Xalaru 445 Posted February 6, 2013 I live in England, and I agree, it looks more like the Blackpool Tower than the Eiffel Tower. Would be cool to have it set here.
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted February 6, 2013 They've already said that it's based on Europe. By the way,the Unova region in Black & White 2 is based on New York
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 6, 2013 They've already said that it's based on Europe. By the way,the Unova region in Black & White 2 is based on New York Um no? They never confirmed it's based off of anything, these are just assumptions. People assumed it was based off of France but now a new theory is England, which makes more sense. I think we knew that, since that was actually confirmed unlike XY's region.

Ajexmi 446 Posted February 6, 2013 I wish I lived in Great Britain ;; (though NYC is a nice place) In all, it's really not that great a place to live. May I ask why you'd prefer GB over NY?

Shana09 5,769 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) In all, it's really not that great a place to live. May I ask why you'd prefer GB over NY? From what I've heard (since I've never been there) the sky is always cloudy and it rains quite often, which I love. Also I really like the British accent and Britain looks really good. I usually like Europe as a whole. Plus I am part British. The nature there seems more beautiful than what NY has, all we have is Catskills and Niagara Falls. I don't prefer it over NYC, but it's seems like another place I would love to live in. My advice is visit sometime. Britain has a valuable tourist industry for a reason, but day to day life can be hard and the economic and living standards depressing, but I think there is a lot here an outsider could really enjoy and appreciate for a limited time frame

Christiaan Huber 11 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) Cool,i always thought about the older regions as a ficticious travel trough parts of japan(well except gen V) and now i can imagine traveling trough brittain while fighting pokémon, its a dream come true ^^, hope they have like a double-decker battle bus or something =P. anyways, nice catch on those details,i didnt even knew some of them Edited February 6, 2013 by Christiaan Huber 1 Ajexmi reacted to this
Ajexmi 446 Posted February 6, 2013 Will do~ Oh crap we went off-topic. Technically we're discussing the origins of the design for the new Pokemon Region in greater depth - but I think that it'd be best to return to Pokemon.

Kinode 3,056 Posted February 7, 2013 IT'S OBVIOUSLY BASED OFF EUROPE
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) IT'S OBVIOUSLY BASED OFF EUROPE You do notice that the regions are based more specifically than that? Gen I => Kanto Region (Eastern Japan) Gen II => Johto Region (Eastern Japan) Gen III => Hoenn Region (southern Japan) Gen IV => Sinnoh Region (Northern Japan ----------------------------------------------------- Gen V => Unova Region (New York) If we go by yours it would have been: Gen I - Gen IV => Japan Gen V => USA That's not how it works. Obviously it's Europe but Europe is a huge continent. They are going to pick a country. Edited February 7, 2013 by Shana09
Sora96 17,256 Posted February 7, 2013 I actually want one based off of Africa after that post. Makes me think about how amazing it can be. Also will a lot of key components Africa deals with can be implied into the game, though it will be dark as heck as much as I am picturing it. How about Australia? I want a koala.... You called?
