"Crap..." Zane hissed, twisting around on the ground, and kicking up at his opponent, aiming between Aaron's legs.

The White Rabbit's ear twitched before pointing straight up. She paused. After a moment, she frowned, saying, "More people are getting hurt...."

Zane cussed, spitting up blood.

"Like I said... I'm not worried about that," he snarled.

He was used to fighting as a pair- relying on Zack's higher strength and exploiting the fact he was more agile. But, in this situation, he was struggling- not that he would admit it.

Sebby, who had taken refuge behind a tree, peeked out for a moment. "Adrienne! Just get back here!"

Zack sat up properly, staring at her.

"You can tell? Where-?!"

"B-But," Adrienne said. She couldn't let them keep on fighting. But she didn't want to get in the middle of it either

(WELL YA STILL AIN'T GETTIN MAH CHERREH. D:<)

Sebby motioned frantically for her to get away from the others, eyes wide. "But nothing! You might end up hurt...!"

Zane glowered up at him, gripping the open wound in his stomach as the pain finally set in, when his kick of adrenaline ran out. "I don't have one, dickhead," he spat. "I just stole some other kid's."

Zack half got up, staring worriedly in the direction she'd indicated. "D'you wanna go...? I'm more than capable of protecting you, I promise."

( BUT WHYYYYYYYYY D; T~T)

Adrienne reluctantly hid behind the tree with Sebby, wishing she could do something else besides hide.

The dark haired boy gave a weak smirk, his pupils shrinking back so his eyes looked normal, the blood he had visible turning red instead of black. "Zane. Zane Raines," he said quietly, then grinned fully, showing all his teeth- which, as his utterly mundane appearence changed back to how it had been before, with the blacked out eyes, looked more pointed than anything.

"And you, freaky?"

As they headed over, getting closer, Zack coughed heavily for a moment. As he pulled his hand away from his mouth, it was stained with blood.

"Zane...?" he hissed, stunned.

Sebby grabbed her arm. "There's... there's w-wolf in them. I couldn't tell before... but the scent is really strong. It... it's because of the blood." His hands were shaking, his eyes wide with fear.

The White Rabbit stopped to observe Zack's coughing. When she noticed his hesitation, the White Rabbit asked, "What's wrong?"

He looked up at her, trying to wipe the blood off his palm. It left a faint dark smudge, like a bruise, on the pale skin of his arm, which he didn't notice.

"It's nothing."

"D'you know what happened to him? Little baby Zane?" he laughed, the blood bubbling in his mouth before he swallowed it. "My idiot brother doesn't remember. Or he pretends he doesn't."

The White Rabbit noticed the smudge on Zack's arm. Frowning, she looked at the ground as she pointed at the smudge. "Ignorance is bliss, until it hurts unlike anything else." Then, she looked up towards the east. "For one day, I'd like no one to lie, to hurt." She then walked on without Zack.

He strode off after her, ignoring the need to cough; he was determined not to let it get the better of him again. "...I think it's my brother," he said, as an excuse for the blood.

"Hmm... I do feel some trembling," the White Rabbit stated. Through her feet, she could feel any activity happening on the earth from a 100-mile radius.

Zack just nodded, his gaze fixed ahead; he knew by then, he knew in his gut that this would have something to do with Zane.

The White Rabbit didn't like to see her new friend in pain. After a moment, she turned around, smiling. "Here," she said, giving Zack her sketch book and crayons, "you draw a picture, okay? I'll be right back!" She then went ahead without him.

Aaron just stared at Zane...

"Well, Zane. For now I grant you clemency... you will not die this day. Or the next... or ever, so long as you don't get on my bad side again."

Zane crawled onto his front, but didn't lift his head. "Mm-hmm. Would be a deal... but you made the first move. And that pissed ME off, you know?" Without any warning, he lunged forwards, tackling Aaron and pinning his arms down against the floor.

Zane, surprised, just nodded dumbly- and let her walk off. The closer they had gotten, the worst he'd felt- and he probably would have just passed out when they finally arrived... and all because his idiot brother wasn't giving himself time to recover.

Zane sat down on the grass, rubbing at his head, which was pounding by that point. He stared down at the sketchpad. "...Okay, I can't even draw a straight line here. This could be interesting, to say the least..."

The White Rabbit continued walking. Within a few moments, she arrived where the fight was taking place.

That's when she felt foolish. Oh, what she would give for a bush to hide in right now...

However, she still stood there, knees locked.

"Um.... 'scuse me..." she said, almost in a mutter. She knew that wouldn't even attract attention, so she raised her voice. "E-excuse me!" She paused. "Please... don't fight...."
