What They Should Have Done With 358/2 Days

Okay, so everyone knows by now that in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX they turned 358/2 Days into a 3 hour long film. And that`s fine and dandy, but there are certain things they did that left most fans and I, really upset. For instance, they didn't make the game playable... right from the start fans were pissed... but as we got used to the idea, we did`nt mind... then we finally got the HD Cinematics and saw that they left key elements such as Roxas leaving the Castle, out of a 3 HOUR LONG FILM... Anyway, my idea would be that somehow, they could have worked on interactive plot points.. What I mean by this is, you would let the player fight the bosses, or give them segments to play that were important to the plot.. Just a thought, what do you guys think? Any thoughts on what they should have done..

The reason they decided not te remake the game is because they had to start from scratch, and it would take a very long time before they could finish it. That is why they decided to remaster/remake (some)  cutscenes only, so they could finish the 1.5 Remix faster. You have to understand that it is not so simple to make a full remake of a game from a completely different system (in this case the DS). Same story for RE:Coded for the 2.5 Remix.

I understand... I don`t think you get what I`m saying... Just remake certain sections of the game to give the players at least a LITTLE gamplay.. For instance you get to fight Saix and escape from the castle.. You`re not remaking the WHOLE game.. just certain parts.. I think thats a good idea.

I kinda miss avoiding the Queen's Card Soilder's in the Wonderland hedge maze: that was fun. 

Maybe they could add CERTAIN missions to a rerelease, instead of the intire game? 

This isn't KH, but the game The 11th Hour is actually a two hour film with gameplay worked in around it. 

Maybe they should do that sometime.

no what i was disappointed with in this 3 hour movie of days was that they had no fight scenes added if anything they should of added in the Saix and Roxas fight which didnt get any form of appearance at all and the biggest thing they should of done was give a cinematic for the Roxas and Xion fight now that would of been badass

To be honest, most of the areas weren't brand new, of course there were a few brand new, but not all, so why didn't they just take the old models from KH2, clean them up a bit, then map controls and set the model images to the same placement and movements? It wouldn't take that long if you have 2 people doing it...

It would've been nice to see them implement certain story-relevant sections as playable. And better yet, to remake the entire game from scratch. I would've really loved to play that game on a non-handheld as the handheld version really hurts my hands to play. But honestly, they didn't seem to want to exert much effort on older releases. I mean, KH in this HD Remix pretty much looks exactly the same... with those ugly low-res faces and all. It's a pretty game for the PS2, but I felt they could've touched up the models and really made it shine on the PS3 like a proper remaster. Don't think it would've taken them as long.

 

But if they didn't want to do that, then of course they wouldn't really want to exert effort on Days. They're just focusing ahead in the future to KH3, which is understandable, I suppose. But disappointing.
