Tails 6,692 Posted January 4, 2014 So between the English and Japanese versions of the games which do you prefer to hear KH on? For the Disney characters I'd say English because the English language fits them better. But as for the KH characters it's kinda of a mix between English and Japanese voices because some characters sound better in English and some characters sound better in Japanese. DragonMaster 1,166 Posted January 4, 2014 I just prefer dubs in general, but I would say English is definitely my preference for KH. The English Disney voices are, technically, the "official" voices of those characters. In addition, the English voice cast is generally high-quality. 1 Jilly Shears reacted to this

Shulk 8,623 Posted January 4, 2014 English. I'm not a fan of the Japanese voices, and I've had 11 years to get used to English. I'm too accustomed to them to want to switch to another language.
Shard the Gentleman 2,891 Posted January 4, 2014 I prefer English for two reasons1. I love the English V.A.s2. I speak EnglishHowever, I like the Japanese V.A.s as well.

Wow I'm surprised everyone prefers the games in English because usually people that watch Japanese anime or play Japanese games always prefers to hear voices in Japanese just because that said anime/game is made from Japan. 1 Shulk reacted to this
tothecikpah 230 Posted January 4, 2014 English, of course but some words in Japanese cannot be translated in english directly, so there is some japanese words changed in meaning when they translate it in english
x0xKairix0x 82 Posted January 4, 2014 French! I'm not French but, I've seen cutscenes in French (idk I was bored ) and I LOVE their voices. But on the topic, English.
143436611Xxcc 1,105 Posted January 4, 2014 Most of the English cast members (aside from the Disney aspect cause theyre doing their own thing.) sound like their Japanese counterparts, if not better.. However I do prefer Terra and Aqua in Japanese.
Robin 206 Posted January 4, 2014 ENGLISH!!!! but now i really want to know what the japanese disney characters sound like could you imagine japanese donald? or mickey? I'm chuckling just thinking about it
Firaga 5,947 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) English for me too. I've heard from the Japanese cast as well, though, and to be honest, I'm impressed with their work. I'm also impressed how some VAs are able to impersonate the original English accents and voices of certain Disney characters. Still prefer English though. Jim 2,990 Posted January 4, 2014 English for me. The voice acting has always been solid IMO. But on another note, does anyone else notice that the English dub always sounds crappy in the trailers, but a lot better in the actual game?

Iscreamer1 100 Posted January 4, 2014 Both, it helps to learn a second language and with my (somewhat limited) knowledge of Japanese or any other Asian dialect, I could use it along with some English fan-subtitles, to help me find any subtle differences and comparisons between the official and original translations of the Japanese dialogue of the games. Kaweebo 3,617 Posted January 4, 2014 I normally play the voice-acted Final Fantasies in Japanese (at least, the ones that have that option) but I can't play Kingdom Hearts in anything but English. I can't bear to hear Goofy in another language.
