My sad excuse for a PC.

Ok so... I mentioned two different parts of my computer to a friend, and when he typed in the chat box, the way I read it in my head, it made me laugh, which gave me the idea to make this topic. So basically, I have a very bad computer in terms of specs. Here are the two that made him react in a funny way.

 

 Intel Pentium IV 2.8 GHz and 502 MB of RAM.

 

And yes, it's bad.

 

A bit of a history lesson, my dad bought a different one in 03 that I used to use for a really long time. Then, I started using this one because... well... I'll explain. The school I "go" to is K12, and they sent me a computer. And yes, it was better then this one or the one my dad got in 03. But then the modem stopped working, so I started using this one for my schoolwork, even after we got a new modem. So now I use this one for everything. And recently, the room with the school computer and the one from 03, the internet just stopped working. Dunno why, it just did. So, even if I wanted to, my only option is this computer. Actually it's worse in specs compared to the 03 one but the older one had some virus' I think which slowed it down. So in some ways, this computer is faster, in other ways it's slower. But the funny thing is the idea that I've never gotten a better computer in a whole decade. That statement is just amazing when you think about it.

That is 90's type tech mate. That's just shocking. You really need 4GB of RAM and an i3, i5 or i7 processor.

Damn man, u seriously have to upgrade. I can't believe you are still using pentium. You are a brave soldier for using that computer for nearly a decade.

dont feel bad man lol i have it almost as bad as you (well kinda). i have a core 2 duo with 2 GB of ram so i can barley do much on mine... i need an upgrade badly

I don't even know much about PC's and I know that's kind of feeble. ._.

Though I have to commend you for making it last for a whole damn decade. I've gone through like 4 PC's in the five years I've been using a computer frequently.
