OmegaForte 1,674 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) I'd say it's a Flying-Type. I mean, it looks like Skyla in Eeveelution form. Wow I'd didn't notice till now. What makes it more convincing is the eye color. Forget why I said, flying type it is. Now I don't want it to be dual normal/flying because we've seen how much they suck. Edit: Also could be dragon... Just because the colors also remind me of Iris. Edited February 12, 2013 by OmegaForte

Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Is it is an eevee evolution shouldn't its name en in eon like all the other so shouldnt it be like ninfiaeon..? Well something better then that I don't think Flying (no wings). The only wingless flying types so far are Legendaries (Tornadus: Incarnate Forme and Arceus: Flying Forme) , well there's also Doduo/Dodrio but still.... I think either Normal or one of the rumored new types. Wait. Maybe the ribbons act like wings? And it seems like pure flying types don't need wings. Okay, maybe Flying is a possibility. There was also a rumor about a Dragon type Eeveeloution this Gen. It was said to have been confirmed false but now I'm not so sure. But I still think it's either a Normal or new type. Think about it, if Ninfia were a new type they'd have more of a reason to keep it's type a secret for now. Same with Xerneas and Yveltal. Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Now that Pokemon X/Y is coming, and its been confirmed that, as of Gen VI there will be a total of over 700 Pokemon in the National Dex I think that they should make the new pages available for download on the Nintendo e-shop, rather than a new version. Not just for VI but for all future generations. I don't know if that's possible because I have no idea how the coding of DLC works (like for example if the new content already has to be present in the game's code upon release) but I think it's a good idea. You guys? Edited February 12, 2013 by Sora_Kuno
Kello 310 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) The idea of DLC is that you can download something that is not in the game's code. So I think it is possible that they'll update it, not launch another version like PokeDex 3D X/Y/Z Pro-super-mega-awesome-foxy-hot. You don't need wings for flying. Ninfia could possibly based off of wind, due to it's ribbons. It can also be a Bug type, due to it's eyes and fangs, but highly unlikely. It can also be a Normal evolutionary stage, it looks like a generic Normal type. I hope there will be a Light type, and if it there is, this has "Light" written all over it. Xalaru 445 Posted February 12, 2013 Flying, Normal or a new type. Doubtful it's Light. I'd expect some kind of glow-in-the-dark or luminous evo for that. Flying, because of the resemblance to Skyla/Altaria, and the design just seems like it. It'd be more convincing if it had wings, though. Normal, because it looks like the offspring of an Audino... But I'm thinking this'll be an exclusively female Pokémon, but with a male counterpart. Goes with the XY chromosomes theme.

Last time I checked, wind was a main factor for Flying Pokémon. Also Normal, because it just looks like a generic Normal type Pokémon as whole. And your XY chromosome thing, I was exactly thinking about that too. The male can be a Fighting type, while the female will be Normal or Flying (Either way it contrasts Fighting types). It can also be Light due to them keeping the type a secret, plus Xerneas might be a Light Type as well. It probably wont happen, but it doesn't hurt to theorize about it. Blake 776 Posted February 12, 2013 When my friend showed me the new "eevee" when I got to school, I was like "That's not eevee, that's firetrucking victini." I stand by the statement :> Probably a new type (sound and/or light)
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) When my friend showed me the new "eevee" when I got to school, I was like "That's not eevee, that's firetrucking victini." I stand by the statement :> Probably a new type (sound and/or light) I literally thought about that later when I saw it's eyes and colour scheme. Another reason why it may be Light... Apparently Gamefreak doesn't seem to want to give typings out for the new Pokémon. Yveltal, Xerneas and Ninfia aren't getting types at all yet. I think the new type might be Light and will be given to 2/3 of these Pokémon. This makes... Yveltal: Dark/Dragon or Dark/Flying Dark because...of how it looks really. Dragon because his looks give the dragon-esque feeling. Flying to match with the axises or/and because it flys. Xerneas: Light/Grass or Light/Steel Steel because of blades, Grass because of where it came out of, the forest, and Light because of it's rainbow antlers. Ninfia: Light 1) Light stereotypically means Pure. If you look at Ninfia, it screams out pure. 2)I was thinking about it now and giving it a Normal type will make it confusing. Obviously they wont give it an item in order for Eevee to evolve into Ninfia, since they both will be Normal then. If Eevee evolves through level up, it will be confusing since Espeon and Umbreon evolve through level up w/ high friendship and depends during day or night. It's going to be a bit difficult unless they pull something off like they did with Glaceon and Leafeon. Flying is a possibility if it's based off of wind, but it's still questionable. Bug is a weird theory that i've came across, and people have said "her eyes and fangs" but I'll take that as an account (thought it's highly unlikely since it barely looks like a bug). 3) In the scan, it shows sparkles surrounding Ninfia (when she is surrounded by Pikachu, Eevee and her Eeveelutions). Usually sparkles sometimes define Light as well (or it's just a thing Gamefreak did). Edited February 12, 2013 by Shana09

Might this be a dragon type? Nope but it's a theory. It can also be dragon. Though it doesn't have features of a Dragon type, it's not like Altaria had one anyways. I don't think Gamefreak is going to only rely on Special Attacking Eeveelutions and go into Physical Attacking Eeveelutions. fixed ;> Edit: AHAH! Shana09 5,769 Posted February 12, 2013 makes more sense than light ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Light is a repetitive element used in fiction whilst Sound is barely used, it's pretty awkward to see it still. 1 Xalaru reacted to this
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Ninfina: The pastel colors and the sparkles seem to point to the theoretical Light type. The colors and ribbons seem to point to Normal (Pretty Ribbon enhances Normal-Type moves, many normal types are pink) The Ribbons also point towards Flying. (ribbons blow in the wind) No wings but Doduo/Dodrio, Shaymin(Sky Forme) Tornadus(Incarnate Forme) Arceus(Flying Forme) and Altaria(?) don't have wings either. However, all of Eevee's forms are pure types and pure Flying seems to be reserved for Legendairies The colors, butterfly-like bows and mini fangs point to Bug. (Butterflies tend to be brightly colored.) There was a rumor of a Dragon-Type Eeveeloution in this gen but it was soon confirmed to be false. I'm not so sure now though, and as stated before the only Special attack type not yet used for an Eevloution is Dragon. However Ninfia seems to be completely void of any and all draconic features (unless you count the fangs, but even those are minuscule for a dragon. True Dratini/Dragonite/Dragonair don't have fangs at all but they are still obviously dragons.) and you would expect a pure Dragon-Type to have at least some. I'm casting my hat in with Light. Also, no Eeveeloution or Pokemon type has premiered alone, in fact, since Gen II both have always come in pairs. So it my be that there is a 2nd new Eeveeloution of a 2nd new type. As for the rumors of a Sound-Type, as odd a type as it seems, like the theory says there are already many sound based moves in the games. If there is a Sound-Type it would make sense for the Legendaries, Xeneas and Yveltal to represent Light and Sound respectively. Also Sound and Light are both forms of energy, creating a thematic link between the two. As for starters, FENNEKIN IS MINE, YOU HEAR ME? Y'ALL BETTER STEP OFF! I wound't mind Sound, but it's still a bit weird typing. Does that mean they gotta change the Whismur/Loudred/Exploud evolutionary line types to [sound]? Its a bit complicated but they can do it. Also not official but some translations: "THAT'S WHAT IT SAYS ON THAT CREASE FOLD! 「今度は一体・・・何タイプ!?」 "Just what type is it this time!?" 「ポケモンB2・W2までで7たいぷに進化!!」 In Pokemon Black and White 2 it could only change into 7 types! (Types and names of each Eevelution here) イーブイ/ノーマル→新たなる進化 Eevee / Normal → New evolution 「なんだこのイーブイに似ているポケモンは・・・まさか!?」 "Why doesn't this Eevee look like any other Pokemon...could it be!?" 「見た目によらず実力派!?何タイプなのか?」 "What ability is it's appearance based off of? What type is it?" ニンフィア タイプ:??? とくせい:??? 高さ:1.0m 重さ:23.5kg Ninfia Type: ??? Ability: ??? Height: 1.0m Weight: 23.5kg" Welp new type more obvious now.
