Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 16, 2015 Reiner~ "Well finally a time to rest I guess" He said while taking seat next to the firepit. Taking a look at the rest of his team, he could notice something; he had one dark growing impulsive, a quite intriguing girl, another girl with a cocky actitude, and a "Don´t invade my personal space" person. Why it all seemed sooooo familiar? he pondered to himself. "Welp, time to break the Ice, So, miss... Ryonne wasn´t it? what´s the plan now?" Auron~ As he saw antonished as Derik fought a cat like person... or better said a lion... he didnt knew, that was an awkward day anyway. However he realized something as he took a look again to the woman. "Emmm Mes?" Kyle started to speak to Mes, "Doesn´t he looks sooooo like she said? I mean he´s a cat like, right? Should we stop Derik or ... " Of course it could have work better if he could listen anything. (Please just go get the lion so we can move on Daniel. -_- ) Mes narrowed her eyes at Auron. She sighed, and muttered something under her breath. Then she nodded and pointed to the Lion. Her expression was a much more emphatic "Go get the stupid lion for help" now. She turned back to the Lioness, whom still seemed to be in pain. Mes's hand was clutched. Really really hard. She could feel the claws of the Lioness digging into her flesh, and as Mes bit her tongue to deal with the pain, she was wondering why the heck she was helping the Lioness anyway. Really she should kill her. But no, she couldn't. That'd be cruel. And she was a good guy, as much as she pretended she wasn't.

Perceiving Mes orders he moved near Derik and the lion, he then launched a few cards between them making an explosion and separating both of them. As the lion was dizzy because of it, Auron quickly moved and grabbed him from his head, actually it was all too rash, of course what else he could do. "Hey you! we need your help! that lioness, she is in trouble! we are not your enemy" he said as he finally got tired falling into the floor. Of course he didn´t planned what would happen next... or he will be killed by the lion.... or by Derik due to interrupt his combat, in both cases .. he was screwed. Daniel Black 1,981 Posted February 16, 2015 (I DERP OK) (still wrong by one Kyle ) He thought he was screwed, but more realistically, he was used. As a bat. As the explosion cleared away slightly, Derik literally ran and grabbed Auron by the leg, wound the strike up like a baseball bat, and slammed the beast with Kyle. A large crack, which could very well have been Auron's femur bone or the lion man's jaw breaking sounded off, putting all his weight on the strike. "Yeoooooouch!!" Auron shouted as he was launched and hitting on the lion. Surely Derik has got some nerve to use it as a bat. "Nrrgg... that hurt worse that a Noise hit. Derik! Calm down!! we need him! stop doing your overheaded stuff, we need to help that woman! Ngrr..." he said still trying to get air to breath... maybe it was the hit... or the poison... who knew? Captain Arrowguns 466 Posted February 16, 2015 As Robert gazed around the cottage, he couldn't find anything that could be a danger to them, not that it mattered. If the Watcher wanted to get them, he could, end of story. He just hoped that he and the rest of the group had a chance. "Maybe we should have night watches." Robert suggested to the other three, eager to have some sort of warning just in case the Watcher decided to give them a little midnight surprise, "I can go first." Once Blank had finished patching up his gun, he opened a control panel found on his body, and pulled out a small chip, putting it into his pocket. At the start of the games, before joining the villain cabin, Blank had encountered a lone wanderer in black and grey armor, carrying various gadgets. Blank tried to challenge him, and he put up quite a fight, but Blank went too far and accidentally killed him. Since then, Blank inserted into himself an inhibitor chip, preventing him from fighting at maximum capacity. But now that all of the challengers were working as a team now, he decided it was time to fight again at full strength. Besides, he may need to challenge his cabin mates some day... "It's a pleasure to meat you." Blank said, nodding at his two new associates. He then walked over to and opened a crate, containing the gear Blank had taken from the challenger he'd over-challenged. He took from the box some smoke pellets, a few glue bombs, and a pair of electrical shock gloves. Once it was time to face the others, he would be ready. (Props to whoever can guess who Blank killed.)
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) (Well, I know, so that would be an unfair guess.) Nikolai glanced up to Dom and gave the woman his signature grin. "Why, only a Lantsov Spice Rubbed Ham and Potatoes!" He said excitedly, then looking back to the potatoes he was slicing. The ham was already roasting on a homemade spit over the fire. While he worked, Nikolai began to talk. "The only thing I remember is living in a castle. I think I was a prince or something. Anyway, I spent most of my time training or studying. Lots of work. In my free time there wasn't much to do because there weren't any kids my age in the castle. So I would spend a lot of time exploring and hanging out with the servants. Most of them were nice. I had a retainer named James that was ready for anything I asked him to do, and would play with me when I was little. An old maid named Dolores would entertain with her stories of how she grew up in the countryside and made her way to working in the castle. My favorite though, was an old guy named Le Chef. He was the head chef, and I would always tease him about his name. But he gave me plenty of good advice, and taught me how to cook. Hence, the Lantsov Spice Rubbed Ham and Potatoes!" Nikolai told his story while he worked, putting the sliced potatoes in a pot and placing it next to the fire after he tossed in another spice mixture. He glanced over the ham while he continued. "So really, all you should take away from that is that I'm a prince, and you all should immediately start calling me Your Highness." He teased. Ryonne glanced to the young royal. He still found the Prince obnoxious and arrogant, but he was ready to be more open minded now. Nikolai grabbed a few wooden bowls, and placed them on the table provided to them. He carved the ham while the potatoes finished cooking. He piled the ham high into the bowls, then grabbed the potatoes right as they finished cooking, and put several potato slices in each bowl as well. Nikolai stood to his full height, and smiled broadly at the others. "Dinner's served!" Nikolai said, full of pride in his work. Kinzoku quickly grabbed hold of a bowl, and dug in. "Thith ith realynoidsf good!" She said, swallowing her bite several syllables in. Nikolai laughed. Ryonne also took a hesitant few bites. Pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of the dish, he scoffed down the rest. Finally, he turned to Reiner. "I am indeed Ryonne. As for the plan, it is to rest for the night. We've had a long hard day." The Swordsman answered. ~~~~~ The Doctor looked around at the encroaching horde of cat soldiers. Was every single one of them after them? The Doctor glanced back to Rexon. "I am not sure if this would be the optimal time to jump ship. There are more than a few of them outside this wall, and I am unsure if we can take all of them by ourselves. They are not to be trifled with. Besides, if we drop the shield, the toxin would likely take hold again, and we would be even more helpless. At the moment, the only logical answer would be to wait for an opening so we can escape." The Doctor stated. ~~~~~ The Lion caught the weapon with his large paw and slid a few feet, but was still tempted to rip it from his opponent's grasp and break it in half, when he realized what the weapon was talking about. He dropped the human weapon, and still seeing bloodlust in his opponent's eyes, threw a small bag of a powdered form of the toxin that was approaching everyone in the jungle group, leaving Derik paralyzed for a short time. The Lion ran to the prone body of his wife. The Lion crouched next to the Lioness, and exchanged glances with Mes, who seemed only concerned with the well being of the Lioness. The Lioness roared in pain, and the Lion came closer to the cat woman, and began to exchange words in some language that Mes could not understand. It seemed to be encouragement. The Lioness roared in pain again. The Lion looked to Mes again, his eyes almost certainly looking for help with this. Mes nodded. She would do what she could. -Behind Closed Doors Because Explaining How It Happens Is Not In My Job Description- In a few moments, the Lion was cooing over an adorable little lion cub. The Lioness was panting, and Mes was too. "I. Am. Not. Doing. That. Again." She said. That was only the most stressful thing she had done the whole game. Mes looked to the Lion. "Yo? Cat dude? Could you possibly call off your soldiers so we can get out of this stupid jungle before the mist overcomes all of us?" Mes asked politely. The Lion looked at Mes, then nodded in understanding. He roared. In a few more moments, a large crowd of cat soldiers, along with Rexon and the Doctor who had followed after the killing intent of the cat soldiers had vanished. Mes, the Lion, the Lioness, and the Cub, all stood atop a stage of sorts. The Lion and Lioness had put on jeweled necklaces. The Lion held out his cub over the crowd. "All celebrate! The birth of the heir!" The Lion cried, actually speaking in English! The logical answer would be that the necklaces were translating automatically now for their human guests. From there, it all became a big party. Once the Lion had called off his soldiers, the poison mist had vanished, and everyone's full sense had been restored, a sign that they had passed their test. Food, beds, and celebrations were there for everybody, and it seemed a certainty that they would be safe there for the night. The Lion explained that normally, every year, outsiders like them would come through, and most often kill everybody in the village. And after they were all dead, and the outsiders had moved on, they would magically revive. It became routine, to the point where they became the aggressors before the outsiders did. This was the first year that they had been able to solve things civilly. As a form of thanks and recognition of strength, the Lion showed Derik to his personal forge, filled with all kinds of metals and tools. He also let the Doctor draw a picture of him for his book. All in all, everything was looking to end up fine. ~~~~~ Rija waked into the building a bit farther, headed for the kitchen. She was hungry, and knew how to cook. But, when she opened the door to the kitchen, she shrieked in surprise. Neena rushed quickly to the Soldier's side. Inside the kitchen, stood Ilyas and Berserker. Rija quickly explained to them where they were, and the situation that all of them were in. Rija cooked dinner while she did so, and when they were done with the explanation, dinner, a delightful dinner of ravioli in meat sauce, was served. ~~~~~ In every camp site, the cabin, the bonfire, and the village, the Watcher's voice echoed. Congratulations to all of the contestants! You have all made it through another day's worth of trials! To be honest, I was sure some of you still standing would be dead. The Forest Travellers braved the City of the Dead powerless, and escaped once they defeated the ghostly Guardian! The Meadow Wanderers wove their way through Sylar's Funhouse, managing to escape his deadly grasp and force him to retreat! The Desert Nomads fought through the loss of their senses in order to escape the deadly toxin and managed to pacify the Catmen when they helped give birth to the Lion's child! Props for that by the way. Most contestants just kill all of them. First off, a memory for all the contestants! You all did wonderfully! And, an extra memory today for the overlooked MVPs of these trials Rija, for finding, repairing, and clearing out the lift that allowed your group to escape! Now that that's all over Good night I hope you all have a good night's sleep. ~~~~ Nighttime Begin ~~~~ Neena awoke suddenly, finding herself trapped in an arena. Just like we used to, right old bud!" Marcus said, winking at Evan to make sure he understood the ruse. "I do wonder what's up with that Watcher fellow though. Do you know anything about the guy?" Marcus continued, casually slipping in the question he was looking for. "No one does really. He's been hosting the Amnesia Games for as long as anybody can remember, which is a long time considering people stay here forever. With that, he fell into a portal of his specialty form of mixture light/darkness magic, Void, allowing the shots to follow him in, he saw the odd colors of the Realm Between wash over him as another Void portal materialized, he flew threw it, closing the Void portal behind him, the shots would float endlessly in the Nothingness of the Realm Between. Let's see about the potatoes." Taking a slice and biting it, Bronshu snaps his fingers and says: "OH! Exquisite!" Diasor: "I'm sure you'd say that to any meal given to you." "NO I wouldn't!!" Bronshu says out loud, loud enough for everyone to hear. ~Elsewhere~ "I suppose so but..." was all Ranco could say before getting dragged by Cordelia to the desk. Listening in on her at the desk, Ranco thought: Ah. I see. He put his left hand over his mouth and cleared his throat. In a deep and sophisticated tone, Ranco says: "Oh yes, the Amnesia Games. Quite the spectacle of stupendous entertainment. As my darling wife mentioned, we were wondering if there was any way we can communicate with the contestants in the games. You see, we just can't get enough of it. The participants provided us with so much joy, so much excitement, why we must talk to them. We want to tell them how excellent they're all performing, how dedicated fans we are, and wish them the best of luck!" Smiling at all of the Cat people, Rexon says: "Glad things worked out well with everyone." Before he could celebrate, he finds himself very sleepy and dozes off on a bed. When he woke up, he quickly realized he was somewhere new. "What? Where am I? What's going on now?" Rex hears the Watcher's instructions and yells: "Are you serious? I don't want to fight people that are new to me for no good reason. Even if it means getting back a memory, I can't do it."
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 17, 2015 Fortunately, her connection to light and darkness helped her detect the portal before it fully appeared. "Kid, you have no idea what you just got yourself into." She growled. In a short moment, she rushed forward towards Brooklyn, stabbing to his gut with her blade, but also manifesting a large sword of light slicing down at him from behind. The Watcher's voice spoke once again, but Neena was far too distracted with killing the keyblader to hear it. "Rexon. You will fight, unless of course, you'd like me to let Sylar kill one of your friends. Mes perhaps? Auron?"

Auron?"(I should be working on my project .-. Oh well, I forgot the paper with the info on it anyway, and I still have time.)(On another note, after I read this I began to laugh like a maniac in class earlier. My teacher almost called the school nurse. I think I need help)Another advance, another counter. The fake-out Keyblade had returned already, Brooklyn used it's teeth to push the stab away, and with his momentum, switched his body around and came up with a block to the light blade. "I can sense you know what these are. And by that logic, you know how to deal with the weapon, whatever it is, but you can't deal with me." Brooklyn melted into another portal as the block connected, letting it push him through, it shot him out at the other end of the field. The portal closed at his feet exited, and he twisted his body into a position where it faced the floor, Brooklyn having now desummoned his weapons, picked up the first two weapons on the ground: axes, just so happened, and threw them right for Neena. Next, right after the throw, he dashed, grabbing every weapon in the room he coukd, throwing them all at Neena in extremely quick Succession, save for four long pole staffs. The weapons contenued to be thrown, even sent through portals at Neena, in an onslaught of shots. When no throwable weapons were left within his immediate vicinity, save the lances, he Portales again, in the middle of the multiple weapons fired, planting one in every area surrounding her and flashing away the second he could. The weapons nicked and scratched him, one of the axes even giving him a mild cut on his left arm, but he didn't care. He drove each spoke into the ground, and in the torrent of metals that were flying at Neena in nearly every direction, Brooklyn used the last of his ability to portal for some time to get above the ball of weapons he had created, and prepared his next move.At this point, now, Rexon's shot hat also come into play, nearing the field of weapons. Daniel Black 1,981 Posted February 18, 2015 (Well, I know, so that would be an unfair guess.)Nikolai glanced up to Dom and gave the woman his signature grin. Kinzoku quickly grabbed hold of a bowl, and dug in."Thith ith realynoidsf good!" She said, swallowing her bite several syllables in. Nikolai laughed. Ryonne also took a hesitant few bites. Pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of the dish, he scoffed down the rest. Finally, he turned to Reiner."I am indeed Ryonne. As for the plan, it is to rest for the night. We've had a long hard day." The Swordsman answered.~~~~~The Doctor looked around at the encroaching horde of cat soldiers. At the moment, the only logical answer would be to wait for an opening so we can escape." The Doctor stated.~~~~~The Lion caught the weapon with his large paw and slid a few feet, but was still tempted to rip it from his opponent's grasp and break it in half, when he realized what the weapon was talking about. Mes nodded. She would do what she could.-Behind Closed Doors Because Explaining How It Happens Is Not In My Job Description-In a few moments, the Lion was cooing over an adorable little lion cub. The Lion held out his cub over the crowd."All celebrate! All in all, everything was looking to end up fine.~~~~~Rija waked into the building a bit farther, headed for the kitchen. Rija cooked dinner while she did so, and when they were done with the explanation, dinner, a delightful dinner of ravioli in meat sauce, was served.~~~~~In every camp site, the cabin, the bonfire, and the village, the Watcher's voice echoed.Congratulations to all of the contestants! The Desert Nomads fought through the loss of their senses in order to escape the deadly toxin and managed to pacify the Catmen when they helped give birth to the Lion's child!Props for that by the way. Most contestants just kill all of them.First off, a memory for all the contestants! You all did wonderfully! And, an extra memory today for the overlooked MVPs of these trialsRija, for finding, repairing, and clearing out the lift that allowed your group to escape!Dom, for distracting and keeping Blank busy so he didn't bother the rest of your team! And Auron, for rescuing Mes and bringing the Lion to his wife! Now that that's all overGood nightI hope you all have a good night's sleep.~~~~Nighttime Begin~~~~Neena awoke suddenly, finding herself trapped in an arena. It was filled with weaponry and traps. Across from her, were two others. Brooklyn and Rexon awoke as well. The Watcher gave a quick overview of their instructions. Defeat the others, gain a memory. Neena stood. Sounded simple enough.~Elsewhere~Cordelia smiled at Ranco. "Why else would they have a secretary if not for situations like this one?" She said. Cordelia then promptly dragged Ranco over to the secretary's desk. "Why, miss, my husband and I are new here, and well, we have become absolutely obsessed with the Amnesia Games, as you call them." Cordelia said, using a fake voice that made her sound a lot less grounded than she really was. "And well, we were wondering... Honey, tell the nice lady that we were wondering how to communicate with the contestants." Cordelia said, tagging Ranco in with an atrociously bright and faked smile.~~~~Severa looked to Terry, smiling slightly. "Fortunately for us, that's not our job. We'll have to leave it up to the others to find that out." Severa said directly. "Now, let's get these back to HQ." She continued, once again heading back to the rendezvous.~~~~The Bartender frowned, unhappy with both of the new patrons ordering something free. Still, he grudgingly came back with two glasses of ice cold water. Marcus took a casual sip of his drink."So, what brings you two here today? You seem new around here." The Bartender said in his thick Brooklyn accent. Marcus gestured to the monitor."We were looking for a comfortable place to grab a few drinks and watch the games! Just like we used to, right old bud!" Marcus said, winking at Evan to make sure he understood the ruse. "I do wonder what's up with that Watcher fellow though. Do you know anything about the guy?" Marcus continued, casually slipping in the question he was looking for."No one does really. He's been hosting the Amnesia Games for as long as anybody can remember, which is a long time considering people stay here forever. He hasn't interacted with us directly much since several years ago, when he ended the airdrops." The Bartender said, his attention to the monitor now as well. Auron - "So... a new memory, huh? I wonder..." Auron thought as he ate his meal, of course, all what happened today were just a test, yet still it was all too vivid, "just like the Reaper´s Game". Auron then pulled out his game, it was way too damaged to be used again, that amazing device that accompanied him since all of tis madness started, when cecking it, however it started to shine, transforming itself on Auron´s hand, becoming a pin, it had something drawing on it. "A pin? !!- Nrgg... my head! Memory time I guess... " It was Shibuya, is hometown again, the same people walking across the Scramble Crossing, it was such pressure for a newcomer to see so many people gathered in one place, atop of it, 104 building stood as a symbol of the town itself. Unfortunately, that time people were busy looking at one point at the time. Some unfortunate soul walked just a few seconds later, crossing on a car´s way. it has brown hair and a red lumberjack shirt, "But how? I´m here rigth now. This can´t be happening ... it can´t be..." Auron muttered as he looked in horror his lifeless body on the street. And then... the memory was over. Or so he thought, as te Voice said; he received anoter sneakpeek of his life and memories. "I see, tat would be quite the case, Akane and Isaac are done for, so that only left... the Composer... " Auron said as he turned to another familiar face, brown hair, blue t-shirt and jeans, he had a dog necklace. Next to him anoter girl, black hair, red eyes, some clothes like maiden or so... who knew and beside her a young boy, blond hair blue clothes. "Well.. So, what are we goona do now? Bronshu? Sayo, and Isaac?" "Ahh!! " Auron shouted as he quickly got up from the floor. He was still on the camp but everyting was more quiet, perhaps the party was over... "Mmm... friends... I wonder how are you? We won the battle? I´m....dead?" - - - - - - - Reiner - "Mmmm sound a good plan for me heehehehehehe... Oh wow this is delicious!" Reiner exclaimed as he litterally ate all of his food quite fast. When the Voice finally ended speaking, he turned once again back to Ryonne. "Surely that´s the creepiest voice ever. I wonder if he´s a Crystal or something like that. By te way you have some strange weapon there. It seems quite powerfull for being a simple key... Mmmm It seems Brooklyn went to sleep quite fast" he finished saying waiting for a propper answer. - - - - - - - - Elsewhere - "MMmmm so the Almighty just finished building this place, and then he vanished? Not the best ruler huh?" Evan finished as he turned to the tv. Then his face changed when he saw Rexon figting the other two, Keyblade wielders as well. "Rexon, hang in there" Evan muttered as he drank his water. - - - - - - -
Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 18, 2015 Neena looked to the side, seeing Rexon's thrown keyblade come nearby. She threw up a wall of light to deflect the blade. Another one? She was against two keybladers? It didn't matter. She'd win. Of that she had no doubt. Neena looked back to Brooklyn. His attack was of the most immediate threat. She summoned a huge sphere of dark energy, and threw it at the sphere of weaponry. They combined, the ball of weapons now inside the sphere of darkness, both now hurtling towards her. Neena stretched her hands out in front of her, and in a split second, vanished. She reappeared next to the ball of weapons. The Assassin hit the combined projectile with a gauntlet of light, sending it shooting back towards Brooklyn, the gauntlet still attached to the ball of weapons. Neena landed on the ground, and waited until the sphere closed in on her opponent, at which point, she clenched her fist. The gauntlet of light exploded, the light mixing and spreading into the darkness, which produced a volatile mixture. The entire thing exploded right next to Brooklyn, the weapons all shredded into naught but metal shards and mixed with light and darkness. "Divine Skill - Twilight Blast." Neena said, smiling slightly. She turned back around to where Rexon was charging towards them, and shot off a few light charged arrows at him. ~~~~~ Nikolai stared at the night sky, restless. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. With him, with his memory. But no matter how often he looked into it, nothing more was revealed. He had been younger, that much was obvious. It was him with three other boys. He was holding weaponry similar but not the same as the stuff he had right now. In any case, he and the three other similarly aged boys were fighting against a huge black and white reptilian monster. One shot at it's tail, icing it into place. The next sliced off it's legs, bringing it closer to the ground. The last boy, teleported above the beast, then slammed down onto it with his battleaxe. Almost defeated, the creature still roared and attempted to snap at the teleporting kid. But he remembered running up and flip kicking it's head back down. He had pulled his gun out, and shot a bullet charged with electricity which hit the beast and killed it. "Woooot!" Nikolai yelled. His other comrades also smiled and cheered, all clearly happy that they had killed the thing. Nikolai remembered feeling happy, being a part of something new for the first time. He felt a bit of that now. But mostly, it just felt tragic. He could not tell why it brought a tear to his eye. ~~~~~ The Doctor entered the forge without knocking. "You are quite loud, you realize this yes?" The Doctor said to Derik, who was busy banging away without a care in the world. "Perhaps you don't need sleep, but I am missing my much needed beauty rest due to your incessant banging." The Doctor continued, his tone irritated. At the moment, Derik seemed to him less intelligent than the cat people who were sleeping now without a care in the world. Of course, the Doctor wasn't completely telling the truth. Derik's loud work wasn't the only thing keeping him up this late. His memories were making him restless. The first had been a trivial matter. He remembered being a young child and learning. Just learning. All day, every day. Being starved or beaten as punishment for not learning enough. Simple stuff like that. He could sense the cold shell and broken person he had been made because of that childhood. But really, he could not say that was the reason he was losing sleep now. That would be childish, losing sleep over events that happened so long ago. Besides, now he was a well learned man because of it. It did not matter. What was stressing him out was the second memory. Seeing himself becoming a monstrumologist, and well known and respected in that field. He could see his mentor scolding him for pursuing what most would consider unreal or a ghost. He could see his girlfriend leaving him because of how devoted he was to his work. He could see a, for lack of a better word, friend joking and teasing, calling him a monster, a man without humanity. The Doctor did not know himself very well. He did not know what was true of him, and what was not. What he did know, was that he was devoted. Those people were nothing but stops, limits one might say, to the greatness he could become. If he worked a little bit harder. A little bit longer. A little bit. The Doctor glared impatiently at Derik.

Those people were nothing but stops, limits one might say, to the greatness he could become. If he worked a little bit harder. A little bit longer. A little bit. The Doctor glared impatiently at Derik. "Ha, pretty funny, that;s a "Divine skill"." The explosion hit, but Brooklyn, determined to win, used this technique to his advantage. He knew this would hurt him badly as well, but it was time, as he had planned, with slight modification. The explosion sent metal shards as well as Darkness and light. Perfect for him in this situation. He took a moment, letting the fragments hit him, it hurt, but this gave him slight restore to his Void. It would be enough to give him reprieve from the next attack, s unavoidable. he used the power of the dark winds he had began gaining access to in the Mansion earlier, dispersing the metal shards everywhere, and the Darkness and Light away from him. The already imbued shards hurt, but it was time. "Thunder! Thunder! And two more for measure!" He targeted the four poles he had slammed into the ground The mixture of metal shards in the area and the poles acting as lighting rod, hitting each-other with electricity, bouncing it around itself and the millions of metal shards all over the room. Electricity literally exploded all around the arena, Brooklyn took a large shock, but took what little Void he had in him from the impacted shards of Darkness and Light and formed a small shield, allowing him to resist the onslaught of electricity coming from every direction, intense, powerful electricity, all over the stage. The memory he revived earlier reviewed in his head again. Atop a crumbled, destroyed tower. His team. Some of their names came to him, Finally. "Fiora... Detok... Kyle..." The names echoed. "We can't win, we're all just too tired... And Kain..." He looked around at them. "Look... I will be honest... I don't know if we can win against Kain, the man who had Fiora under his control. He is far better than me... and if that's the power he was able to give Fiora, imagine what strength he has..."" He had said to them. It was nothing of them being weak, but him being far too strong, however, with each and every single one of his teammates sounding off their vote of courage and defiance to leaving, he only sighed. "Well, can't say I'm able to blame them... Alright, we head out. For Snow, for our home, for the people of this world..." He said in an inner dialogue. "We can't win, but we will sure as hell give him a hard time!" He yelled to himself, in his head. In the back of his mind, he knew it was foolish, but it just couldn't end with them leaving Kain to destroy this place, or leave Snow with whoever it was parading in his former best friend's body. he snapped back to reality, and contenued casting thunder till he could no more, keeping the voltage as high as possible, even with a megere, low-tier spell... (Since I don't feel like editing the other post, Derik's smithing will go here) The smell of a fire, charcoal, blazing gasses, molten metal. It was home to his senses. "This almost brings back some sort of memory..." He laughed at the sort of ironic statement. His hands and body didn't forget the feeling of being in a room with tools of every kind. First, steel. He needed steel. They had all sorts of metals, but Steel would be hard, even for a slightly more advanced society. His mind turned to the old technique of making Tamahagane, or Jewel Steel. It's far from an easy process, normally just the making of the clay smelting basin took weeks to make the best traditional Tamahagane with. Not to mention finding the clay or soft pine charcoal that was used in the process. However, it's entirely possible that the lions make it, but not much, as it's a very difficult metal to make. He sorted through the scraps. "There has to be some here somewhere, they have the proper kind of iron sand... Ah!" A slab of the metal, it was so large and dusty that it was probably forgotten about. Forging and using this metal was hard and took patience as well as time. A lion person came in, likely to be his assistant. "Send two more of your finest here. We will need the strongest you can find." the lion man moved away without a word. Derik decided that it wouldn't be enough, though. "I'm facing people with magic and abilities that a normal person can't even hope to keep up with. I need a better weapon if I'm to face them. Something stronger. Harder. more powerful than the normal metal Something blessed..." The lions returned, the strongest in their village ready to help him forge. His first assistant also returned, having heard his plight. "There is a metal that our legends speak of, it's supposed to grant whoever uses the item made of it a specialty effect of some kind, but none of our village can figure out how to use it. Even when melted down it is very stiff and dificult to mold into another shape, most have even forgotten it exists now." Derik's eyes glowed with excitement. He bared his teeth, his sharp K9's elongating. He was truly excited, something yet to be done by people in a black smith's shop? Sign him up. He looked at the lion. "Get me as much as you can carry on you." Three hours later. The forge was burning hot, hotter than anywhere the jungle had ever been. Inside the forge, a lava was being used to heat the metal, which felt heavy, even by Derik's standards. It was no more than three long ingots, all that was left of the blessed metal. Only lava was hot enough to melt this stuff down. Even still, the crucible pot that was used was two stacked on top of one another the pot on top had special holes that allowed for things like carbon or other items to be introduced via the bottom and gasses released out the same way, and the top was sealed with multiple layers of concrete, grout, and clay. In the lower section, the pot was reconfigured to have a hole on the side large enough to place wood and a spark into as well. It burned like the sun itself, only Derik, with his sunglasses only barely keeping his sight in tact, stoked and burned the fire as the lions spotted for him, wiped his brow, and held the pot up as best they could from the sides. Burning, scorching heat. The lions, and even Derik caught on fire from the intense heat of the lava and fire burning in the crucible. The lions nearly backed away, but after four hours of work, that would not stop them, not yet. On the fifth hour, Derik put in a log of Birch wood and Birch charcoal. On the sixth, European Oak and European Oak charcoal. On the seventh hour, he chose a single piece of Acacia Charcoal, and on the eight the metal was now melted and made even stronger. "Now, take the crucible by it's side handles and pour it into this cast!" The lions followed his order. He told them to remove themselves from the forge and break. It was time for Derik to do his next bit of magic. He took the casting and moved it to the cooling area. First, submerged in a special cooling oil. Farther improving the metal, and cooling it down to where it was safe to move to the water as well. He then plunged it into the ice cold water, which quickly turned boiling hot. Derik removed the cast, changed the water, and repeated this process of dunking the metal into the oil and then water for three hours more. On the fourth, he broke the cast, and with great effort, pulled the ingot he had made off the ground. It felt like the ice of hell had been made into a metal, and he were to make a weapon of it. He called his team back in. He warned them that for the next eight hours, they could not leave or break. They figured they had gone so far already, may as well continue the task to the end. Again, they heated the ingot. This time, three layers. The bottom layer and middle were the same as before, however, the top was now a super heated oil, ready to severely burn anything it touched. And it began again. Wood and charcoal, every kind of it. The forge was now half empty on both supplies, and knowing Derik, he would go through the rest and more, and he did. It came down to the last of the wood in the second forge before Derik was done heating it again. It was again harder and heavier, certainly harder and heavier. It took the whole team and Derik to move the ingot, which despite all the heat applied, was only a golden yellow in color when removed. He told the team he had to move to the other forge and prepare a blade to his exact specifications, a katana blade, two of them. Out of the Tamahagane they had left with an soft iron core in each. He then looked at the heated ingot. "This hammer will never cut it, but my will to make this will change this metal into a blade fit for five kings! No, five gods, even!" He raised the best hammer they had available to them, and struck the ingot. The hammer broke on one end. Derik swiveled the hammer around to the other side. Broken. Another hammer. Broken, broken, broken, he had went through over two hundred hammers by the time the first dent appeared. But he would not give up. The ingot stayed hot as he forged new hammers, better than the last he had. Hit, hit, hit, in this span of three hours of Derik hitting this metal with all he had, breaking many a hammer, the blade began to take shape, but this is when the Doctor entered. "Metal is loud. It's a property of metal when being struck, caused by the way the matter interacts with other objects when being struck, only very soft items that actually muffle sound waves will detur the sound, but if I were to use a soft hammer, this ingot would never be a blade. Unfortunately for you and your poor cushioned sleep, I won't be stopping until the first of these three blades are forged. These lions are not the only beasts that exist in this town." Derik picked up the next hammer, and struck it again. And broke it, again. And again. The ingot flattened to a wide, flat shape. But what was next would surprise any human who is sane. Derik, with all his willpower, strength, a folding block, and another hammer began to fold the metal. Yes, he decided to fold this blade. If it were to be fit of five gods, this blade would need to be indestructible. Unbreakable as his resolve was to find his wife. This holy metal would bend to his will. But it did just that: It folded. Easily. The next stroke of the hammer dented it without so much as a spot of trouble. Derik felt the weight of the material and it's sturdiness. It was the same. "I see. This metal knows who it's master is now." He raised the hammer again, removing the folding block, he hammered it down. It folded like iron would! Never had he thought something like this would be of his doing. He slammed the metal. Harder. Harder. Harder! Sparks flew from his hand, hitting it all as fast as a human possibly could. The odd, ethereal, almost emerald green of this metal glowed still. It was no longer hot, but the heating process could not be done again, there was no where near enough wood in this village alone to do this again. So, with the strength and speed he had in him, he stroked the blade with the hammer. Slamming it. Molding it. It formed to his will. It was folded and elongated over another one thousand times in that next two hours. And now, the time of making the blade itself was at hand. "I must take a break and rest as well as check on the well being of my team. If you can understand that much in your sleep-deprived state, that I care for my team and for my future, you can find a way to sleep through this racket. If you can't, feel free to examine the metal on that table. It is my pride and joy." Edited February 19, 2015 by Guest
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted February 19, 2015 Calling back his keyblade, Rexon holds it with both hands and thinks: Of course things wouldn't be that easy. It's never that easy. Seeing the way she moves and fights, this lady is tough. Wait. There's something I feel a bit off from her. I can't help but sense some hostility from her. Granted there were the cat men, monsters, and Sylar giving off that sensation too. But this is different, like she has a reason for it. I can't forget about the other guy here though. I didn't expect him to have a keyblade, let alone two. And what's this I'm feeling? A kind of mixture of light and darkness? How come this feels familiar and different at the same time? Rex couldn't think any further when seeing the arrows and lightning coming. He mumbles: "Uh-oh!", raises he keyblade quick, and shouts: "Overguard!" A light barrier surrounds Rex, protecting him from the attacks. Standing firm, he thinks: This is intense. I hope this doesn't last longer than 8 seconds. Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 19, 2015 Neena spotted the attacks purpose. Lightning shot towards her as she changed into Light form, the electricity stinging more than a bit. But there was more coming, and she needed to act fast. She slammed her fist into the ground, and a dome of light sprouted up around her. The lightning flew around her, occasionally hitting the shield. Fortunately, it was holding fast. But it wouldn't for long if she was caught in this position. She looked to Brooklyn. Stupid kid had used her bits of light and darkness against her. His odd mixed version must give him those abilities. The assassin still needed to change this situation into her favor. The lightning was magic based, but she was unable to use the magic drain for a while longer. In any case, she needed to get out of here. In a split second she had transferred into Dark form, the shield fell, but Neena was already gone into a dark corridor. The portal closed behind her. A few moments passed, Neena having gone into the realm of darkness and not yet come back. Suddenly, corridors of darkness appeared all around the arena. Out flew orbs of light, which, after the corridors of darkness, expanded, absorbing lightning and the shards. Inside the large spheres, the lightning still bounced from shard to shard, nothing destroyed, just taken in. As the spheres expanded, doing their work, less and less lightning flew about the arena, for when the electricity bounced into one sphere, it could not bounce out. Finally, the last bit of electricity fell into a sphere of light. Neena finally popped out of a dark corridor, one arm glowing with light. She grinned towards Brooklyn. "Countered." Neena said, proud of herself. Slowly, the spheres of light became smaller, until they became electric metal balls encased in light. She launched them towards Brooklyn. She doubted she had much to worry about from Rexon. He didn't seem like the type to survive such an attack, even if he was a keyblader. ~~~~~ The Doctor muttered to himself after Derik said his first few words. He left the forge room, but he knew he wasn't going to sleep. He wandered near the edge of the village, and began to hear some whispering. Odd. He would generally chalk it up to the wind, but there was no wind. He glanced around, then walked into the jungle. He would be fine, he had his book. The Doctor searched for the source of the sound, until he reached a tree. He looked at the tree perplexed. There were no other animals in the area... Finally, he threw open his book, and scanned it for any clues. Nope, nothing. He began to climb the mysteriously noisy tree, determined there was something going on with it, that he was going to figure out. He put his ears to the leaves, hoping they would give him some clue. But no, they weren't even making the noise! He stomped on the branch he was perched on. The branch cracked, and both the Doctor and the branch fell to the ground with a crash. Suddenly, out of the bushes, walked Mes, dressed in her purple nightgown. "What the hell are you doing? I'm trying to get some freaking sleep!" Mes whisper-yelled at him. The Doctor shook his head in anger. "You don't understand! I can't figure out how this tree is making noise! In no way can a tree make noise on it's own!" The Doctor said in anger. Mes shook her head in clear frustration, and walked over to the tree. She looked it over, then looked to the Doctor. "You're sure you're not a moron?" Mes asked him. The Doctor nodded an emphatic yes. Mes sighed. "This is Whisperwood. It's a tree known for it's wood making noises in darkness. How have you never seen anything like this before? It's common in any forest." The Doctor looked at her in disbelief. Mes looked at him the same way. She continued. "Did you not have a childhood? Every kid messes with their friends with this stuff some day." Mes told him. The Doctor looked down. "Don't ask." He muttered. Mes sighed again. "It's actually also used for headphones because in the light, it absorbs noise into it so it can make the sound during the night." She said, as she began to walk away, content that the mystery was solved. The Doctor's head perked up again. Headphones? The Doctor smiled broadly. He cracked off part of the branch, and took it back with him into the forge. Sure enough, once he brought the branch into the light, everything became a bit quieter, and the stupid branch stopped making it's noise. While Derik worked, the Doctor worked as well, having summoned a saw and his carving knife. Derik suddenly spoke up again, and the Doctor glanced up at him. "Worry not friend, for I have found a solution to my problem. But, I will take a look at your handiwork, for it interests me how you can kill this much time and make that much noise with it." The Doctor said, wandering over to look at Derik's craft so far. ~Elsewhere~ "No no, you misunderstand friend. The Watcher is still here. He just don't talk to nobody. No one's heard from him in years. But he keeps putting on the Games, so we're all happy. Oof! I don't know if Rexon will make it through that one. Tough luck, getting paired with those two. They're vicious." The Bartender said, watching the battle as he spoke. "Do you know the details surrounding the end of the airdrop? Or how he puts on the games?" Marcus asked nonchalantly, still pretending to have all his focus on the battles. "The airdrops stopped because too many people wanted them to happen. They went out of control. The year before they stopped, one contestant became so powerful from the airdrops that he nearly destroyed the entire arena. Yeah, everything, everywhere. Nearly. The Watcher himself had to intervene and put him down. Terrible. As for how he puts on the games, I have no clue. Nobody does. We assume he can see everything, so when he sees an interesting story end, he grabs the person the story belongs to, and throws them into the game." The Bartender said. ~~~~ The Secretary shook her head. "I'm sorry, but no. No contact has been allowed since the airdrops were discontinued." She said bluntly, though her tone was still happy to help. "Oh, what were the airdrops? I simply must know." Cordelia asked. The Secretary smiled. "The best way to know, is to buy previous seasons on holodisc! But, as an actual answer to your question, the airdrops were times when the viewers could purchase power ups for their contestants, which would get airdropped into the arena for them using a device the Watcher created to make small portals between the arena and our world, only big enough to drop goods into. If you wish to see the device, you can check it out in the Amnesia Games Museum." The Secretary said. "Oh! There's a museum! Why, honey, we simply must go! Come, let's do it now. We have the time." Cordelia said, sounding absolutely infatuated with the idea of a museum. She grasped Ranco's arm, wanting him to escort her out of the building.

Cordelia said, sounding absolutely infatuated with the idea of a museum. She grasped Ranco's arm, wanting him to escort her out of the building. Brooklyn waited for the instant. "Not yet." He thought, landing. He was hurt, cuts, abrasions he panted slightly, the magic drained him slightky, he was running low on specialty tallents, but he still had one half decent idea, before using his last skill. It wasn't going to be easy, but here it goes.Brooklyn watched as she dashed. At the floor to his right, a scythe, one of the last items left in the arena. He kicked it up into his hand, and began to spin it. Quickly, with gusto, he span it, building the momentum quickly, he again threw the weapon, but this time, it was a diffrent situation. Brooklyn threw it, and seemed to vanish into a puff of smoke. In reality, it was just the dark wind skill he had, the last of his main magic was going into this one. He left the small twister and grabbed one of the few other items on the floor, a small sword, after the vanishing trick. He still hadn't brought his Keyblades back, but that was all a part of the plan. Brooklyn's wind magic made him faster, fast enough to get behind Neena in the instant after grabbing the blade. He threw a slash at her back, knowing it wouldn't hit, but his hand had also produced one of his Keyblades and threw it behind him at the same time.Derik ignored the man that had entered and left a weird branch in his forge. Oh, well. I'll let the weird man be weird. He had only just walked in again when he had noticed it, however, it was time for his team to finish the job. The katana blades had been forged well, folded like Derik had instructed them, cored with a soft iron, like instructed. He tested the blade's hardness, perfect. Now was the real test. With a dividing line made in the metal, about 2/3rds the with of a blade, two sheets each, and there was still more left over Derik, with his mastery of this metal, cut it evenly with ease with a set of metal cutters Three sheets of metal, two of them only a bit wider than the Katana blades that were made. Derik, with his cutter and some measuring found the exact length of each blade, both exactly the same length. He cut one of the thirds off, then began to hammer and fold it, striking with his will, he slammed the hammer with all his might. the metal formed to his hammer's strike into a thin, long, piece. Derik took the katana, as well as some sharpening stones, and sharpened the edge of the Katana fiercely. Normally, he would take days, edging the katana, perfecting the Hamon, or hardening line, perfecting the edge, making sure it was the best Katana he had made yet. But this time, he just wanted a rough edge. Once it was set, the thin, long piece of the metal he had made was held by special C-Clamps, his assistants balancing the metal as it was sitting there. It was still incredibly heavy, even this small shred of it. The piece was hammered and drawn out on the thin side so that it could match the blade of the Katana. He lined up the blade by it's roughly ground edge on the metal, and all it took was a single strike. The metal strip was now attached to the edge of the katana. Derik took it, smoothing it, grinding it, polishing it, thinking the new edge piece down to meet with the blade as if it was naturally set inside of that point. Derik placed it in a oil bath quickly, the oil flared up, clearly, even if it couldn't be seen, this emerald green metal was burning hot. Derik repeated the process on the other blade, ever so carefully. After the blades had been cooled in the oil, they were washed in water, and brought back to Derik. He next took a piece of the metal, only a small chunk, and with no more than a few strokes of the hammer, made two guards out of it, as well as two Hibaki, sliding each one onto the blade by it's tang. Next, he took what little wood they could scrounge up left, and Derik carved it into a handle, oval-shaped and perfect for a Katana. He slid one handle on, then the other, then the end piece. He could never recall what that specific part was called. It was done quickly in a bit of cast bronze. Onto the other Katana, he had done the same. Next, and finally, the wrapping. He took a fine, black Stingray leather was chosen. He wrapped and tooled it carefully, only the gentlest of touches. This one, on the Hibaki, he engraved his signature onto, and looked at his assistants, who were just staring in awe. "I need you to make a sheath. Cloth lined, except the part where the blade is edged. There, place this." He handed the lion a piece of the metal. it was incredibly thin, and rough on the inside. It would keep the edge of the blade completely sharp for a long time. "And have another one follow you and make another sheath exactly like it. Use a coat of black paint or stain and gold lining on the pattern's." They walked off, without a word. Derik finished the other katana, this one, he etched his family crest into, rather than his signature. A sign of being part of the family. "When I see you again, My Dear, this one is for you." He looked at the blade, enamored by it's perfection. And yet he was still not finished. Next, he applied a coat of black soot and a special sand-clay mixture on the back of the blade, making a pattern very much like a wave, and placed it into a hardening oven. Half an hour later, he removed the blade and scraped away the clay, leaving only the Hamon, or hardening line. He quenched it once again, and then began to sharpen it. The metal followed his will, just like earlier. A single, decent quality edging stone sharpened it to perfection in the last part of the hour. he polished it, and waited for his team to return. Once they had, Derik once again did this to the other blade, both polished to a shine, the metal almost looked like a crystal itself. Derik took hold of the Katana's sheath and it's blade, and with each, slid them shut completely. "Take this one here with the marking of my forge to who I guess is your King. This one will stay on me." Derik said, only after that to collapse to the ground. He put all his stamina to placing each blade away himself. The lions, when looking at the blades, however, mistook which one was his signature and his family crest, taking the one marked with their family crest out the door as Derik took his needed rest. Ultimus Grid 546 Posted February 21, 2015 "Oh man, this isn't too good for me. Those metal spheres cased in light that lady made, while impressive, don't look so forgiving. Doesn't help that the Overguard won't last a few more seconds if they come for me. What do I do? Hm. Maybe..." Rexon twirls his keyblade and stabs it to the ground. The barrier surrounding him breaks apart. When the last piece fell, Rex was glowing with a bright red aura. His Radiant Grace had taken effect. Pulling his keyblade out, he says: "Got to do this quick!", and swings at the ground asap. Normally doing so would leaves only scratches on the surface. But thanks to Radiant Grace his strength, as well as his defense, have doubled. Striking at the ground, Rex was able to crush it enough to form some dust. Digging in, he lifts and throws it to both of his opponents eyes. Jumping up, Rex holds both of his arms up, gathering energy. With the hands glowing blow, he shouts: "Blazing Maelstrom!", launching 4 blue orbs, 2 for Brooklyn and Neena each. The orbs charge, sending a current of flames at the both of them. ~Elsewhere~ "Yes dear, of course. We'll be taking our leave. Thank you for the intriguing details madam." Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 23, 2015 Neena dodged the scythe by quickly sidestepping, the polearm turned projectile hurtling behind her. She began to smiled towards Brooklyn, but he was already gone. She was clueless for a split second, then felt him behind her. She pulled an arrow from her quiver, nicking away the sword with the tip of the arrow. It was, if you'll excuse the pun, in the nick of time. (I'll go shoot myself now, bye guys) Then, she turned around, nocked the arrow, and shot it, sending it charging at Brooklyn enhanced with dark magic to cause a wound that would continually cause pain until it was properly healed without magic. Neena smirked at the keyblader, when suddenly, Rexon came, shooting down some orbs. Transforming instantly into dark form, she flipped backwards into a dark corridor. She reappeared behind Rexon in the air, and aimed a kick at his back.
