Seven Guardians of Light

Not too sure if someone had already made this discussion before and I haven;t seen one yet so here we go!

 

I had recently beat DDD (yes I know far behind D:) and even though I had already spoiled myself silly on the series and what not I can't help but be curious. As we all know Kingdom Hearts III will be the clash between the 13 Seekers of Darkness and the 7 Guardians of Light. As curious as I am about the new Org. XIII and their members I'm more worried about the 7 GoL; and from Nomura's recent interview it seems that some weilders we believe to be part of the Guardian's won't be. So my question exactly is who will be these Guardians?

 

From what I counted there are about 13 Keyblade Wielders (on the good side):

• Sora
• Riku
• Kairi
• Roxas
• Xion
• Lea (or should I say Axel?)
• Ven
• Terra
• Aqua
• Mickey
• Master Eraqus
• Master Yen Sid
• Data-Sora

 

Of course, Terra can't possibly be one of the guardian's because he's, well, pretty much gone now. (Same goes for Eraqus) & Master Yen Sid doesn't fight anymore so he's out. It's possible Data Sora could be one, but I'm not too sure.  So I guess what I'm asking is what do you guys think of this? Who do you think will be the GoL? Really interested to hear your ideas!

In Dream Drop Distance ,it was cleared out that the seven guardians of light would be Sora,Riku,Kairi,Mickey,Terra,Ventus and Aqua. First of all,Terra has disappeared for good . So that leaves us with 6 . Secondly , Ventus is in a deep sleep and only Aqua is able to wake him up . Aqua though is trapped inside the Realm Of Darkness. So that leaves us with 4 . So Lea showed potential to be a Keyblade Master and of course to become a guardian of light (which I ,personally,find impossible).Yen Sid is old and not able to handle a Keyblade and to fight . Master Eraqus is gone for good . So, that only leaves us with Sora,Riku,Kairi and Mickey. Of course , Nomura might think of having Riku and Mickey search for Aqua and therefore ,find Ventus and wake him up. But who knows ....

To answer your question, we don't know who the guardians will be.  DDD leads to the assumption that the guardians would be Sora, Riku, Mickey, Terra, Aqua, Ven (as listed by Mickey) then Lea (when he's shown to possess a keyblade) and then that's over written and scratched by leading us to Kairi taking the last spot if you unlock the secret ending.  So you can assume the guardians of light are TAV, Mickey, Sora, Riku and Kairi.  But since we're meant to surprised, I think everyone apart from Sora (and personally Kairi given the secret ending is titled "Another Guardian of Light" but that could have been a cheap trick where there's actually some dude way in the background of it who will be the Guardian of light, or it's actually gonna be Yen Sid) is the only confirmed lights, because I can't see them keeping the leading protagonist out of the action.

Something to consider: you don't apparently need to be a keyblade wielder to be one of these chosen ones. Xehanort has Xigbar and Saix on his team, neither of whom currently are in possession of a keyblade. The pre-requisites seem to simply be that you are a true-blue guardian of the Light and/or Dark.

True, Sora, Riku, Aqua and Mickey are a given. I'm not too sure about Kairi and Lea though since they're fairly new to the whole Keyblade wielding jig. But then again they don't have to become Masters to be a Guardian. (For all we know, Kairi could be a Guardian of herself) I know Terra's out of the picture... but what about his Lingering Sentiment? The thought just came to me, literally. That would kind of interesting. :happy:

Terra isn't as gone as Master Eraqus. All Sora has to do is put Terra-Xehanort in custody, go to the Keyblade Graveyard, find the Lingering Will, unlock Terra-Xehanort's heart, then fuse the body with the Lingering Will, & presto, Terra is back!

In DDD Mickey named indeed the three missing friends Aqua, Terra and Ventus.

But Terra belongs to Xehanort so he will probably be there as a darkness (Terranort).

But there's loads of theories to get around that.  We could get Aqua and save Ven then fight for Terra and he could join us, since Ansem and Xemnas (Terranorts nobody and heartless) were destroyed, and we see MX in his old form it's logical that Terra's real form is probably weak somewhere else, we have Terra's lingering sentiment just hanging around in the Keyblade graveyard etc.  Just cause we're under the assumption that MX has him doesn't necessarily mean he will not be a light, we're meant to be surprised after all.

I think Riku and Mickey could be replaced.  We're just told they're off looking for other keyblade wielders they don't necessarily have to be lights for that.

I don't want to be surprised.

I agree with your list except I think Namine has more chance at being a light then Data-Sora. We don't know what she can do with her keyblade since Kairi just starting training with her Keyblade. What I am trying to say is that it makes more sense for Namine to replace data- Sora in your list because she is one of the protagonist that Sora has to save so she will play a large role in KH3. But the only reason why people don't want Namine to be a light is because she was never shown fighting

 

Does anybody even know how to bring Data-Sora to the real world. it is still a possibility through

How kairi she is a princes how would she fight in a war come on roxas can leave sora's body and so can namine at the end of KHII
