. It would probably take awhile to do and I just don't feel like writing it all today.) (Edit: Here I go again TIMES FOUR) Rexon slowly opens up his eyes. He sits up on the bed he slept in. Right before he was dragged into that arena battle. Leaning his head on the left hand, he mumbles: "Ugh, that fight wasn't too forgiving. Those guys were something else. That guy with keyblades doing things I didn't know were possible. Like making rides out of the keys. I've got to learn how to do that. Then there's that lady. Her skills are unlike anything I've seen. But she fought like having a hatred towards something. But to what I wonder? Anyway, it didn't feel right to fight them out of the blue. Even if it meant getting back a memory. I wish we met under better circumstances. Speaking of memories, I have a couple to sort out." Rex crossed his legs and closed his eyes. He concentrates on the one he got in the jungle. /Rex finds himself on a wide, circular platform. Four towers bursting with flames stand tall and far away from each other on the outside of the platform. The entire atmosphere of the place was covered in fog. To him the place felt mysterious, private, and cool. Across the platform stood a single man who looked like to be in his mid forties. He had his eyes closed, arms crossed, and a keyblade leaning on the right shoulder. Rex called out his own and dashed toward him. Hearing Rex coming, the man opened his eyes. He Quickly blocks Rex's downward slash and pushes him back. The man retaliates by performing his own three hit combo. Rex blocks the first and dodges the second, but ends up getting knocked down by the third hit. Rex jumps back on his feet fast as fast as he could, barely parrying the mans' sideward swipe. They both make multiple clashes with each slash, strike, swing, and swipe they make. They collide keyblades and a gust of air blew around them. The man smiles calmly and takes a few steps back. "Alright. That will be all for today." The man raises his keyblade up and a light shines out. The whole environment around them flies up in sparkles of light. They now stand in a courtyard with a staircase leading to a castle bound to mountains by chains. Breathing a little fast, Rexs says: "Already? Can't we practice for a bit longer?" "Rex, you've done more than enough. After four other training sessions one must take rest. Trying to go for more while exhausted is unpleasant for one's health and heart." the man replies. Rex: "Yeah, you're right." "Come along Rexon. I do believe it's about time for dinner." The man dismisses his keyblade and walks up the stairs. Sending away his own, Rex responds: "Yes master Ranco." and walks not too far behind him. Rex opened his eyes and breath all relaxed. Smiling, he thinks: That's right. I have a master. Someone I admired, respected, and wanted to show my dedication to protecting the worlds from those who want to take over or destroy them. Okay, one more memeory. Rex closed his eyes again and focuses on the remaining memory. /This time Rex was at the desk in his old room in the structure. He was writing away in a notepad on how someone with a keyblade must protect the innocent, maintain the peace of worlds, and defend them from any planet threatening force. He was still writing when he heard some knocking at his door. He gets out of his seat and goes to it. When he opened it, a messenger stood out in the hall. Clearing his throat, the messengers said: "Rexon Wrox, I have some news to inform you regarding your master." Rex: "Something about master Ranco? What is it?" Messenger: "I, um, regret to say this, but master Ranco is no longer alive." Rex's eyes bursts wide open. He couldn't believe what he just heard. Rex: "W-wait. What? Master Ranco is dead? How?? What happened to him?!" Messenger: "There was a disastrous situation to the world he was stationed on. A planet busting asteroid was reaching it at an alarming rate. With not much time, the master pointed his keyblade to it and fired a massive blast at the object. He managed to destroy it and save that world, but gave up his entire life force in order to accomplish the task. Then his body faded away into nothingness. Again, I'm sorry to tell you this." The messenger closed the door and walked away. In his room, Rex just stood in place. He didn't want to take what he heard as something true. He couldn't. Crashing on his bed, Rex buried his head into his arms. Rex: "No. Master Ranco. No." The only thing coming from him the rest of the day were tears. Rex was none too happy with that memory. He held his head in his arms, shaking it a good while. "So I remember my master in one piece and find out he's dead in another?! AAaaaaagh!!" Lifting his head up, Rex sees something on the end of the bed. Curious, he reaches for it with his right hand. Closer up, it looks like a scroll with a brown, geo like seal. What Rex found weird was it had his name on it. He tears off the seal and opens the scroll. There was a bunch of text on it that somehow seemed familiar to him. All of a sudden Rex got a headache that lasted a few seconds. He looks at the scroll and sees it blank. All of the text on it was gone. Trying to think, he remembered something. He had magic on earth-like alteration and controlling it. Scratching his head, he thinks: I have earth magic. So it isn't just memories themselves I forgot. But wait. How did this scroll get here? Daniel Black 1,981 Posted March 26, 2015 Auron~ "Yaaaawn... that was such a night..." Auron said as he opened his eyes, still sleepy, or so he thought.. his last memory showed that he died.. at least that´s what he saw... everything was in blank.. "... Sigh... well, I´m not gonna find answers here." he said while reaching out his belongs, checking it he found various things that he didn´t had last night: A deck of cards and many pins. "Well, this will be useful I guess, I was more confortable with my game.. but still.. " he muttered as he looked to the broken device, as he touched it it became a pin, then it broke up. "Sigh now I remember.. It was a Psych.. or something like that.. well I don´t think I can fix itt hehehe... aw..." He said quite dissapointed, when he heard a scream.. or it was lyke a cry? as he went out he saw Rexon standing with a scroll in hand.. his face was in sadness, surely a painful memory returned. "Hey Rex! are u alright?" Reiner ~ "Nrrg... no.. please.. don´t leave... please... NO!" Reiner shouted as he suddenly woke up, he was in pain or so... it was a dream? or a memory? his heart was beating fast, like if he saw something awful or terrible. HE couldnpt remember it clearly.. however, many terms came into his mind: Ancients, Magic, Eidolons, Moogles, crystals.. and a name... Illeana. "Who is she?.. why it pains me to remember it? " Reiner muttered as he get up from the floor, taking a look around, it was morning already, a new day, and a new challenge to begin.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted March 26, 2015 {Dom} Dom still didn't like having laid her problems on Ryonne, but she felt that was more a problem with showing weakness then anything else. She was about to tell him she was alright now and hoped he'd buy it, when Brooklyn pointed out the pile of items. Standing up, Dom walked over to the pile, detecting several energy signatures in the pile. Including one she knew. "I was wondering if you'd show up." She said, dryly. She held out a hand, palm up, and waited. The large book at the heart of the pile levitated up and opened. Most of the pages were blank, while others looked like they had been redacted. <It took time to find a way, Mistress.> the book said into her mind. <I had to sacrifice most of my memory in order to ensure my arrival would not cause undo notice. They should return in time with yours.> It floated over to Dom, tilting in midair to land in her waiting arm. Words appeared on the bank page it was open to. At your command. Dom smirked slightly, but it didn't have much humor in it. She knelt down, pulling off her small backpack. As she suspected, the book fit easily and naturally in it. She had mixed feeling about the book, which made her wonder if it had been the source of the light she remembered. {Terranort} Terry watched carefully to make sure all items were handed over and sent through. Though he didn't show it, he relaxed slightly after the portal closed. Now, he just had to hope he had given his...friend a big enough edge.
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted March 28, 2015 Standing up, Bronshu stretched his arms and legs. Looking out, he says: "What? There's some stuff for people? Let's see...." He looks around the whole camp and sees a few several people with new things. Crossing his arms, Bronshu says: "Looks like there's nothing for me. Not like I'd want anything else. I have what I need." He digs in his right pocket and pulls out his three pins: fire, lightning, and gravity. "Plus I have this now." He calls out the sword Excalibur in his free hand and dismisses it. (I don't know if calling out something like Excalibur so freely is okay or not. I can change it if you want Mine.) Rexon turned when he heard Auron come in. "Auron. Hey there. Sorry for the noise. I had a nightmare, a real frightening one. But I'm fine now." Putting the scroll in his pocket, Rex puts a hand on Aurons' shoulder and said: "How about we see what the others are doing huh?" and walks out the room Rex didn't like lying to his friend, but he wasn't in a good mood to talk on what he just remembered. So he walks out and takes a look around.
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted April 25, 2015 Neena blinked her eyes open slowly. She was in one of the beds of the lodge that the group had found to stay at overnight. Of course, that was definitely not where she had been throughout the course of the night. No... She had fought someone. A keyblader, particularly strong, almost to the point of ending her. But she was stronger than that. She stood up and stretched, and in that process quickly realized that she no longer had the wounds sustained through the duration of the battle. Interesting. Likely just an effect of the Watcher's magic. She descended the stairs and walked towards the center of the building. Across the living room, Rija exited the kitchen, a broad smile on her face. "Morning!" She said brightly. "Yeah, I noticed." Neena said, her tone a little grouchy. Rija kept her neutral smile. Then both pairs of eyes turned towards the table. Upon this table were several items, things that hadn't been there before. Neena, intrigued, walked over to the pile of stuff. She recognized most of them as weapons, her weapons. Magical artifacts, their names, their abilities. She smiled as she picked each one up in turn. They felt good in her hands. She dismissed most of them in a cloud of darkness or bright flash of light. They would come back when they were called. Rija picked up the katana, it felt right. And... she recognized the crest on the blade. She couldn't remember where she knew it was from, but it was definitely part of her past. The note said it was from D. Rija immediately smiled. Somewhere, he was looking out for her. Neena glanced to the Soldier. "You seem really really happy about that blade." Neena stated inquisitively. Rija nodded. "It's from my husband. His first name starts with D." She said. "But come on, I made breakfast. It's in the kitchen. And, where's Robert? Robert! Come on down, it's like Christmas morning down here!" In the shadows of the main room of the hall, a new boy awoke. Kyle Conner in all his glory was in the game. ~~~~~ Nikolai jumped before Ryonne did at Brooklyn's words. "Sweet!" He exclaimed, finding his full battle gear in the pile. He snapped on the greaves, their familiar weight almost comforting. He pulled his old saber out from his sheath, and threw it into the distance. Wouldn't be needing that anymore. He grasped Royal Will in his right hand, then tossed it into their and it transformed into a powerful revolver, he caught it in his left hand before holstering it. Ryonne stood up from his cot, glancing around at the others who were generally excited with their gifts. Dom had received a book, Nikolai weaponry, Brooklyn a scroll. But for him, there lay nothing but a scabbard, similar to the one he already had. He picked the device up, and immediately remembered what it was. A rifle was built in, once he tapped this button... A trigger and sights popped out from opposite sides of the gun, and the barrel extended on the end of his new weapon. Ryonne hit the button again, pulled his blade from its place by his side and slammed it into the new sheath. Perfect fit. "I cannot help but wonder who would give us stuff like this." Ryonne said, wondering out loud. "The Watcher of course. Who else?" Nikolai answered easily, messing around by practicing his kickboxing. Ryonne shook his head. "If the Watcher wanted us to have this equipment, he would have given it to us from the beginning. Instead, he deemed it too powerful, and took it from us." Ryonne replied. Kinzoku stood now, metal balls floating absentmindedly around her. She smiled and shrugged. "Perhaps he wanted us to develop in strength?" She said. Of course she received no item, but that didn't make her feel bad. She liked her ingots and magic just enough the way they were. Ryonne shook his head again. He could not place his finger on it, but something felt a little off about how everything had just gone down. ~~~~ Mes strode over towards the pile of items, having awoken. One thing in particular grabbed her notice. A simply stone, a little shiny and smooth, but aside from that completely normal. She picked it up, and immediately felt the impression of choice upon her. The domain of sky, reign of blades, power of allies, and mystic strength of wonder. She knew these. Recognizing the choice she knew fit her best, she made the decision and the stone shattered into hundreds of tiny pieces. But, she felt her strength and knowledge increase by lots. She knew about things like dozens of different spells, different techniques to combine those spells with her keyblade, unique abilities that channeled her inner strength and translated it into pure magical power. She smiled, satisfied with herself. "Hey Derik, how much you wanna bet my fire will burn you now?" She taunted loudly, turning towards where she had seen him before. He was collapsed on the ground, cookie crumbs around his mouth. "Derik?" She questioned, walking towards him. The Doctor suddenly strode quickly to the passed out Derik, and knelt by next to him. "I believe it must be exhaustion. Considering that he had very little sleep last night, and had fought all day yesterday, he likely just had no energy left. Interesting that the last straw was eating a cookie though." The Doctor commented and diagnosed. Mes walked over towards them, and smiling, quickly cast a Curaga spell on Derik. The Doctor quickly turned towards her. "And when did you learn how to do that?" Mes shrugged, and gestured towards the pile of stuff. The Doctor glanced appraisingly over the few items remaining, then picked up a scroll that radiated cold. He broke the seal, and felt new power surge into him. He smiled knowingly. Yes, this power would do quite nicely. He picked up the rapier of ice that also lay there, and dismissed it into his book. Wielding two magics at a time felt very good indeed. ~Elsewhere~ A loud bang was heard very very far away. In a dark room, a figure throws his hands up exasperated. "Dammit! How did they get those?" The figure yelled. His voice was very familiar. The same bang sound. "Sir, we believe this interference to be the handiwork of the same people who broke into the Games Museum late last night. They stole only one thing, the portal device used for drops back in the beginning." A new voice stated, this one much calmer than the previous one. The first voice returned. "Can we get those stupid items out of there?" He cried again. "That would not be recommended sir. If we remove the items now, we also remove our reputations as infallible gods." "Yeah yeah, I know, I know." The figure clearly sighed loudly. "He's not going to like this though." "I know that sir." The figure grabbed something off a nearby console, a device that looked like a microphone. ~~~~~ Well well well I do hope you are all enjoying your gifts! Because that is what they are A gift from me to you See? I'm a benevolent guy Giving out gifts like it's your birthdays In any case We should be moving along soon. I recommend clearing out those campsites and getting going There's still a long way to walk Oh and you guys in the cabin There are some skis and snowboards for you in the closet It's a little snowy out there

"Damn fine cook of a wife I got!" Derik yelled, reaching for his coat so he could store it in his pocket, when he realized he had left it in the forest the day before. Chuckling, he looked over towards the smiting shop. "Next step is the coat, I guess. It's about time for me to get an upgrade... Thanks, to whoever got be back up. I still have one last job to do..." He walked over to the door, taking a deep breath, he walked away and back to the forge.(Not even gonna bother typing out this part. The coat-making process if FAR too long, just explaining the metalization of the fabric takes a few paragraphs.)And once the final stitch was lied down, Derik tied the stitch and closed the final knot. He donned the coat. "Heavy. Very, very heavy, this will server me for a few months..." the forge workers and seamstresses that watched him finish it off looked in awe: the fabric was a crushing weight for any of them, he wore it as if it were only slightly straining him. He put the new Buster Sword onto his back and the other advanced equipment on him, he was set.Brooklyn flipped through the scroll, reading it over quickly, he learned what he had done wrong in that match. With that, he stored the scroll on his person, and looked over to Ryonne. "You're thinking is quite right. This scroll has given me knoledge to something very powerful and how to use it. Such information would have given me an overwhelming victory last night after I was sent to a strange arena, it would have been completely unfair. As much as I hate to admit it, this 'game' is very 'fair'. Equipment and abilities like these would have let us kill nearly any enemy thus far without effort." Brooklyn nodded. "Some outside force definitely dropped these items to us."
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted April 25, 2015 "If that's true, then who left all this stuff?" Bronshu asked curiously. "Maybe it's from the other people here besides us and want to help out? Wait, no, that isn't right. For someone to come this area, leave things, and leave without making a sound doesn't make sense. Ugh, my head hurts. I'm too hungry to think straight." Diasor: "How does being hun-" "Not now Diasor." Bronshu responds abruptly. Walking around, Rexon was still a little depressed from his last memory. A real downer for a start of the day. Then he heard the Watcher's voice. Hiding his anger, he thinks: "Benevolent guy?" Now that's a lie. No where near it in fact. I caught a glimpse of who you really are back at the arena. Shaking his head, Rex continues walking, wondering who else is up and about.
Daniel Black 1,981 Posted April 28, 2015 "Mmmm so we have two options.. or the loud voice it´s telling the truth, which by the look of your faces it´s not even possible, or two; the people here with us are helping.. or maybe... mmm" Reiner stood up, scratching his head a little before finishing: "maybe these just fell from the sky. Divine help perhaps." Ridiculous answer indeed. After waiting for the by-process of making Derik´s tools, Auron was just as plain as bored, playing a little with the cards and pins he received. However, behind his face, his inner turmoil about the new memories waved inside him. "So if I´m dead, even if I return to home... I´ll still be..." he thought as he got up as seeing Derik walking outside the smith. "So, are we ready, right?" "Ngg... my head. Yikes... It hurts like if it just hit on something." Kyle got up from the floor as he took a deep look to his surroundings. It was a dark place, a hall perhaps. "Where the heck am I?" he said as he started to smell something.. It was like food, somehow it smelled delicious, making Kyle´s stomach to growl. Then he heard the voice of a woman saying "But come on, I made breakfast. It's in the kitchen. And, where's Robert? Guest Posted April 28, 2015 "Mmmm so we have two options.. or the loud voice it´s telling the truth, which by the look of your faces it´s not even possible, or two; the people here with us are helping.. or maybe... mmm" Reiner stood up, scratching his head a little before finishing: "maybe these just fell from the sky. Robert! Come on down, it's like Christmas morning down here!". Following the voice he reached a kitchen meeting with two girls, or so..."Emmm..." (That unconfortable moment when you know you are so screwed )"I'm almost set. I need one more thing... Someone to test this jacket'so strength. So, tough guy, think you can make a dent in my new jacket?" He asked, very proud of his handiwork.

He asked, very proud of his handiwork. "Well.. you invested some time on that one.. Let´s prove it the time was worthy." Auron said as he pulled out one card. "That time it worked against a beast. This time..." he thought as the card started to glow into a bright light, at the same time one of his pins started to glow, in sign of the pin allowing the cards to work. "Take that! Airslash!" As he finished the word the card flew transforming into a cutting edge made of air, it was almost like magic.. almost, and it was moving quickly to Derik. As he finished the word the card flew transforming into a cutting edge made of air, it was almost like magic.. almost, and it was moving quickly to Derik. The blast shot at him, but he took no precaution against it. The blast hit him, but it just sort of ...melted away on impact... in reality, the blast just couldn't penetrate his jacket, so is spread out into the air. Didn't change the slightly crooked smile on Derik's face, however. "Ha ha ha! I didn't even move! The worst that happened is the fabric wrinkled a little!" He drew his new buster sword, electrifying it on, the rest of his suit began to spark. "The outside is made of a graphine/titanium/gold mixture for the strength, weight, and flexibility the coat needed. Graphine has an added effect of being very good at conducting electricity, so when my blade is active, my suit now has some ability to shoot lighting in bursts." He pointed at a practice target, and threw a palm-heel strike. Lighting, straight from the outer edge of the suit, blasting right into the target. "...I was honestly doing that because I thought it would look cool. Didn't think it would work. But sweet!" He then went on to explain and almost ramble about the interior layers of the coat being of multiple materials, like lead lining in a few layers to make his suit practically immune to heat radiation getting through, and the like. He was obviously stoked. "But I'm not even too proud of it. What I'm proud of is..." he hefted the Heavy sword into tue air, rushing to the target from earlier -it was a strain to move that fast, but regardless he moved decently quickly- and stopped next to it, positioning the edge of the blade carefully on the side of the targer's holder, he merely let his hand drop, the blade crashed down with it, and despite its width, it's edge was so sharp it cut a very thin piece off of the target with minimum effort. He then moved to a near-by tree and did the same thing, save he aimed for the middle. The cut sliced all the way through the part of the tree the blade could reach, all the way through the roots. With that, he drew the blade back and hung it on his back. "It's so sharp and heavy it cleaves through things like a hot knife through butter!

Auron said as the card returned to him, putting it and the pin back into his pocket. "You know, you should open a blacksmith shop or something like that, you could become rich, or at least make some useful goods... or kill us in the process... ok bad idea, hahahha" Auron finished as he looked around. "So what do you think it will be the challenge for today?"

"So what do you think it will be the challenge for today?""Is it possible I could just have the armorial of a tank with a turret on top but still hit like a semi?" Derik laughed ad his own cheesy joke. "Anyhow, I get a feeling like where I live doesn't see much use out of black smith's. I'm from a pretty advanced time, I think. I mean..." he produced the beam Saber and turned it on. "Do sent get much more si-if than this, eh?" He sighed, stowing the blade again. If it wasn't made of some advanced really advanced technology, it likely would have been drained of power long ago. Looming to the bright sky, Derik replied to Auron's final question. "Something full of chaos. and undoubtedly hard. Especially with all this new equipment, the Watcher is gonna try and say our destiny even farther." He drew his buster sword, with a minimal amount of movement, he cleaved through the target from earlier, slamming the bode through the dirt and stone on the ground, basically digging it deep in the floor."But I bow to no force of destiny. There is someone out there, waiting for me. There are friends who are worried about me. A place I call home. Here I have you all. I hate getting attached to people. I loose them all, eventually. Normally I'm the only one left. But here, you've all lived and stuck around with me for a while, you've grown on me. So after this, I don't care what changes, we're all friends. And even if you of you dies, I'll resurrect you, even if it's only long enough to share a drink." He ripped the sword blade out of the dirt, thrusting the dirt off, he replaced it onto his back."Because these "Watcher's" play god. Such arrogance, enough to say that our lives are nothing more but a show for the bored of their world. And as such, I deny their power. They will not kill any of us. I refuse let them." Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted April 29, 2015 Robert walked downstairs, dark circles around his eyes. He's hardly slept last night. The memory... it was a bit much. Just as Robert had suspected, he'd been in a situation like this before, called The Experiment. It was the first time Robert had to fight for his life, and at least two of the friends he'd made wound up dead. But that wasn't the terrifying part. What was so disheartening was a conversation he'd had with one of the other subjects, he couldn't remember their name, about their lives back home. And you know what Robert had waiting back home for him? No one. Nothing. Nada. He'd grown up in an orphanage, and had trouble keeping good friends. He'd planed on starting a new life for himself, but as soon as he left the orphanage, but before he had much of a chance, he was abducted for the Experiment. And from what he could tell, this memory was from right before his abduction to the Amnesia Games. "What now?" Robert whispered to himself. He had no life to get back to, and after all that he'd been through, would he be able start a regular old existence? He doubted it. For the entire span of the Games, he'd been motivated by the thought that there were loved ones waiting for him. But now that that hope was blown to powder, what now? Why should he be keep fighting, keep resisting, keep hoping? He didn't know anymore. "Hey guys." Robert said, entering the room. He barely acknowledged Kyle. At this point, he'd grown used to other contestants coming and going. If he grew attached to this guy too, he might have to face losing him as well.
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted April 30, 2015 "If you don't mind, would you count me in?" Rexon asks as he enters the area. "Sorry for eavesdropping, I didn't want to interrupt anything. Just want to say I too want to help everyone out. Not just the people in our group, but to all the others as well. Back to where they belong and who matters to them. And if there's anything to take down the Watcher, I want to join in even more."
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted May 7, 2015 Rija looked to Robert, and smiled. "Morning. There are some eggs and pancakes in the kitchen. Take as much as you like, there's plenty to go around." She told him. Neena exited the kitchen herself, carrying a heaping pile of eggs with furikake. Furikake was like her ketchup, she put it on everything. This was the first campsite that actually had some, and it tasted so good. Then Neena noticed the newcomer. That familiar stench. A blade of darkness materialized flew towards his throat. "Damned keyblader, what are you doing here?!" She yelled at him. Rija immediately ran over to Neena. "Hey! Chill out!" She tried to calm the bloodthirsty girl down. Neena began to shake her head... and then remembered. A past Neena came out of a dark corridor, into a lobby of sorts. Inside the lobby were a few other people, including a hooded man and a desk to sign up. She signed herself in, and left to go to her room, still thinking about the hooded man. Later, in the stands of a grand arena, two men were fighting, one with a metal suit, and the other captured by darkness. She sat alongside the hooded man from before. She remembered him as Jason. They chatted for a while, betting on the match, small talk, and personal information exchanges. Supposedly, he was here to win so that the power that the winner received did not fall into the wrong hands. Neena was not sure she believed him. But when she mentioned that she hated the keyblade, and wished to destroy its very essence, he fell very serious. That was when they really began to talk. He brought up points she had never heard before, and was never aggressive about it. Of course, she was quite the opposite, being vicious with her defense. But he carefully crafted every counter, like nothing she had ever heard before. Soon enough, she heard the announcer's voice. "Neena against Jason, match to begin soon!" The match was also incredibly close, one of the hardest fights she had ever fought. He was her counter in every way, with almost the exact same skill set but a bit more physically based than her. Throughout the fight, he continued to insist that she was wrong, that she could turn away from this plan of lifestyle before it was too late. By the time he revealed his own keyblade, she was practically convinced. Neena won, last one standing. Her shadow loomed over the fallen Jason. This was the moment of truth. She left him there, life intact. Neena came back to reality, staring down the newcomer. Her blood began to cool. It didn't have to end this way at all. The dark blade dissipated. ~~~~ Ryonne shook his head. "Divine help seems unlikely, especially since the Watcher and his friends seem to be about as close to gods as we're going to get around here." Ryonne said. "In any case, we should probably get going soon." Ryonne gestured towards the mountain and its beacon. "We still have a ways to go before we get there." The Swordsman concluded, and began to walk. Kinzoku came next skipping alongside Ryonne. Her metal ingots danced about her, changing shapes miscellaneously. Nikolai sighed. "There's a lot of walking that goes on in this game isn't there? Hey, anyone feel like carrying the heir to the throne?" He asked aloud, doubting anyone would pick him up on the offer. ~~~~ The Doctor glanced towards the heroes and their speeches. "Ridiculous and romantic notions. Is it not enough to get out of a death game with you alone alive? Let alone save everybody, and even more so killing the godlike host." The Doctor said sourly, shooting down the others. He glanced to his book. The names of all his creatures came to him. People's names. Were they close to him? Maybe. Did they make a difference to him? Most likely. Why else would he name his precious monsters after them. Towards the end of his book, there was an incomplete entry titled: Kamyn and Evraius. There were no pictures, very few words, and the words that were there made no sense. He did know something though. Both of those two things were incredibly dangerous, perhaps even godly. The Doctor looked back to Derik. "But, killing gods does seem like quite the glorious achievement. Perhaps if there does arise such an opportunity I will help." He said, budging just a little on his allies' nonsensical ideals. Mes ran up and slapped him on the back. "Now that's the spirit! Come on grandpa, let's go kill some gods!" She exclaimed, before beginning to run away. "I said perhaps. That indicates possibility, not certainty!" He called after her, following her into the jungle. It was time to get going anyway.
