The Amnesia Games (RP)

Recommended Posts

You awake for the first time. You try to recall what has brought you here, but nothing comes to mind. You see others around you, also waking up for the first time. Confused, you sit up as a voice echoes all around you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Boys and Girls,

Welcome to the Amnesia Games!

You have been allowed to remember three things

Your name

Your goal in life

And your skills in combat

And some of you don't even have one of those!

I have brought you here

From all over the omniverse

You each have an interesting story

But none of you know it

Because I have taken your memories

And the only way to get them back

Is to play my little game

So have fun

I'll be in touch

And the voice goes silent.

Mission 1: Interact with each other! Find out everybody else's name. One memory will go to each group at the end of the mission.

Renton 'Ren' Kisaragi, Neena Mors, Switch, and Noah Himitsu awake in a dense forest.

Walter Evergreen, Joshua Akira, Dom Locke, and Bronshu Wes awake near a bubbling spring in a flower meadow.

Morgan Etiam Vinctum, Mes Orem, Wolf, and Rexon Wrexx awake in a desert, sand blowing and sun shining.

Sylar awakes at a snow-covered mountaintop, all alone.

Walter woke up with a headache. He looked around. He didn't remember this place, however beautiful it was. In fact, he couldn't remember anything, much less where he originally was. "My name…" he mumbled. "Is Walter Evergreen…" somehow, his name didn't feel right. Like a false name. He looked around. He saw others.

Ren awoke in the forest. He couldn't pice together much other than his name. He decided to wait for the others to start talking.

Further away from the others, Joshua lied in a flowery meadow, the shadows of purple looming over him, like a hedge of wondrous flowers. He lied curled up, as if defending himself from everyone else, before awaking. Confused but tired, he stretched, still down atop countless daisies, lilies, and many colors of roses. The hedge of flowers looming over him were many bugloss-- purple and brilliant, but shrouding him in shadow. After a short while, Joshua sat up, rubbing his eyes and now seeing the spring alive with flair and wonder. The only other person he could see awake as of right now was a man named Walter. Shyly and not knowing him, Joshua backed up and sat against the bugloss, picking a single, lonesome flower that looked as if it was dying-- a celandine. For some strange reason, he was confused but not frustrated or furious-- even so, he was curious. What was everything that he had forgotten...?

Birds chirping, trees and bushes rustling with the wind, and an overall mysterious aura was strewn about over Noah along with the forest-like area he was in. (...) Even in his thoughts, Noah was silent. After a few moments, he practically jumped in place, sitting upright and looking around to see no one of any familiarity. Most seemed to be asleep as he just was, except one who seemed a bit uninterested in talking. A coincidental mutuality that would get the two nowhere. Noah stood and looked around, lost and confused.

The first to awaken here was that of either God's greatest and holiest of children-- or the most demonic and sinful of His defilers. Morgan stood calmly and collectively in the nothingness of the desert-- the sun beating in agonizing heat as if the sun were to die itself, putting up a fight before the end. As of yet, she didn't break a single sweat and stared down at the others asleep as if she were their superior-- which eventually, she may be. The sand blew past her, not fazing Morgan at all. Careless of her forgotten memories, she remembered what was important, and began walking ahead in the dense sand.

"Oh!" Walter said with joy "another person!" He walked up to the boy "Hello. My name is Walter. Who are you?"

Rexon slowly opened his eyes and sat up.  He looked around, surprised and confused for being in a desert.  Shaking his head, he thinks:  Uh, why am I here?  He further looked around and saw other people, one of which was already awake.  Standing up, Rex thought:  So I'm not the only one here.  Ugh.  I feel like I forgot some things, but I can't remember.

Bronshu moaned as he woke and stood up.  He gazed around his surroundings and thought:  What am I doing in a meadow?  I don't remember coming here.  Actually, I don't remember a lot of things other than my name.  "What?  You forgot stuff, including me?"  Bronshu jumped back from hearing the voice and shouted:  "Who said that?!"  He looked around, saw other people, and said:  "Who are you?  Are you one of these people here?"  "No I'm not.  I'm in your head, ya goof."  Bronshu:  "Does that mean I'm crazy?"  "No you're not.  I went into your consciousness as part of giving you my powers."  Bronshu:  "Powers?  I'll ask again, who are you?"  "It's your friend, Diasor Technor."

Walter heard the other one awake. "It seems we are almost all awake…" he looked at both of them. "The central question is: how did we get here...."

Joshua slumped his shoulders and moved back, shy and afraid. Even so, Walter's voice sounded sincere. He gulped and looked up to him, with silence of hesitation, "...Joshua...." He nearly whispered, with a faint smile. The smile faded in a few moments, quicker than it formed. Curiosity overshadowed his fear, to an extent. Walter seemed to have a bit of...ardor, for some reason. Did he not have his memory erased...? "...Um...Walter," He began, fear coming back to him, "...Where are we?"

"That's the question…" he scratched his head. He sat down. "May I ask you something, those awake? Do you have blank parts in your mind? Days, weeks, years you can't recall?"

Joshua stood up, still holding the celandine flower in his hand. Even standing up, he was still in an incredibly short stature in comparison to Walter who was right beside him. But that's how everyone probably was to him. Still looking up to Walter, he murmured quiet enough that Walter was probably the only one to hear anything he was saying. "I know my name...and that's all."

"Damn…" he muttered. "Oh! Sorry!" He said a swear word to a small child... He felt so guilty.... "The way you looked at me, you must think I have answers, correct?" He sighed. "Unfortunate… for you, of course! I am struck with the same problem...."

Bronshu was more confused than before.  He asks Diasor:  "My friend?  How come I don't remember you?"  Diasor:  "That's because the person or entity that brought you and other people here took most of your memories for some kind of purpose.  Sort of like memory being the entry fee for a player in the Reapers Game."  Bronshu:  "Entry fee?  Reapers Game?"  Diasor:  "I'll explain later.  For now, talk with the others.  Maybe they might know something."  Bronshu:  "Alright."  Bronshu walked forward and listened in on what the other awake people say.  He then says:  "Me too.  The only thing I remember is my name.  It's Bronshu Wes, by the way.  And you guys?"

"Oh!" He said. How forgetful of him. "My names Walter Evergreen!" He turned to the boy.

Joshua gave another faint smile, this time with a short chuckle, "It's okay, people say things like that all the time." Not having any answers coming from Walter, unfortunately, Joshua sat back down and set the celandine flower with the lilies, daisies, and roses as it was before. The other one who was awake came up to him momentarily as well, Bronshu, apparently. Joshua looked up at the other, returning to his shy demeanor, after slightly warming up to Walter already. "Um...my name's Joshua...."

"Hi Joshua."  Bronshu said, turning to the last sleeping(?) individual.  He thinks:  Just one more person left.  Seems like everyone here has the same thing.  Then that other guy there will probably be the same way.  Diasor:  "Most definitely."  Bronshu:  "Oh yeah.  Then there's you Diasor.  You mind telling me how you know me and what I forgot?"  Diasor:  "Sure I can, but there's tons of matters you can't seem to remember."

Neena opened her eyes. Still nothing. She had been trying to recall anything other than her name for the last little bit. She looked around for a moment, noticing two other awake boys near her. Neena sat up, before pushing herself to her feet. Both didn't seem very happy, nor were they very talkative. She brushed a hair out of her eyes, and said. "Aren't you two wonderful socialites?" Her tone was sarcastic, but not condescending. No need to make enemies when you didn't even remember anything. After all, Neena could really only recall her name, a vague feeling of peace, and a little hatred towards a... key? No, keyblade. That's right. And of course, how to use the weapons sheathed on her back.

~~~~~~~~~~
Mes yawned and stretched, standing. 'So someone screwed with my memories?' She thought to herself. 'They're going to regret that.' Her thoughts continued as she observed her surroundings. Two others were up, with one more still on the ground. A woman, early twenties Mes reckoned, and another boy, only a few years older than she. Mes summoned her keyblade, One Winged Angel. She only knew it's name because apparently the memory of it fell under the category of combat skills. She turned to the lady. She was dressed in very... revealing clothing. Mes herself didn't disapprove. Her own purple dress didn't extend past mid-thigh, but the woman was on a whole different level. But Mes decided not to comment. Instead, she started the conversation on her end. "So, my name is Mes, and you lovely people are..." Mes didn't continue, waiting for others to say their own names.
Rex turned to the girl who got up.  He says to her:  "Oh.  Hello there.  The names' Rexon Wroxx, Rex for short."  He then looked at Mes' keyblade and said:  "Wow.  I didn't expect you have a keyblade."  Rex held his arm out and summoned Shining Truth.  He then said:  "Thought it would just be me here."
Joshua didn't respond, as Bronshu had already turned and glanced to the other still asleep. Even so, Joshua gazed from behind him-- as if observing-- reading him. With a quick realization, or assumption, rather, he looked at Bronshu inquisitively for a few more moments and then continued examining all the various flowers among the ground, softly smiling, for a few seconds.
Noah looked up to the girl, between himself and the other awakened boy. His eyes were dark, but not sad-- as if emotionless but with an endless stream of emotional secrets hidden deep within him. His expression was unwavering, looking as though he had no thoughts going through him. Now, in fact, it was quite the opposite with him.Despite her suggesting clothing, Morgan looked over to Mes with unusual absolute chastity. "Morgan." She said confidently, "My name is Morgan Etiam Vinctum-- or so is currently known to me. The Latin words following my first name however, are made of little sense in which I am curious as to the reason for my name preceding them." She stated, glancing over to Rex as well. The two shared a similar aura, especially within their unusual weaopons. From this, many observations went on in Morgan's head. "Rexon, correct?" She began, gazing at the boy. "Do not be consumed by any sinful hubris of specialty or unique significance. It will be your downfall."
Walter looked at Joshua. "You seem so entranced by these flowers…" he chucked . "I can see you are a person that always searches for the bright side of things… you must have been a good kid. Well, I'm guessing you still are... "
Ren looked at everyone. "Ren. That's my name..."
Joshua smiled softly again. "...Mm-hmm, the flowers are actually...really pretty here. They mean something too...I think all of these can kind of describe me." He said quietly, the multi-colored roses, the lilies, daisies, hedge of bugloss, and a single dying celandine flower. He hesitated his previous sentence, his eyes drifting about, lost. He continued after a bit of silence. "...Well...thanks, Walter. I hope I was, and I'm glad you think I am." He looked to the flowing water spring in the center of the meadow. "So...what...do we do here? None of us seem to know...."
Looking up to Mes after Ren spoke, the boy now did as well, a bit abruptly. "Noah."
Sighing, Joshua soon stood up again. Having practically played with plant and dirt for a little bit, he walked over to the water of the spring, taking off his pure white gloves and dousing them in the clear waters. His exposed right hand revealed a sigil of some sort, a mark. He stopped and stared at it for a bit. He left his gloves atop the spring's edge to dry in the sun for a short bit, and went back beside Walter. The mark reminded him of a key-- but everything regarding it, was hazy.
Kelly awoke at the meadow. She looked around the area. "Where am I? What am I doing here?" Kelly asked herself. She couldn't really remember anything about what's going on or even who she truly was. She only had the memories of her name and her powers. She got up and started walking around hoping to find someone to help her find out where she was.
Harry appeared in the desert with sand in his mouth. He gasped for air as he spit the sand out of his mouth. "That was awful! And where am I? And who am I?" Harry asked himself not remembering anything, not even who he was.
Rexon turned to Morgan and replied:  "Of course I won't.  That's not how I roll, at least I feel like I don't."  He looks behind him and sees another guy (Harry) awake.  Scratching his head, Rex says:  "Seems like someone else is up."
For a few minutes, Bronshu listened to everything Diasor told him he forgot.  When he finished explaining, Bronshu asks:  "  So let me get this straight.  Including me, a group of people, or 'players', came to an alternate world to help out a friend.  That's the place where I met and fought you.  I found out you were the one who shot me and my sister, resulting in me being in a Reapers Game before going to your world.  Feeling sorry, you gave me your powers to help defeat the Composer and get my sister back.  When you gave your powers, your consciousness or will went into my head and your body faded away.  After more events occurred, everyone went back to our real world, spending two years doing whatever each of us did.  Did I get that right?"
Diasor:  "Yeah, more or less.  So do you remember any of it?"  Bronshu:  "Nope.  I don't remember any of that except my name and sister.  My sister...  Momo!  How could I forget her?!"  Diasor:  "Not a clue.  I thought your sister would be one of the memories you'd keep.  It's probably due to the entity that brought you and the other people to wherever you are now."
Walter looked around, shocked by Bronshus outburst. "You are remembering? Great! " He felt happy for him. "It seems we are getting progress!" he hugged him. "Its strange though... One in my position would be sad about such matters...No memories of a life..." he shrugged "But, I don't feel bad at all! My heart feels refreshed! As if a weight has been Lifted!"
