Weiss 8,279 Posted February 24, 2013 I read that somwhere. Apparently some guy on 4Chan (this happens often) said "Oh I'm a part of Gamefreak" and said all those stuff in that article. I really don't believe thats true. Also about the suspense, yeah its taking forever. x-x It's like what they did with Zekrom and Reshiram, not sure how long it took to reveal their types, but they kept their types hidden. Only some girl working with Gamefreak wrote on her blog "My favourite Pokémon type is Electric types so Ima pick Zekrom" which hinted it was an Electric type, and then it really was an Electric type. I want to play as the female character 8D She just looks amazing Also I saw those before, and Chespin's final evolution looks like what his 2nd evolution stage should be. Fennekin and Froakie's (especially Froakie) evolutions look great though. a guy on 4chan. welp. not exactly the best source now is it? Forgot about Xekrom and Reshiram since I wasn't paying attention to pokemon at the time Maybe we'll get some kind of hint like that owO indeed, I'll probably play as the female character too. the male character just looks way more generic next you're gonna say chespin looks like a hedgehog, which it doesn't :> this is the truest information I've ever had the pleasure of reading

Weiss 8,279 Posted February 24, 2013 This is Pokémon. Where do you find logic for anything? water beats fire fire melts ice thunder electrocutes water LOGIC but yeah, I honestly do doubt it's a hedgehog

Shana09 5,769 Posted February 24, 2013 cool excuse. so its confirmed.... not a hedgehog. It's a hedgehog on his two hind legs.
Blake 776 Posted February 24, 2013 It's a hedgehog on his two hind legs. if that would be true, then it would have a fatter body, where as chipmunks are about as skinny.
Weiss 8,279 Posted February 24, 2013 It's a hedgehog on his two hind legs. but it looks nothing like a hedgehog if anything it looks like an oshawatt
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 24, 2013 if that would be true, then it would have a fatter body, where as chipmunks are about as skinny. I know it doesn't look like a Hedgehog. But apparently it was meant to be a Hedgehog.
Blake 776 Posted February 24, 2013 But apparently it was meant to be a Hedgehog. then it wouldn't be on its hind legs, and be fatter, or look like shaymin
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 24, 2013 then it wouldn't be on its hind legs, and be fatter, or look like shaymin It's name still translates to Hedgehogs.
Weiss 8,279 Posted February 24, 2013 It's name still translates to Hedgehogs. I still say it's a mistranslation
Shana09 5,769 Posted February 24, 2013 I still say it's a mistranslation Besides the chestnuts might be used since how similar it is towards the spikes on a Hedgehog. Which is why it has the outer piece of a chestnut as a hat and back-cape thing.

Shana09 5,769 Posted February 24, 2013 the "pin" is closer to porcupine if you what to be pedantic But the names already say "CHESTNUTS" and "HEDGEHOGS" all over the place, it's safe to say it is a hedgehog. Everything else is just a speculation.

VisitJoan 2,713 Posted February 24, 2013 Yes, both the Japanese and English names have something to do with hegehogs, but we should wait until they reveal the species (like Pikachu is a mouse pokemon) before we settle this argument.
