Renton looked at the area. It was just like he heard. State of the art equipment. Large, beautiful rooms, and food hall , with state of the art cuisine. He shrugged. "Why not?" He mumbled. "We are dead men walking. 'Let's live them it up a bit.' They must say to themselves." He went to the training room to test the weaponry, to truly test how exemplary it was.

Nina stared around her. She was really curious and totally scared at the same time. But she would make the best of this experience and she would make everyone in District 1 proud. Or that is what she wanted. Nina was observing the others for a moment. They were all doing their stuff and they all looked strong. But she had a change. She trained hard in her District. The only thing she really didn't want was killing people. But she didn't have a choice. It's killing or being killed. And Nina was too young to die.

Then she started to look around the room. There were a lot of weapons and practice areas in this room and she didn't know where to start first. So Nina just decided to the climbing wall. An easy start, right?

Because she was pretty strong she had no problem to climb up. Higher and higher. When she reached the top she jumped off. And Nina did it again to do it faster and faster.

Renton saw the girl climb up and down. He smiled. At least someone was enthusiastic… "dodge!" He yelled, taking a practice bow and arrows, and began shooting them at the girl.

Nina swang with the robes to make sure she didn't get hit. And she succeeded. She went down and walked to the boy who shot the arrows. Nina made a high kick and wanted to hit his head with her foot. But before her foot and the head met eachother she stopped. Her leg was right beside his head. "You're lucky that I coukd stop myself". Nina said and lowered her foot again. "Don't try that again". Nina walked away from him and started to practice with throwing-knives.

"Think of it as real life training." Renton said. "Not a game..." He had to prepare himself for the upcoming games. He made a promise to his other tribute, and he was going to keep it, no matter what…

Claude's face looked tired and strained. He has been trying to hold back tears from when he heard his name called to be a participant in the Hunger Games. Honestly, he was terrified. The scenery of the capital couldn't even make his situation any better. He didn't want to train, he just wanted to go back to his normal lifestyle of chopping lumber and keeping the family running. But it's not like he has much of a choice now; if he didn't then he would die. Claude has been standing there for the past few minutes now ever since they dropped him and the rest of the tributes off at the training center. He snapped out of his train of thoughts when someone accidentally bumped into him while training. He didn't remember the person's name but the girl looked like someone from one the higher districts. She has a sharp weapon that resembled a trident in her hands and Claude quickly backed up. The girl looked at him weird before she went back to training, stabbing one of the practice dummies hard with her trident. I should probably get to practicing now.... he thought and looked over to the stand that kept the weapons. There were many different kinds of things he could work with, some weapons he didn't know even existed. Claude walked slowly to look at each one closely before stopping at one that appeared too be an axe. Claude stared at it for a moment before taking a good grasp and pulling it off the table. It was heavier than what he was used to working with but Claude tried to get used to the feel of it before he would start trying to swing it around.

Lily hated herself as she rode the elevator down to the Training Center. She was sure the other tributes were warring with fear and determination, but Lily was consumed entirely by fear. Sweat dripped down the side of her face and she couldn't stop her legs from shaking. She should have been formulating a plan to survive, but she couldn't focus on anything but her raw terror. How could she die? Jump out of her bedroom window? Poison her food with something?

The elevator doors opened and Lily didn't have anymore time to consider possible suicide methods. The Training Center might as well be where the Games began. It was where alliances were formed and new skills hastily mastered. The time she spent here would be as crucial as any moment in the actual arena. Lily took a shaky step out of the elevator and pressed herself against the wall outside. She wanted to stay away from the other tributes until she'd recovered.

She scanned the tributes nervously, trying to decide which ones she might be able to make an alliance with. Would anyone even want her? Surely she must look as scared as she felt.

Claude swung his axe down on a practice dummy, getting a cut into the dummy but also getting his axe stuck in the process. He drew a breath before grasping onto it again and getting one of his feet on the dummy before pulling back with all the energy he had to get it out. It slipped back, causing Claude to stumble backwards and fall flat on his back, the axe gliding on the floor next to him. He dragged his hands over his face as he laid there on the floor. I'm hopeless... he thought before moving is hands off his eyes and looked over to see that the elevator opened and girl stepped out. From what she was wearing, she appeared to be a tribute just like him, and just as terrified as he was. Claude pushed himself off of the floor and just stared at the girl. What should I do? The thought of making friends never crossed his mind when he came to this place since they would all end up killing each other anyways but he was feeling a pit of loneliness in his stomach, so, cautiously, he started walking towards the girl.

(GUMI I JUST REALIZED IT'S YOU OMGGGG)

Lily noticed one of the tributes walking towards her and immediately lowered her eyes. Oh god, what would she do if they tried to talk to her? She would probably start crying or something, and that certainly wouldn't win her any allies. Although maybe her fear was a good thing. Some of the tributes looked strong, and if Lily were competent, she'd want to kill them first. The weaklings could be picked off later. If she used her fear to her advantage...well, maybe the other tributes wouldn't be after her, and maybe she could survive. It was a risky plan at best, but it was all she had.

Lily didn't try to stop her limbs from quivering as the other tribute approached. Other people needed allies, but if she made an ally, they'd probably kill her off near the end of the Games. It wasn't like she was much of a fighter. She turned her head slightly and shakily mumbled, "Hi."

(greetings Lexi uwu)

Claude noticed that the girl was shivering from top to bottom. When he was close enough, the redhead stopped in his tracks not knowing what to say to her. She isn't intimidated by me....right? He looked down a little in silence, listening to the sound of grunts and thuds of weapons from the other tributes trying to sharpen their skills for the hunger games while he couldn't even swing an axe properly. Some of his neighbors from back home would be dissing him by now. Claude heard the girl mutter something and he looked up. He stared at her, looking a bit dumbfounded before his mind started processing properly again and quickly tried to get out a response to her. "O-oh! Um...hello..." he stuttered. He was off to a good start, or at least he hope he was. "My name...is Claude..from District 7. What about you?"

Lily studied the scratches on the floor, too afraid to look the tribute in the eyes. She was too afraid to look at any of them. How many other tributes had stood in this same spot, quaking in their boots, and less than a week later died a terrible, bloody death? Was she just going to be another one of them? Another tragic thought passing through the mind of next year's tributes?

"Lily." It took her a moment to recall her own name. She was too caught up in thoughts of the future and her likely upcoming death. "District 11." Before an awkward silence could ensue, she continued on nervously, "I, um, I'm a little frazzled. What does District 7 produce a-again?"

District 11. Claude could only remember that District well because they had agriculture, so they didn't had to worry much about not having food. Well at least that's what he thought in his head. "District 7? We product lumber to ship off to the capitol." he said and scratched the back of his head slightly, having flashbacks of his everyday life there. "We have a lot of trees over there too." Claude was suddenly interrupted at the sound of something hitting against the wall roughly. He turned around to see that the girl tribute from his district and an axe that looked like it was thrown into the the board of one of the archery stations. Something inside him suddenly sank into his stomach in nervousness. He didn't know that girl well but he has seen her around town sometimes when he was transporting lumber. He never recalled her being so strong, or even violent for that matter. Maybe this much pressure changes a person drastically. There was some muttering among the tributes before Claude turned back to Lily, his face somewhat pale now. "Maybe..we should go train for the games. What about survival skills? There's not much people over there by that station."

I watched from the shadows. I watched how weak and shy my enemies are. I seen how puny they are. I have been training my whole life. My mom and my sister was killed right before my eyes. My dad was killed in a coal mine. I am the only one left. I walked out of the shadows with my flaming bright red hair swishing behind me like a following fire. I grabbed the the bow and arrow. I aimed right for the the dummies and shot them right in the heart. I walked off and his before anyone could see me. My enemies were looking around for who shot the dummies in the heart with arrows. I got out my wig and contacts and put them on. I came out of the shadows with a long black and itchy wig on and icy blue contacts on. My heart was dead set on winning the Hunger Games. I have to win it for my family who is now dead. I got a sword and begin to attack the dummies in a swift motion. As fast and hard I strike the dummies my contacts popped out and my wig fell off. Every body looked at me with a shocked look. The boys from district 2 and 7 looked at me in shocked. "What are you looking at?" I said in a thick Irish accent. Everybody looked at me with a shocked look even the judges. I glared at them with my gold eye and red eye. "What are you people looking at monsters?!" I yelled. "Have you ever seen a girl like me?! Huh?! Huh?!" I said angrily in a very heavy Irish accent.
