Dio Brando 5,810 Posted December 23, 2013 I need an advice on this....which is better to use in competitive battling?? Mega Lucario or Lucario with Choice Band??? I mean in terms of Damage that you can deal per turn I use my Choice Band Lucario for fast sweeping as I have Extreme Speed,Bullet Punch,Close Combat and Earthquake on him....which helps for clean up when my opponent has 30% HP left I can beat it with Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch which will deal tons of damage thanks to the choice band....sure I'll be locked to one move but I can switch out at any time.....but I still wanna know if Mega Lucario is a better option than a choice banded Lucario
Kodakliv 558 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) I love Mega Evolutions and cannot wait for them to give us some 6th gen mega evolutions Edited December 24, 2013 by Kodakliv
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) I'll be honest I don't use Mega Evolution. Seems like a new stupid gimmick to be honest with you. Here they could of just given us 100 new Pokemon but instead we get a stupid new gimmick that I find very useless and probably won't ever use. Don't get me wrong I think 6th gen is personally my favorite gen with the amount of Pokemon in the game but it lacks in adventure which is what makes the Pokemon games enjoyable. It's not a gimmick, and it's waaaaaay better than the Kyurem forms....it might not sound useful to you but if you battle competitively it's very useful Besides, you're contradicting yourself a little bit here, how is Gen 6 your favorite Gen but you've stated the reason why you prefer the previous ones over it?? Pokemon isn't just about the single player experience and if you battle online you'll see how incredibly useful Mega Evolutions are,you might not use them against a Gym Leader or the Elite Four, but you'll use them a lot in competitive battling the 70 Pokemon we got were enough for me considering the improvements they made to balance the meta game, the addition of Mega evolution and other things that the previous gen lacked Edited December 24, 2013 by Metal Snake 1 Kodakliv reacted to this
Kodakliv 558 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) New favorite Pokemon is Pichu what's yours? Edited December 24, 2013 by Kodakliv
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) 6th gen is my favorite cause of the region and just overall the towns and cities are very beautiful. I hate Mega evolutions and I hope they take them out, Pokemon should of just stayed the same and not change anything. Why fix something that isn't broken? That's all I am saying. Gens 1 - 5 where rather boring IMO this gen really feels how a Pokemon game should feel with interacting with the Pokemon and everything. If this gen got rid of mega evolution then I would give it a 10/10 but because it's in here I have to give it a 6.5/10 still my favorite gen though They won't get rid of Mega evolution anytime soon Also, you OBVIOUSLY just got back into Pokemon do you....if Gen 6 is a 610 for you....then the previous ones are 5 or less?? Also, have you been ever invested into competitive battling, because there are lots of things that Gen 6 fixed like nerfing the Dragons with the new Fairy type because most of the Dragons were broken Old forgotten Pokemon like Mawile and Kangaskhan got a chance to shine again with Mega evolutions...and the new fairy type made previously weak Pokemon like Clefable a powerhouse I DARE YOU to find anyone that cared about Mawile before his Mega Evolution.....exactly,no one because there were much better steel types, but when Mawile got a Mega Evolution and the added Fairy Type it became a BEAST I'm sorry, but this post is kinda hypocrite, you've been BEGGING for a change in the franchise in previous posts here in KH13 and when they finally added new things you want them to take it out??? I'm sorry but Mega evolution will be here for more gens to come It's a welcome addition that made online battles way more fun for me and countless others and they won't remove it anytime soon Edited December 24, 2013 by Metal Snake 1 Kodakliv reacted to this
Kodakliv 558 Posted December 24, 2013 I am sorry and your right I am a hypocrite and I don't deserve to play Pokemon so once again I am sorry. Guess I'm not really into the online battling because I don't have anyone to battle with. Hope u can understand

Guess I'm not really into the online battling because I don't have anyone to battle with. Hope u can understand I didn't say you don't deserve to play Pokemon, but you can't just say the changes suck with no reason to back such thing up other than the excuse of being a gimmick...since when gimmick became a bad word??? if said gimmick works fine then it's good I'm sorry if I went over the top Btw,you can go to a site called Pokemon Showdown where you can practice competitive battling without looking for someone else to battle with New favorite Pokemon is Pichu what's yours? Mine is Lucario Depends. Choice Band with another slot for a mega on the team or a non-move locked Lucario, with the exception of taking a mega slot? Also MegaMawile FTFW! My Mega in my team is Garchomp with a Sand Stream Tyranitar to back it up my main sweepers in my team are Excadrill with Sand Rush and Mega Garchomp....Lucario is for both fast sweeping and clean up for little HP Pokemon I just wanted to know if the damage that Mega Lucario deals is bigger than a Choice Banded Lucario or not

Ummm I don't get it...can you explain please? The only thing I got from the picture is that the Pokemon is Shiny and has Pokerus and we haven't seen it's stats yet And still the Pokebank can be updated with a better hack check just like the last update that stops the insta-check program that reveals the moveset It's not like the servers is doomed forever and cannot be patched.....we got two patches for X&Y so of course the PokeBank will get one Edited December 25, 2013 by Metal Snake

Also there's other pics such as the shiny HA Torterra from 5th gen, which is impossible to get that passed Pokebank and is in his/her X/Y version. If they can patch it, it wouldn't be the same method as that was simply an encryption GF added so programs couldn't get through it. (Till the makers find a way to bypass it that is.) It would be a different method but it's still possible to patch Also, isn't the ribbon stuck on your Pokemon even if you moved it from Gen 4 to Gen 5?? I remember that it transfer along with your Pokemon so unless I see an impossible moveset or crazingly high stats,I won't call the Pokebank an instant fail unless it stopped working....which it didn't as of now so I'm gonna wait until the English version is released to fully see how far hacks can go before a patch blocks them

Anyway this isn't the end of the world just because hacked ribbons,I wanna see the stats and moveset of said hack Pokemon So they haven't "Stupidly" fail because it's been a day if not hours since it's release in Japan and Korea so it's gonna be discovered and patched soon

Yeah, because PokeCheckers can totally make games from scratch and make an app compatable with current and future games cuz THEY KNOW!!! Mistakes happen upon release and it's gonna be fixed soon and it's not impossible to find a Shiny Murkrow in previous games.....Also,it's medal hacks it's not an earth shattering event that completely ruins everything I'll consider it a stupid fail if something stupid like Mr Mime with Draco Meteor and Psystrike passed through the bank with no checks Edited December 26, 2013 by Metal Snake

You missed my main point. (Those were examples) Yes it's pathetic because would you like to see unreleased HA Pokemon used upon you? I find it hilarious that they want to keep hacks out of every gen, yet they can't even get close to having only legal Pokemon pass. Did I mention GTS/wonder trades? I don't use them, but oh boy the fans are going to lose it when they obtain hacks.

Kodakliv 558 Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) Do you guys think we will see anymore evolutions to past gen Pokemon? It seems like after black and white like they really don't want to do past evolutions to older Pokemon I mean slyveon was an exception because they introduced a new type Edited December 26, 2013 by Kodakliv
